My husband and I are long term experienced travelers. The Hotel Split is a gem among boutique hotels around the world. From the moment we arrived til we left with breakfast bags at 5am, the service was warm, genuinely caring n helpful. Janya n Tea Matate were our overall guides as we entered and left paradise. Anna seemed always available with a smile and the solution to any problem. You must try the cranial sacral therapy with Alla at the Spa! This is an American type of massage that balances the spinal fluid in the entire body relaxes. Now, about the beauty and convenience of the hotel. A beach within a few steps where the hotel has Lounge chairs and umbrellas within a foot of the Adriatic Sea. Gorgeous and spacious views to other islands, boats, people swimming n paddle boarding. Hotel heaven with a good restaurant for lunch only a few steps away on the other side. While all the rooms and public spaces are awash by direct views of the Adriatic Sea reserve one with a terrace to watch the sun from dusk to a Western sunset. We were lucky enough to book 20a which is a small apartment with the most fantastic views from our bed, our tub n our excellent terrace. I wished I could have stayed forever n hope to return again.

This has been the most terrible unlucky start of a vacatiol i think ever. First of all i would like to adress not here to complain about nothing. First the checking experience: , the hotell didnt have the order of the room that was for checkin. prosess took 30-50 min. sitting i the reseption 11 at night. The nightstaff very kind and respectfull gives us a room upgrade. The room we get is dusty, the aircondition makes weird noices and one of the girls has dustalergi. This was quite awfull but can happen anywhere. The bathroom of the new room is fludded with water all over the floor, 2 minutes after the reseptionist lets us in. The whole bathroom is filled with water, and staff had to come up. in total this prosess took 2 hours at night. Then we go to sleep, the aircondition makes some weird noice all night ) check vent. (Right sink broken and leckage) Then we get told we had to swap the room after 1 day to the original room. the staff didnt inform us what time we checkin to the new room. we where not rlly informed at all just that a change was happening. We wake up the day after, we go outside get told by reseption they appolgice for their mistake and that we will be staying on the suite for no extra cost for the whole week. They appologice for their faults. 30 minutes after the room key dosnt work, then we go down to check again, then we get told by hotell staff that that we couldnt have the room after all. then we get forced to pack our stuff with 2 hour notice for roomchange while we had plans. Absolutt dreadfull service for 18500nok payment for 1 week. We complain and the people in the reseption does not do anything about it.

Lovely hotel. We stayed 5 nights. Staff are very helpful and enthusiastic. Pool, restaurant and sun loungers all very close - with beautiful views of the Adriatic. Food at the hotel is excellent - good choice for breakfast and also a la carte evening menu. Places we visited: - Split (local bus - stops outside the hotel) - Omis (local bus the other way to Split). Nice location with a great trip by boat up the river - Local swimming very good close to Hotel Split, with facilities nearby (only a couple of hundred metres away) Thanks to all of the staff for being so helpful.

The hotel Gala is in fact the depandance of the hotel San Antonio that looks at the sea while the Gala is located between the San Antonio and the street. So the photos you see are of the hotel San Antonio. The check in is made at the hotel Antonio . When you enter the entrance of the Gala hotel, you feel a strong smell that I found linked to the smells of the washing machine under the hotel. When you open the window, you find things thrown from the hotel as if it was a discharge. The room was spacious, but had a third bed in a bed sofa that occupied all the room of manoeuvre and had a destroyed sofa, with broken dogs and unable to sleep on the opening side. tends and some tents are also bucked (not certainly by 4 stars). The swimming pool at the latest floor of San Antonio is ”dismissed” . All disorder, smell and dirt everywhere. Breakfast is enough . The only positive point was the kindness in checking in by the boy who spoke Italian. I couldn't change hotels for the rest, because they were all full in the area, but I would certainly not advise it unless it was restructured.
