GGuest UserThis year's Hangzhou spring break was 5 days long, and my child and I decided to revisit Chongqing. When I asked where he wanted to stay, he replied, 'The Regent, again.' For an 8-year-old, to choose The Regent over a brand's Greater China flagship or another hotel boasting WFC observation deck views, speaks volumes about The Regent's quality. Even before we set off, a staff member from The Regent called us to inquire about our party size, composition, room requirements, and preferences. The sweet voice on the other end of the line was so gentle and warm, and it turned out that all our little requests were indeed met upon our arrival. Then there was Nicole, the experience consultant who gave us a room tour and meticulously explained all the room's features; the gentlemanly and thoughtful older concierge at the entrance; Mr. Liu in the club lounge, who subtly replaced our cutlery when he heard it drop; and other bilingual, well-trained lounge staff who promptly refilled guests' tea. There was also the young staff member who politely bid us farewell as we were about to leave the elevator (delivering items to other rooms), and the male staff member who patiently brought our takeaways to our room multiple times, always with a smile. Not to mention the cleaning auntie who diligently read our notes and provided feedback through their internal system. It's safe to say that all staff members across every department at The Regent consistently uphold a 'ceiling-level' service standard, making guests truly feel at home. Even from a garden-view room, you can still catch a partial glimpse of Hongyadong, like a pipa player half-hiding her face. Other thoughtful touches include a complimentary first round from the minibar, three free laundry items per person per day (excluding coats), and a contactless butler cabinet. The hotel is also right next to Diamond Plaza 💎—definitely worth checking out, especially on a clear day when it's absolutely stunning. Some of the attached photos are from February this year.

AAiyahwateverPros: The hotel is conveniently located near scenic spots - it is a flight of steps towards Hong Ya Dong, 5 mins walk to Jiefangbei shopping area and a stone's throw to Guotai Arts Centre (Chopsticks building). We could see the clock tower at Jiefangbei from the room - see photo. The lobby and common spaces looked new and well maintained. There are no short of eateries and milk tea shops around the vicinity. In cooler weather, a stroll along the river to Chaotianmen takes about 20mins.  The hotel room is a smart room, you can use voice activation to control the electronics & the room is extremely clean and comfortable. The hotel also provides complimentary washing and drying facilities (self-service) which was a bonus. Cons:  I had issues connecting to wifi using the room no. & last name (login failure). When I texted the hotel via wechat, there was no reply. Some front service staff appear inexperienced and did not comfortably converse in English with non-Chinese speakers. The room could do with more hooks and hangers for convenience of changing after a shower.  Overall, my stay at UrCove was pleasant and enjoyable.

YYoYo_ailvyouVThe feeling of being on top of the world is truly satisfying, this is a real 'sky hotel'. The views of Chongqing, day and night, are simply stunning. I knew it was good, but I didn't realize it was *this* good! Right across from the Raffles City Chaotianmen skybridge, what's a photo-op spot for others became my own backyard for a stroll. Extremely satisfied, I'll definitely be back! Words can't do it justice, so I'll just let the pictures speak for themselves~~

HhjfreedomThe hotel's location is great, right next to Bayi Square and very close to Jiefangbei, as well as other tourist attractions. It's very convenient for sightseeing. The room was spacious, and had a window that could be opened for ventilation. They even provided complimentary welcome fruit. The hotel breakfast was also excellent, with a wide variety of options, including Chengdu-style noodles. The only slight downside is that the hotel's security felt a bit low, as several hotels are in the same building, and you don't need a key card to access different floors. Overall, it's great value for money and highly recommended.

AAnne-Marie BoyeldieuExcellent location in the heart of the lively (and very touristy) Yuzhong district. Very well served by public transport. Easy access from the train station. A very warm welcome from the reception staff. The room I was given (17th floor) was perfect. Spacious, well-furnished and equipped, bright, clean, and comfortable. A quiet and pleasant place if you're not constantly sightseeing. Beautiful view of the city. Very good quality bedding. Very clean and comfortable sheets, duvets, and pillows. Good-sized bathroom. Very clean as well. Good quality bath towels. The wall-mounted towel/clothes rack is poorly placed above the toilet, which is neither practical nor hygienic. And the electric towel warmer wasn't working. The room is equipped with a hairdryer, electric kettle, small refrigerator, garment steamer, and small safe. Bottled water is provided daily. In addition to coffee (in the morning) and herbal tea (all day) available in the spacious lobby with its river view, there is also a microwave and ice maker. The room's Wi-Fi was excellent. The lighting was good, and the electrical outlets were compatible with European plugs without the need for an adapter. USB ports were also available. The central air conditioning was efficient and quiet. There was a large wall mirror at the entrance to the room. Drawbacks: 1. As a non-smoker, and having specifically requested a non-smoking room in my reservation, I found the lingering smell of smoke in the room upon arrival very unpleasant. 2. There was no dedicated luggage storage, as is common in many hotels in China; therefore, luggage was left open on the floor for the entire stay. 4. It's a shame there wasn't a small armchair and table to furnish the small mezzanine area of the room to better enjoy the view and the room's space. Bonus: Laundry service with four self-service washing machines on the 18th floor. Detergent provided. I really liked the drying area equipped with portable electric dryers, which are less damaging to clothes than regular tumble dryers. Breakfast restaurant: this is the only downside. Located on the 15th floor of the building (which houses several hotels). Buffet breakfast from 7:30 am to 10:00 am. The place is cozy with a lovely view. However, depending on the day and time of day, it can be cramped and noisy, too small to comfortably accommodate all the guests without enough proper high tables. As a result, I ended up having to share my table with noisy people chewing and burping, when all I wanted was to enjoy a peaceful breakfast. The buffet wasn't extraordinary, but it was decent and well-stocked. The gym area is in the same room, separated by a half-wall (I'm not even sure I can call it a gym when there are only four machines crammed together with no space around them, and where the food bin and the restaurant's dirty dish cart are also located. Forget about getting a workout in the morning!). It's a shame they don't offer a better, quieter breakfast area for this crucial moment at the start of the day. Overall, the value for money is still quite good, even if it's significantly more expensive than Chengdu, for example, for a hotel of the same standard.

11390581****Booked two rooms with no high expectations, just wanted to bring my family for a hot spring dip. Checked in on a rainy day, and the hotel's overall architectural style, ancient and elegant, exceeded what I'd imagined. The hotel is nestled on a walkway along the Jialing River, offering views of the Zhang Fei Trail on the cliffs across the bank. The Jialing River flows gently amidst lush greenery, a stark contrast to the terrain of the Jiangnan hills, showcasing a resilient and rich landscape. If you want to experience the geomorphology and vegetation of the Sichuan-Chongqing region, this place is truly unique. Now, about the hotel's service. We had a dedicated butler who was responsive and attentive. The staff at the Chinese restaurant, in particular, were exceptional, making us feel right at home and relaxed. You can enjoy the hot springs directly in your room, listening to the rain patter on the banana leaves. Even in winter, there's no need to fly to Kyoto to experience quality hot springs. The short video perfectly captured the vibrant energy of the people from Sichuan and Chongqing.

GGuest UserClose to the subway station and easy to find. The room was clean, and it was super convenient to go downstairs to Jiefangbei for dining and shopping. The hotel service was also very thoughtful; they even helped receive items I bought online in advance. In the evening, there's a welcome drink at the revolving restaurant where you can enjoy an unbeatable night view and experience Chongqing up close. In the morning, you can also go downstairs to Jiefangbei before anyone else arrives and enjoy having the place to yourself for photos. For breakfast, you can choose between the Guibaozi downstairs or McDonald's 'Yuanyang Bao' without having to queue. I'll definitely choose this place again! 👍

GGuest UserThe hotel's location is absolutely fantastic! It's just a few minutes' walk to Hongyadong and Jiefangbei, making getting around incredibly convenient. Our room had a floor-to-ceiling window directly facing the Qianximen Bridge. During the day, the river view was magnificent, and at night, when the bridge lights up, it was absolutely dazzling and created such a wonderful atmosphere. Highly recommend!

AAocunxianrenI stayed one night in a quite spacious city view suite, and two nights in an even more spacious river view suite. The hotel facilities are exquisite, and the location is convenient. There's a really nice swimming pool, and a usable gym, though the equipment is poorly maintained and starting to smell of sweat. Breakfast was good. To be honest, the river view suite was significantly more expensive, and the river view was indeed nice. However, the traffic noise from the riverside and the road below made it difficult to sleep, especially the constant hum of boat engines from the river, which could abruptly wake you up late at night.

Ffenghai20As a frequent traveler, my recent stay at Le Méridien Chongqing, Nan'an, truly felt like a home away from home. The entire experience exceeded my expectations, and I simply have to praise it! First off, the hotel's location is incredibly convenient. It's close to the subway and surrounded by easily accessible transportation, making it a breeze to get to various attractions. For anyone traveling with luggage, this is a huge relief. Despite being in the heart of a bustling commercial area, the hotel offers a peaceful retreat. My room was surprisingly quiet, completely undisturbed by outside noise, which was perfect for a restful sleep. Stepping into the guest room, my immediate impression was how clean and comfortable it was. The decor was cozy yet elegant, and all the bedding and towels were spotless and odorless. Even the corners were meticulously cleaned, showing just how much effort the hotel puts into its housekeeping. The room was fully equipped with everything I needed: the air conditioning, TV, and water heater all worked perfectly. Charging outlets were conveniently placed, and thoughtful additions like shelves and bedside tables showed great attention to detail, meeting all a traveler's needs. Each day after returning from sightseeing, my room was neatly tidied, and drinking water and toiletries were replenished – this level of care truly made me feel valued. The hotel's service was impeccable. From the front desk to the concierge, and from room service to the restaurant staff, everyone was warm and patient. Daisy spoke gently, Nancy was incredibly efficient, and Suki at the guest services center handled requests promptly. Coincidentally, it was my anniversary during my stay, and the hotel thoughtfully prepared welcome fruits and a handwritten blessing card. These small surprises instantly added an extra touch of warmth to my trip. When I accidentally left a small item behind during an outing, I contacted the hotel, and the staff immediately located and safely stored it, patiently explaining how to retrieve it. They were truly dependable. Breakfast was also a fantastic experience. The restaurant environment was clean and bright, with spacious seating. The variety of food was extensive, with hot dishes, cold dishes, main courses, desserts, fruits, and drinks – everything was fresh and delicious. The freshly made Chongqing noodles, in particular, were spicy, savory, and incredibly flavorful – I instantly fell in love and started my day feeling energized. The hotel's public areas were also meticulously maintained. The elevators operated smoothly, and the lobby's resting area was comfortable and spacious. It was a thoughtful touch to be able to sit down and rest my feet or grab a hot cup of water when I was tired. My stay at Le Méridien Chongqing, Nan'an, truly showed me how dedicated the hotel is to each guest. The facilities are excellent, the service is incredibly detailed, and it offers great value for money. Here, I not only had a comfortable stay but also felt a tremendous sense of warmth – it was truly an exceptional travel experience. I've already recommended this hotel to friends planning a trip to Chongqing, and I will definitely choose it again on my next visit!
