I chose Shushan 1946 for my trip to Chongqing, and the entire stay far exceeded my expectations. As soon as I confirmed my booking, a dedicated concierge proactively sent detailed instructions, clearly explaining the uphill routes of the mountain city and providing helpful travel tips.
The hotel is nestled amidst a cluster of old Republican-era villas halfway up the mountain, very close to Jiefangbei and Hongyadong. It's just a stone's throw from the bustling city, yet remarkably quiet within the courtyard, truly achieving tranquility amidst the noise. What was most heartwarming was the constant thoughtful 'feeding': fresh welcome fruit upon arrival, a complimentary exquisite afternoon tea, and a perfectly balanced sweet soup at bedtime. Breakfast offered both local Chongqing specialties like noodles and wontons, alongside refined Western dishes. The variety was rich, and the ingredients were high-quality. Even if you slept in, there was still plenty of time for a leisurely meal.
The staff handled everything with perfect discretion; they weren't intrusive but were incredibly prompt in responding to any requests. The old house exudes an amazing atmosphere, and the courtyard and terrace offer expansive views. Sitting there, enjoying the breeze and admiring the river view, was incredibly relaxing. Whether for a short getaway or to experience the old charm of the mountain city, this place is definitely a worthwhile choice!

BoboboYFacilities: The hotel facilities are excellent, and the rooms are well-equipped, primarily focusing on hot springs. The water quality is very good, and you can adjust the hot spring temperature yourself. You can soak 24 hours a day, and privacy is also good. After soaking, you can also enjoy a massage or spa.
Hygiene: Everything was very clean. The villa renovation was well done.
Environment: The overall hotel environment is great, with duplex rooms. The surrounding area has complete amenities and is a small commercial district, so delivery services are very convenient. The only slight drawback is the soundproofing; you can hear people moving up and down the stairs next door.
Service: The service is excellent; they are very responsive and always help guests with any issues. Overall, I'm very satisfied.

DaiwazhubianzhongguoI never expected to find such a warm and inviting hotel hidden away in Ciqikou Ancient Town.
Traveling with kids, finding the right room type is always a headache, but the family room we booked this time was perfect – the beds were big enough, the space was generous, and my child didn't want to get out of the bathtub. Even better, you can take a taxi directly to the main entrance, and there's an underground parking lot too. It's so convenient, it hardly feels like you're in an ancient town.
In the center of the courtyard is a pavilion, surrounded by small stools. When the fire was lit, a singer played guitar in the pavilion. I sat by the fire with a craft beer in hand, feeling the warmth on my face, and my mind just emptied – I wasn't thinking about anything, just the crackling of the firewood. In that moment, it felt like I was sitting in an old courtyard deep in the mountains, where time slowed down enough to hear my own heartbeat. Xiao Qing and Xiao Tuo at the front desk were also very attentive, reminding us about the fire and singing in the evening when we checked in.
The hotel is called 'Yueyin Chongqing Courtyard', and it's such a fitting name. It truly feels like a hidden courtyard in the city, full of life and human touch.
Next time I come to Chongqing, I'll probably detour here just for this fire again.

Guest UserI arrived at the hotel around 10 PM on Friday, July 31st.
After working non-stop for half a month, I finally had two days off and decided to visit Chongqing. I specifically chose the only Regent hotel in the southwest region, hoping to recapture that sense of peace and comfort I remembered.
Traveling from Guiyang, I was quite disheveled and exhausted. However, upon entering the hotel, my weariness and fatigue gradually began to subside. There was no opulent decor or dazzling crystal chandeliers, but rather an entryway that seemed to filter out some of my frustrations and tiredness. What followed was a quiet atmosphere with warm, dim lighting that allowed me to slowly calm down and relax. This shows that good design isn't about extravagance, but about matching the scene – and for a place of rest, this design was perfectly executed.
On my way to Chongqing, I communicated my check-in preferences to the staff, who meticulously confirmed the details and helped prepare two **bear-themed greeting cards**. They were adorable, and I loved them! The messages inside were also very heartwarming. It truly feels wonderful when your requests are taken seriously!
The most enjoyable experience that day was definitely the bubble bath. Soaking in the warm bathtub with a glass of wine allowed my tense body and mind to slowly unwind, soothe, and relax during that time. Without any specific purpose or demands, just drinking wine and taking a bath. In those moments, time and the night itself became incredibly gentle.
I was very well looked after by the hotel staff. Thank you all for your hard work!

The hotel itself is good, with an excellent location and a decent breakfast, especially considering the price. However, looking at the pictures, doesn't it resemble a product promotion center? I haven't seen anything like it in hotels of the same caliber. The hotel manager did say that if I don't like it next time, I can let them know in advance and they'll remove it.

Guest UserVisited with family, had been wanting to come here for a long time. Before arrival, the hotel's guest butler, Yannie, proactively added me on WeChat and introduced the hotel. Upon alighting, our luggage was directly sent to the room. We booked a suite this time, facing Nanbin Road, with Chaotianmen where the two rivers meet to the right. The high-altitude river view was superb. The kids absolutely loved it. The room was very clean; I used a white cloth to wipe the railing in front of the panoramic window, and it was spotless [strong emoji]. Booking a suite included afternoon tea at Bar 62, which offered an unbeatable view of the two rivers converging – what we ate didn't even matter anymore. I left my room key there and when we returned after dinner, it was handed back to us exactly as I left it [strong emoji]. They also provided welcome fruit, a handwritten welcome card, red wine, and dessert. As for the summer special drink and ice cream scoop, we didn't get a chance to try them [facepalm emoji]. The breakfast selection wasn't extensive, but it felt more refined, and there was also an à la carte menu. Upon departure, we received a farewell gift of two packets of Qiaotou hotpot seasoning.

CherrylinlinmaThis hotel is conveniently located near Guanyin Bridge, making transportation a breeze. While it's not the newest hotel, the room facilities are still quite good. The rooms are spacious and very clean, and the breakfast spread is excellent. The staff are all incredibly warm and attentive, especially Jackie and Bella, who really made us feel right at home.

Pros: The breathtaking views of Jinyun Mountain and the Jialing River are truly exceptional from this location. The hot spring facilities are also impressive, with a good variety of pools and a cleverly designed, intricate layout.
Cons: The hotel's hardware facilities are quite outdated. For this price point, the hotel could definitely learn from the operational standards of top-tier brands. Furthermore, the breakfast selection is limited, and the toiletries in the room are of poor quality – these are areas with significant room for improvement. Large sections of wooden panels in the public areas are discolored or in disrepair.
Overall: If you're looking for value for money, you might want to reconsider. However, if budget isn't an issue and you prioritize experiencing the beautiful scenery and hot springs, it's definitely worth a visit. Finally, the complimentary travel photoshoot provided by the hotel was a nice touch, and I'd like to commend the photographer, Zixuan, for her excellent service.

Mr.gunZhangStaying at the Westin Jiefangbei again after six years, it still feels just as familiar. Coming to Chongqing in the summer to experience the heatwave was quite something.
**Environment:** The hotel is a towering building with an elegant ambiance, and it's super convenient for shopping and dining nearby.
**Service:** Someone proactively opened the car door for us and guided us upstairs for check-in.
**Westin | IFS Stay Perks:** The executive lounge's light meals were decent, but honestly, Chongqing has so much amazing food that we just couldn't eat anymore.
**Facilities:** The hotel pool was great, and my child had a blast. Breakfast was also very rich and varied.

Dabuer⚡️The location is fantastic, making getting around super easy. Ziwei Road is right across the street, so grabbing a Heytea is incredibly convenient! In the evening, after a drink or two, it's just a two-minute walk back to the hotel. The room was clean, the bedding was soft and comfy against the skin, and the soundproofing was excellent – I slept soundly all night. The breakfast selection was quite diverse and totally exceeded my expectations; it felt like incredible value for money. Besides the usual Chinese and Western options, I highly recommend the freshly made noodles – they were delicious, and you can customize the spice level yourself. Overall, the experience was great. I'll definitely choose this place again next time I'm in Chongqing!
