"My wife and I only had one night in this wonderful hotel. Its location is perfect, only 200 m to the southwest of the People’s Liberation Monument. The hotel has rooms on two floors of the Xinhua International building, with reception on level 46. The reception area feels very homely, with friendly staff, comfortable chairs, several types of tea for tasting and soft drinks available for purchase. The building has interesting sloping windows on all four corners, and at least some of the corner rooms have beds that face the windows with marvellous views at all times of the day and night. Our room faced northeast, with Raffles City in the distance. We enjoyed walking top to bottom at Shibati (take subway to Jiaochangkou), a beer at the Shua Bar on Level 42 of the Intercontinental Hotel in Raffles City (no need to pay to go to the other end of the elevated platform, you can walk on the glass floor for the cost of a beer), wonderful spicy noodles at a restaurant behind the hotel (十八梯邓凳面, Eighteen Steps Dengdeng Noodles). When you check in at Reception, scan the big QR code and they will send PDFs with recommended tourist attractions and restaurants nearby (you can ask questions via WeChat throughout your stay)."

"Thank you for the welcome teatime set from hotel. The room is very clean and comfortable. The bed is just nice, can enjoy movie in room. Nice city view from the room. Comment a bit for the toilet, hope to improve the glass divider because those who using toilet bowl at the same time can see through the semi transparent glass to the shower toilet from the other side. Walk down the building have lots of restaurants. Hotel reception shared us their recommended local restaurants, I tried one of it, which is 老丘丘, reasonable price and delicious ChongQing local food. Overall is very good, location also nice."

"A Refreshing Upgrade ISEYA Panoramic Hotel (Chongqing Jiefangbei Flagship)
I originally booked a different hotel on Trip.com, but after checking in, it just didn’t meet my expectations. So I walked over to ISEYA Panoramic Hotel, which I had also seen on Trip.com and it turned out to be the perfect decision.
The staff were incredibly helpful and welcoming, they took the time to show me different room types until I found exactly what I was looking for. That kind of flexibility and kindness really made a difference after a rough start to the day.
The location is excellent, just steps from Jiefangbei Pedestrian Street and in same building of a mall (Yingli International Financial Center) with lots of dining options, including a halal Turkish restaurant on the 6th floor, which was a great surprise.
The room itself felt welcoming with the layout, Nespresso machine, projector with sound system, and a stunning view of the Chongqing skyline. The curtain system was thoughtful: a combination of sheer shades and blackout curtains gave me both privacy and beautiful daylight throughout the day.
Tip: If you’re staying on the 59th floor, you’ll need to switch elevators on the 58th floor. not an issue, just something to note."

"Overall a good stay for the price and location! The hotel is in an excellent spot, just a 5 minute walk across to Raffles Plaza and right next to a convenience store, which was very convienent. The room was comfortable, though there were some minor hygiene issues like dust, nothing too concerning.
One drawback is that the hotel is inside a commercial building with only two lifts serving both guests and the public, so at peak times we waited up to 5 minutes. On arrival, our assigned room did not fully match the listing and one of the lights was flickering, but since it was already midnight, staff offered to move us the next afternoon. Their quick and considerate service recovery left a positive impression despite the slight hiccup."

"I enjoyed this hotel very much.
At first I was concerned about the lobby renovations on the first floor because the ‘front desk’ on the 4th floor was quite cluttered. However, the room was exactly like the photos and nicely cleaned. The view left me in awe!
The day of checkin I left my purse in the taxi and the front desk clerks were extremely HELPFUL. They spoke with the driver and helped me to reclaim my bag. The service was 10/10.
The hotel is nearby a beautiful pedestrian street and I enjoyed shopping, eating, and the sights. I would stay here again!"

"It was my birthday weekend and they surprised me with a cute gift which was heartwarming. Unfortunately, on this trip it was too rainy, cloudy, and windy to get a view from the viewing point so I don't have those to post. Breakfast was dim sum, rice, veggies, noodle soup, breads, and they made eggs and had a coffee machine. Rooms were comfortable and the staff was very attentive and eager to help. As mentioned, do take extra time for the elevators especially around checkout and breakfast time. Overall, great stay and we expect to return."

"Hotel is located at a quieter side of Jiefangbei which is something that we preferred. It is still facing the road side however it is not as messy.
The apartment is very clean and that it comes with washing machine, good for people that like to travel light and wash clothes. The cleaner lady does clean your room everyday and replenishes the detergent therefore not having a need to bring your own.
It uses Dyson hair dryer which is a + points for us! One item for debate is they use electronic lock which password will be shared via wechat, therefore if you are uncomfortable do think twice!
They have a wechat group that can help you collect parcels as well as food deliveries. The room is spacious and really clean! SmartTv and has one of the nicest view facing the lake in ChongQing"

The rooms are immaculately clean, tastefully appointed, and filled with thoughtful small touches that pique your interest in the new surroundings. Despite being nestled among residential buildings, there was absolutely no noise or disturbance.
The young lady at the front desk was polite and efficient. She thoughtfully provided a breakfast guide video and the Wi-Fi password during check-in, and later in the evening, a complimentary fruit platter was delivered to my room. Upon checkout, I was surprised with a bag of local specialty snacks, explained as 'something to enjoy on your journey.' It's these small, comforting gestures that truly make a difference.
As a business traveler, this kind of thoughtful attention to detail is exactly what we look for.

WWwdaxiaowangArriving in Chongqing from Shijiazhuang, our subsequent stay during this trip was at the Regent Hotel. Let me just say upfront, this review of the Regent reflects the genuine experience of my family and me.
The hotel's facilities are exceptionally comprehensive, and they truly think of everything for their guests. Even hair curlers are available, and they can provide retainer cases and contact lens care supplies. We hadn't brought contact lenses due to travel inconvenience, nor had I brought my retainer, but honestly, staying at the Regent, you truly don't need to worry about such small details. Speaking of facilities, the hotel offers a swimming pool, a bar, Chinese and Western restaurants, kids' DIY activities, and much more.
Despite being a nine-year-old hotel, it is immaculately clean and well-maintained. The overall ambiance and design are very stylish and perfectly complement Chongqing's local culture and charm, with excellent attention to detail.
But above all, it was the service that truly stood out and was the primary reason I chose the Regent. I experienced the hotel's exceptional service two days before check-in, when they proactively inquired about our room preferences and requirements, even offering a choice of pillows. Upon arrival at the hotel, a dedicated staff member was there to open the car door, and our luggage was promptly taken care of by another staff member. During check-in, we were even presented with thoughtful and exquisite children's gift sets. While waiting in the lounge, a warm and welcoming staff member offered us drinks. After a brief respite, we entered our room to find it meticulously prepared for us, including the arrangement of latex and buckwheat pillows. The mattress was a KingKoil, and while the sleeping experience, though excellent, was perhaps a tad less perfect than our premium mattress at home, it was still very good. The toilet was a TOTO with a Washlet, and as someone who's had experience with TOTO products, I was thoroughly impressed.
The staff members were all very enthusiastic and patiently answered and handled any questions or requests. Daily housekeeping and turndown service were provided, ensuring the room was spotless, tidy, and created a wonderfully inviting ambiance. Thoughtful touches like glasses cleaning cloths, weather cards, cable ties, premium bath amenities, and even handling of laundry were all impeccable. The staff at the DIY area, swimming pool, Two Rivers Bar, and dining areas were all exceptionally good. My son was right at the 1.2-meter height threshold, yet they didn't charge for his meals.
The hotel gifted us Chongqing noodles as a souvenir, and we were even allowed to keep the room key cards as a memento. They also gave us dessert vouchers, and we received beautifully packed desserts to enjoy on our journey home. My sincere gratitude once again to every single staff member.
Well, I'll stop here; there are simply too many thoughtful details to list them all. This hotel truly sets a benchmark that many others should aspire to!

GGuest UserDuring the Spring Festival, my family chose Longmen Pucun B&B to celebrate the Spring Festival. The village is green, with small bridges and flowing water. The various landscapes are beautifully arranged. The room space design is very stylish. There is a public tea room and lazy sofas in the room, so you can be quiet during the festival. The housekeeper contacted me on WeChat early and turned on the air conditioning and floor heating in the room in advance, which was full of warmth. The dinner and breakfast in the restaurant are delicious, and the service pays attention to details. I will go to Pucun again if I have the chance.

JJiaaaRHighly recommend this hotel!! It is in the perfect location - actually in the same building as the observatory deck, so very convenient to dress up and go up to take some sunset and night pictures with the skyline. They have laundry facilities and provide soap. Our room was spacious and very comfortable. They don’t provide normal linen bath towels but instead provide disposable towels which is more hygienic. The girl at front desk was always smiling and happy to help. Other commenters says there is poor soundproofing and the A/C is loud but we didn’t feel that way in our room. We stayed for 6 nights and we are very satisfied. We got a normal city view room and still saw a bit of the river, but I saw the view from one of the river view rooms and it was beautiful! Splurge and get the river view if you can.

GGuest UserUnfortunately experienced bed bug bites during my stay. Housekeeping was below expectations, cleaning wasn't done thoroughly each day. The table remained dirty, the cups were not properly washed, and the body shampoo went missing after housekeeping (likely taken for refilling but never returned).
On the positive side, the room was nicely designed with smart home features, and the location is very convenient. Breakfast was delicious with a good variety of food options. However, service could be improved. There was no staff at reception when we were there at night, and a security guard had to call someone for awhile to assist us.

The aircon kept increasing in temp up to 27C although set at 20C...when informed, reception said it was centralised and nothing can be done... Just switch off the aircon and open the window! - so why put aircon control in room in the first place?
No sign in English for foreign tourist to find this hotel therefore confusing to find as there are 3 hotels in the same building!
The windows are NOT cleaned, so although I had the bridge view due to the dirty windows, it was NOT worth the price.

GGuest UserOverall, as stated by many other reviews, this hotel is the value-for-money champion. Personally, I would rate if a hotel were a real five star hotel or simply a 'self-proclaimed' five star hotel based on the service rendered. Le Meridien Chongqing excelled in this aspect. Every staff member I had interacted with was friendly and warm.
Check-in: Was swift and unlike many chinese hotels which are distrusting of their customers, they did not ask for a deposit. Saves the hassle.
Room: It was spacious, I had previously read some other reviews which complained about the red cupboard at the entrance was terrifying, but personally I liked the chinese style decor. The aircon was slightly noisy and not the most effective, but I liked sleeping in a slightly cooler room. The bed was comfortable, although one side seemed to be more 'slept in' than the other, possibly a sign of the hotel's age. I did also notice some stains and wear and tear in the room but it was nothing serious so I will let that slide. The greatest sign of wear and tear is the shower head, which although was Hansgrohe branded, felt like it was about to break when I tried to change the shower mode. Toiletries were from the Malin+Goetz brand, which I really liked! But of course, ThisWorks branded ones used by Marriott hotels are slightly better.
Facilities: There was an indoor pool and a well-equipped gym- with a smith machine, something that is not available in some 5 star hotels. Impressive!
Breakfast: This was the greatest let down in the stay experience. As I was going up the lift, I noticed a sign stating that breakfast was on promotion at 68RMB per person. That could not mean anything good. The breakfast experience was cut to the bone. There were almost no hot cooked food options, except from basics such as eggs, toast, cooked chongqing noodles(plain) and dumplings. There is simply no way that this acceptable as a 5 star hotel breakfast, something that seems to be mentioned by other reviewers.
Other hotel restaurants- Not too sure why I bothered to try out the other hotel restaurants after the disappointing breakfast but, the chinese restaurant served food that was tasty, but the so-called ala-carte buffet was not great. The food options seemed like leftovers from another hotel buffet or something, and I counted a total of 5 pieces of beef when I ordered the dish 'black pepper beef'. Service was good and seemed well-intentioned though, although they seemed puzzled that I was not ordering more-- The food was not good!
Location: Located in Nan'an, I had chosen this hotel as it offered better value for money than its 5 star competitors in JieFangBei or the Conrad. It was also located in front of a Rail Transit station although I only used it once since the trains were crowded and it was quicker to grab a DiDi around. I think the biggest plus regarding its location is the adjacent Wanda Plaza, which had everything from a Sephora, Uniqlo and many other shops. I regretted not visiting it first before hopping on the train.
To summarise, I would recommend a first time visitor to Chongqing to stay in this hotel, but would I visit it again? Perhaps not, as I would like to try out other options in Chongqing that are newer, and can provide better breakfasts.

GGuest UserThis is a serviced apartment and I booked 2 x two bedroom River view apartments for my family of 6. We are from the UK and Hong Kong. The apartment was very spacious 128 sq metres with big living room, dining room, kitchen, separate laundry room, master bedroom + en-suite and walk-in closet and 2nd bedroom with bathroom. The view of the river was amazing. The property is right by the riverside in a relatively quiet area and next door is a police station. Chongqing is a very heavily populated city and it was somewhat of a relief to come back to a more peaceful area. It’s very safe and behind the property about 10 mins walk up the stair route is a shopping district. Note: this is a serviced apartment and there are families who live here on a longer term basis. I didn’t notice any big tour group style guests either. It’s not a huge famous branded hotel, so you need to carry the name card and address of the property to tell the taxi drivers.
The breakfast is a simple buffet style. More continental style with a few more hot add-ons like dumplings and eggs. You can also order takeout and the it will be delivered to your room via a robot!
The front desk staff are very helpful although they don’t really speak much English. However, they do try to use a translation app and we were able to converse. They would give us recommendations on tourist hotspots and detailed explanations on how to get there by public transportation. The staff may not be so international, but they are friendly, helpful and kind hearted if you give them some patience. I must commend Nancy from front desk for helping me to courier a jacket which I left in the wardrobe after check-out. It was delivered back to my home in Hong Kong the next day. Much appreciation for her texting me in English and having such a helpful manner.
I was able to use the washing machine/dryer for my laundry and found it thoughtful that they provided a sachet of washing powder. The appliances : fridge, microwave, washing machine, electric hobs are all good quality Siemens, Electrolux. Whilst the property is slightly dated, the decor of the rooms themselves are comfortable and clean and had the sense of quiet luxury. I would recommend that they put in a better quality of shower curtain to keep up with the rest of the decor. Rooms are cleaned daily and towels refreshed daily too. They don’t have cotton buds or cotton wool, toothbrush etc. in the bathroom trays like the do in normal hotels but the front desk do give you a set of toothbrush upon check-in. I believe this is something to do with an eco-friendly policy.
My family members used the pool facilities in the mornings and found it to be big enough for a good swim. The only thing they were not used to was lack of a life-guard manning the pool and also the sauna and steam room were a bit dated.
Overall, a very positive experience and good value for the price. It is like a home away from home and excellent for families who want to be together, yet also retreat to their own rooms.

QQiqishishijiuInside Fairy Mountain, you can walk very close to the tree tops. The key is that the scenery is very good. The green trees and white clouds set off each other. It is really beautiful. Except that it is not particularly convenient to take a taxi and the house is not very soundproof (it seems to have a soundproof room). It's really cost-effective. Breakfast is a buffet, including cold potatoes, porridge, eggs, steamed buns, vegetarian fried cabbage, pickled mustard, steamed pumpkin, and soy milk. I think it tastes very good, especially the potatoes. I just like the crunch. Yes, the customer service attitude is also very good. The hair dryer here is a bit different. You have to press a button all the time after powering on, which is a bit troublesome, but the hair is really smooth after being blown out. In short, it is very good.
