DDr. OscarLongmen Pu Village: A Serene Escape into Chongqing's Mountain Charm As an avid traveler, I recently had the pleasure of experiencing Longmen Pu Village, a remarkable resort nestled in the heart of Chongqing's stunning mountain landscape. From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the seamless blend of modern comforts and the region's rich, traditional charm. The resort's accommodations are a true delight – beautifully designed rooms that effortlessly combine sleek, contemporary aesthetics with the warmth and character of the local countryside. The attention to detail is truly impressive, creating a sense of tranquility and authenticity that is all too rare in today's hospitality landscape. One of the standout features of my stay was the opportunity to explore the entire village on my last night. Navigating the winding paths felt like stepping into an adventure game, with new discoveries at every turn. The sense of wonder and excitement I felt was akin to being a child again, truly immersed in the magic of the mountain setting. The service at Longmen Pu Village is equally impressive. Prior to my arrival, I had connected with the customer service team on WeChat, and they were well-prepared and attentive to my needs. Upon check-in, I was welcomed with delectable local Chongqing specialties, a delightful introduction to the culinary delights that awaited me. The highlight of my stay, however, was the opportunity to enjoy the stunning sunsets from various vantage points around the resort, cigar in hand and fresh fruit nearby. These moments of peaceful contemplation, immersed in the beauty of the mountains, will be etched in my memory forever. Beyond the breathtaking views, the resort also offered engaging activities that allowed me to fully immerse myself in the local culture. I had the privilege of learning the art of potting plants and marveling at the impressive bonsai tree collection, a true treat for a plant enthusiast like myself. The calligraphy session at the on-site tea house was also a wonderful experience, providing a moment of tranquil meditation amidst the adventure. While I would recommend Longmen Pu Village to any traveler seeking a unique and authentic escape, I would advise international guests to have a basic understanding of the Chinese language or be prepared to utilize translation apps. This slight challenge, however, is well worth the reward of experiencing this remarkable resort. In conclusion, Longmen Pu Village is a true gem, a resort that has masterfully preserved the local charm and flavor of Chongqing's stunning mountain region. Whether you're seeking a serene retreat or an immersive cultural experience, this resort delivers an unforgettable journey that I wholeheartedly recommend.

GGenOhlsonA cosy family-friendly enchanted hideaway in the mountains with the clouds. The whole place seems to have been a long-time passion in creating the most charming and comfortable inn from conception to realisation with both the exterior and interior decorated in either a rustic country cottage or a European apartment style from the last century. We were so happy here and my child especially appreciated the room and all of its surroundings. Every nook and cranny of the place is excellently utiilised. From the dining room as well as the main outside eatery balcony, one has a beautiful view of the mountainside in all its greenery with butterflies flitting amongst flowers. Don't forget to check out the third story balconies and the library. Screen projector fittings are in place for a medium-sized conference. The place even has a couple of majiang table nooks should you want to play with friends. The surrounding forest environment of the inn is all sorts of paths and green terraces going off in different directions. There is a playpark for children with its own pedal-powered mini-roller coaster and other items for children to climb on. There is an off-site pond and ancient stone bridge nearby. One can take a short hike up the driveway and explore the diverging walking track paths. There's also an ecological technology exhibition centre not far up the road from the inn. A large portion of the clientele when we were there were day trip visitors in family and friend groups. Big tables as well as KTV facilities could be booked for the day. The food quality is fantastic and the portions generous. There are no nearby shops so all meals are taken in-house; the staff will consult you about when and what is on offer from the extensive menu. You can specify whether you'd want your food spicy or not when possible depending on the dish. The genuinely friendly and accomodating staff take such good care of you and step in whenever they feel you may need some assistance. My child had a bad cough at the time, and they were so kind bringing her hot drinks with honey and offering medicine they happened to have there. My Chinese is not good, but with a standard translation app, you're able to communicate what you need and the staff are so obliging to help. They genuinely do seem to be happy to be working there, and cudos and credit it to the owner for taking such good care of the staff that they in turn carry it over to their care for their guests. It was a pleasure to meet them and the owner.

DDaoyiFor my trip to Chongqing this time, I once again chose the hotel on Longmenhao Old Street. I discovered this gem about a year and a half ago during a business trip. Back then, I passed by 'Banshan' and it was still under renovation, but it quietly piqued my interest. This time, I finally got to stay there. It's exactly the民國 (Minguo/Republic of China) style I adore. The architecture is absolutely stunning; even the tops of the windows are carved, which I assume are original features of the building. Upon closer inspection, some parts of the decor are a bit rough, and the amenities aren't as comprehensive as other hotels. However, it offers great value for money. The hotel's housekeeper was incredibly enthusiastic and helped us carry our two very large suitcases in and out. The location is excellent. We were able to walk to see the New Year's Eve drone show. Xiahao Li itself has many places to explore. There's so much delicious food around that staying here for two days makes it easy to gain weight! 😂 Plus, the hotel has very cute cats, which is a bonus [chuckle]. And the hotel coffee is also very good.

SSongsongyaodujiaI highly recommend the Suchao Chenjing High-Rise River View Hotel. It's located right in the heart of the business district, making it super convenient for shopping, dining, and entertainment. The service was attentive and thoughtful, and my overall experience was excellent. The room was exceptionally clean, well-equipped, and smart-tech enabled. The high-rise river view was just the icing on the cake, and it offers fantastic value for money!

GGuest UserThe hotel is located right above the Gongtan ancient town and very conevenient to visit the beautiful town with delicous food and have 1 hour gallery cruise trip in the emerald river surrounded by painting like rock wall mountains and trees. The hotel was renovated lately, thus facilities are new, and we loved the interior of our room and the view through the window. The hotel service was excellent, as manager took us and picked up to the cruise trip or the town upon the request.

CCheechai LiewMy stay here these past few days was extremely satisfying! The hotel's location is superb, making it incredibly convenient to get to attractions, business districts, and transport hubs, saving a lot of commute time. The surrounding area has all the amenities you could need, with a wide variety of dining and shopping options, which was very handy. The room itself was clean and cozy, with complete and well-maintained facilities. The soundproofing was also good, ensuring a quiet resting environment. The overall experience far exceeded my expectations, and you could feel the thoughtful service in the details. It was a very pleasant and successful accommodation choice. I highly recommend it for both business trips and leisure travel, and I will definitely choose to stay here again next time!

KKelvinBooked this hotel for the loft room type which has only 1 unit. Note that there are only 14 rooms across 2 floors located in a commercial building. Seems like it is very common in cq to have such hotels which are occupying floors in a building. The room has a great view of Jiefangbei and you can see the monument from the room. Pls note that the location of the room is just next to the entrance which i didn't like (personal preference) but it didn't affect me in terms of noise. Smart system, tv projector The room is using a smart system which you can control through voice. However this proved to be a problem for me instead as everytime I returned and put in the key card, the same settings operate e.g. music automatically plays and the announcement starts and I have to ask it to stop playing the music. The lighting is also preset with hindered the brightness of the projector. Note that there is no tv, only a projector with iqiyi inbuilt so there are no tv channels and most of the shows require a subscription to play. I wasn't able to adjust the lights according to what I want. So if I wanted a very clear resolution, I had to turn off all lights. Bathroom The toilet seat was automatic with bidet. As it is automated, you have to press a button to open the seat cover everytime you want to use. If you use the disposable seat cover, it cannot detect you and halfway using the toilet, the seat keeps coming down to close as it closes automatically. The position of the handheld shower is also very low. I'm 1.68m tall which was the perfect height but anyone taller will hit the shower. One very important point to note is also that the hotel only uses disposable towels to my dismay. They do not have regular towels. If I had known I wouldn't have booked this hotel. I'm not sure if this is a common thing in cq. There are also no hooks in the bathroom and the sink is outside the bathroom. During my stay it rained a bit so the area just beside the bed had a pool of water which likely came from a leak in the building. For this room, the electronic curtains were also unable to cover the room totally due to the stairs going up to the bed. Aircon Due to the size of the room, I felt that the ac wasn't strong enough to cool the room totally. In conclusion, the hotel has a great location and good service but if I had known the above, I would hv chosen another regular hotel with tv, regular towels etc. I wanted to check out after 1 night but didn't as it was just simply too troublesome and my booking was non refundable.

MM348244****Traveling during off-peak season was such a great deal! We got a three-bedroom apartment, super spacious. It could easily fit six people, but there were only three of us, so we each had our own room and complete privacy. The rooms are smart, automatically cutting power when you leave. The location is right in the bustling city center; you step out and you're at Shibati and the snack street. It's only a three to four-minute walk from Jiaochangkou Station Exit 9, which is incredibly convenient. Walking to Jiefangbei takes about eight minutes. The shower pressure was also good. The only minor drawback was the poor soundproofing; we were woken up by noises from upstairs, but the issue was quickly resolved after we informed the housekeeper. Overall, it's highly recommended!

JJo TehThe property could benefit from some updates and maintenance. One of the queen bedrooms was converted from a balcony, making it extremely cold during winter. Additionally, the heater in one of the rooms next to the hall was not working, which made it very uncomfortable to sleep through the night. The bathroom in one of the rooms remained choked throughout our stay, and overall, the bathrooms were not thoroughly cleaned. The kitchen also lacked proper cleanliness, which was disappointing. On a positive note, the view from the hall was decent, but unfortunately, it wasn’t enough to make up for the shortcomings in comfort and cleanliness.

The B&B is in a great location, clean and hygienic, and the boss has a good service attitude. The three of us stayed in a twin room, one 1.8 meters and one 1.5 meters, which is very cost-effective. There is the Liberation Monument downstairs, and it is very convenient to walk to the surrounding areas for sightseeing.
