PoledebuerganluoFor my trip to Chongqing, I specifically chose the Shushan 1946 Hotel, tucked away in the middle of Yuzhong Mountain. My entire stay far exceeded expectations, making it a true hidden gem of a boutique hotel on this trip.
The hotel is a renovation of a 1946 Republican-era courtyard house, nestled on the hillside of Huanghuayuan Victory Lane. Backed by a forest and facing the Jialing River, its location is simply superb. It's close to the metro station, offering convenient access to core attractions like Jiefangbei and Hongyadong. At the same time, its secluded hillside setting provides a peaceful escape from the city's hustle and bustle, truly achieving a sense of tranquility amidst the noise with excellent privacy.
The entire courtyard retains a strong Republican-era architectural heritage. Red brick old foreign-style houses, vintage staircases, and elegant courtyards, combined with old trees and greenery, create an incredible atmosphere. Every corner offers a picturesque, film-like scene, perfect for casual photography. The hotel even thoughtfully provides small props for photos, showing great attention to detail. The guest rooms feature a minimalist, warm wooden style, with clean and elegant decor and a premium feel. The cleanliness throughout the room was impeccable, with spotless corners and no overlooked areas. The bedding was soft and skin-friendly with excellent blackout curtains, ensuring a particularly quiet night and very high-quality sleep. The bathroom has a separate wet and dry area, and the toiletries have a fresh and pleasant scent. The amenities are comprehensive, making for a comfortable and worry-free stay.
The most impressive aspect was the hotel's butler service. Before check-in, the butler proactively sent directions for getting up the mountain and a travel guide. Upon arrival, they helped with luggage. The service was gentle, polite, and perfectly discreet, never overly intrusive. The complimentary afternoon tea on the terrace during my stay was exquisite and delicious, and every evening, a heartwarming sweet soup was provided, making the experience truly exceptional. The hotel offers 24-hour butler service and complimentary laundry and ironing, responding promptly to all requests, which was very thoughtful. Breakfast is a set menu featuring a combination of Chinese and Western dishes, including authentic Chongqing dandan noodles with peas and minced meat (wandanmian) and wontons, as well as delicate Western options. The taste is authentic and the selection is rich.
Overall, this is a distinctive hotel that combines historical heritage, a serene environment, and attentive service. It doesn't have the commercialized feel of a typical 'influencer' hotel; it's quiet, healing, and full of character. It's perfect for a relaxing vacation in Chongqing, and the experience was truly exceptional. I will definitely stay here again on my next visit to Chongqing!

BoboboYFacilities: The hotel facilities are excellent, and the rooms are well-equipped, primarily focusing on hot springs. The water quality is very good, and you can adjust the hot spring temperature yourself. You can soak 24 hours a day, and privacy is also good. After soaking, you can also enjoy a massage or spa.
Hygiene: Everything was very clean. The villa renovation was well done.
Environment: The overall hotel environment is great, with duplex rooms. The surrounding area has complete amenities and is a small commercial district, so delivery services are very convenient. The only slight drawback is the soundproofing; you can hear people moving up and down the stairs next door.
Service: The service is excellent; they are very responsive and always help guests with any issues. Overall, I'm very satisfied.

I never expected to find such a warm and inviting hotel hidden away in Ciqikou Ancient Town.
Traveling with kids, finding the right room type is always a headache, but the family room we booked this time was perfect – the beds were big enough, the space was generous, and my child didn't want to get out of the bathtub. Even better, you can take a taxi directly to the main entrance, and there's an underground parking lot too. It's so convenient, it hardly feels like you're in an ancient town.
In the center of the courtyard is a pavilion, surrounded by small stools. When the fire was lit, a singer played guitar in the pavilion. I sat by the fire with a craft beer in hand, feeling the warmth on my face, and my mind just emptied – I wasn't thinking about anything, just the crackling of the firewood. In that moment, it felt like I was sitting in an old courtyard deep in the mountains, where time slowed down enough to hear my own heartbeat. Xiao Qing and Xiao Tuo at the front desk were also very attentive, reminding us about the fire and singing in the evening when we checked in.
The hotel is called 'Yueyin Chongqing Courtyard', and it's such a fitting name. It truly feels like a hidden courtyard in the city, full of life and human touch.
Next time I come to Chongqing, I'll probably detour here just for this fire again.

The hotel itself is good, with an excellent location and a decent breakfast, especially considering the price. However, looking at the pictures, doesn't it resemble a product promotion center? I haven't seen anything like it in hotels of the same caliber. The hotel manager did say that if I don't like it next time, I can let them know in advance and they'll remove it.

Andy641666I had heard that Regent Chongqing was renowned for its exceptional service even before checking in, and my stay certainly confirmed it. The meticulous service and attention to detail truly made me feel at home, with a strong sense of personalized care. For instance, the butler cabinet in the room was a delightful surprise, incredibly convenient and elegant. What's more, the hotel thoughtfully offers complimentary laundry service for three items per person, which is a wonderful touch compared to the paid laundry services at other luxury hotels. As for the public areas, the 'Two Rivers Bar' boasts an elegant and grand design with fantastic views that are far from tacky, and the live music was excellent. For evening baths, you can choose from various options, and the rose petal bath was incredibly romantic, providing a perfect way to relax after a tiring day. There were also numerous other thoughtful details, such as face masks, postcards, a pillow menu, and a complimentary mini-bar, all incredibly well-designed. There was a minor hiccup during my stay; although the hotel doesn't offer a full view of Hongyadong, the front desk attendant tried her best to move me to a room with a slightly better view. Additionally, the automatic flush on the electric toilet wasn't always working, and the light switches were occasionally unresponsive, requiring multiple presses. However, considering this hotel has been open for nearly ten years, I didn't bother the front desk with these small imperfections, as they are understandable, haha. All in all, Regent Chongqing is indeed the best and most service-oriented hotel in Chongqing, truly in a league of its own! I highly recommend staying here! I look forward to my next visit!

Guest UserAfter the Gaokao (college entrance exam), Chongqing was our first stop for our graduation trip, and I spent a long time searching online for a guesthouse. This one had great ratings and reviews, so I booked Bodhi. When we checked in, the housekeeper showed us to our room and explained all the facilities and amenities. They even gave us a welcome gift bag with things like toilet seat covers and bathtub liners – all very useful during our stay. The room itself was incredibly spacious; my friend and I were super comfortable. It had a projector with a built-in subscription, and even a Bluetooth speaker, making our stay really pleasant. It's been raining in Chongqing these past two days, but watching the night view of the river from our room was still a unique and wonderful experience.

Pros: The breathtaking views of Jinyun Mountain and the Jialing River are truly exceptional from this location. The hot spring facilities are also impressive, with a good variety of pools and a cleverly designed, intricate layout.
Cons: The hotel's hardware facilities are quite outdated. For this price point, the hotel could definitely learn from the operational standards of top-tier brands. Furthermore, the breakfast selection is limited, and the toiletries in the room are of poor quality – these are areas with significant room for improvement. Large sections of wooden panels in the public areas are discolored or in disrepair.
Overall: If you're looking for value for money, you might want to reconsider. However, if budget isn't an issue and you prioritize experiencing the beautiful scenery and hot springs, it's definitely worth a visit. Finally, the complimentary travel photoshoot provided by the hotel was a nice touch, and I'd like to commend the photographer, Zixuan, for her excellent service.

Guest UserThe room was quite spacious, with a low table by the window and a bay window, perfect for relaxing after a long day of sightseeing. It was very comfortable. The bedding was also very comfortable, with soft duvets, though I did spend quite a while trying to figure out the bedside lamp, haha. The bathroom and toilet were in separate spaces, with the sink outside, all three being independent, which was incredibly convenient and a huge plus! Many other hotels don't offer such a thoughtful layout. The reception isn't on the same floor as the guest rooms, and there's a dedicated lounge area where you can work, read, or watch shows. The room's soundproofing was good; I didn't even hear the heavy rainstorm outside last night. The lady at the front desk was very friendly and even gave us two bottles of water for our journey when we checked out, which was a very thoughtful touch. You can also store your luggage at the front desk. The hotel is situated in a tranquil area surrounded by schools, museums, and memorials, making for a beautiful environment. It's accessible from two subway stations, and there's a police car on duty right downstairs, as well as security guards, so it feels very safe. I highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Chongqing, especially with many historical 'red' attractions nearby, perfect for a leisurely stroll.

Guest UserChoosing the Westin Chongqing Jiefangbei for my trip was absolutely the best decision! I have to give it a huge five-star rating!
First off, the location is unbeatable. The hotel is right in the heart of the Jiefangbei central business district. It's just a few minutes' walk downstairs to Jiefangbei Monument and Bayi Delicious Street, making it super convenient for shopping and dining. The nearby subway station also makes getting to various attractions incredibly easy.
Then there's the service, which was truly exceptional! The day before check-in, a staff member from the hotel's guest experience department proactively called me and then added me on WeChat. They sent detailed check-in instructions and various practical tips in advance, which made me feel completely at ease even before arriving. During my stay, any questions I had on WeChat were answered promptly, with a very quick response time. From the front desk to housekeeping, every employee was warm, attentive, professional, and efficient, truly making me feel at home!
The breakfast was another major highlight! The variety was incredibly rich, with both Chinese and Western delicacies, plus authentic local specialties like Chongqing noodles and spicy wontons. Every morning, I had a super satisfying meal!
Finally, the room was spotless and tidy, with extremely high hygiene standards. The bedding was soft and comfortable, and the Westin's 'Heavenly Bed' was truly amazing to sleep on – I had a wonderful night's rest!
In summary, this stay was perfect, and I will definitely choose this hotel again on my next visit to Chongqing. I highly recommend it to all friends visiting Chongqing!

Guest UserI've stayed at this hotel a few times now. I originally booked a great deal on ** but it seems it was too good to be true because they quietly canceled my reservation without sending me an SMS or system notification. I only found out I didn't have a booking when I arrived at the hotel to check in at midnight (this is the second time this has happened). Luckily, there was one last room available on Ctrip, and I immediately snatched it up, otherwise, I would have had to find another hotel in the middle of the night. This hotel is clean, hygienic, and odor-free, and the breakfast is pretty good too (too bad Ctrip doesn't offer it for free or allow points redemption).
