The hotel was fabulous in that it was clean, spacious, modern, and had a calm business vibe. It is set outside of the main Madrid attractions, which is nice for business travelers. If you are traveling to see the sites, you will need to take an Uber/ taxi, which is about 15-20 minutes per traffic and time of day. It's not bad, but not ideal if you want to walk out from your hotel and be in the action. Apart from location, the front desk staff are super friendly and helpful, the hotel has a modern vibe, and has some cool restaurants located around its vicinity. Im a huge fan of AC hotels now because of this beauty we stayed at in Madrid! Although its kinda far from the attractions, I'd still return and stay at this location again and refer it to future travelers!

This review is for the UNIQUE part of Lopesan Costa Bavaro. My wife and I spent 4 nights in May 2023. We had an amazing time during our stay that was nothing short of amazing. Our butler Victor was amazing and made sure no question went unanswered, no request was too much for him. We spent most of our time in the UNIQUE specific amenities (Restaurant/Bar/Beach/Pool) – the breakfast and lunch buffet very tremendous, the food was great and there was something for everyone. We especially enjoyed the fresh passionfruit at breakfast. The service at the beach was great, rarely did we not have a passionfruit margarita in our hands. The restaurants for dinner (We did the Steakhouse, the French restaurant, the UNIQUE only restaurant and the restaurant where UNIQUE members don’t have to pay extra to eat at) where all really good – the food was always very tasty, the presentation was appealing to the eye and service was friendly and fast. The room was clean, quiet and we always came back to a perfectly made room after our time at the beach. We are looking forward to our next stay!

We recently visited Eden Roc Cap Cana for the first time but it definitely won’t be our last! The resort and surrounding scenery were beautiful, our accommodations were great, the food was delicious but, most of all, the entire staff were outstanding!! From Ryan and the management staff, the restaurant hosts and servers, beach attendants, to the housekeeping staff and grounds keepers, everyone went out of their way to make us feel welcome and accommodate us in every way. It’s impossible to acknowledge everyone individually (mainly because we can’t remember all of their names!) but we must recognize Esther, our butler, who anticipated and took care of our every want/need and made our anniversary one we’ll never forget, Willy who always greeted us with his wonderful smile, taught us “Que lo que” and drove us safely back to the airport, and Warner who made our dinners at LaPalapa even more special. We’ve also recognized Ruth Noemi and Yirda as the best massage technicians ever, in our spa review! We stayed in a Luxury Pool Junior Suite which was perfect for our romantic 50th anniversary getaway. The golf cart that was included gave us the opportunity to check out the beautiful surroundings and even take an evening ride to view the amazing golf course. Our early morning rides to see sunrise over the water, our afternoons enjoying the beautiful beach and our special anniversary surprise at the Villa were the “icing on the cake” for this amazing vacation. We can’t wait to go back to see all our new friends at Eden Roc!!

Having read some of the other reviews, there was a bit of trepidation when we found out that our original hotel had been changed to Impressive Punta Cana. However our concerns were completely unfounded. This is a beautiful hotel in a gorgeous location. Unlike other hotels, this has tried to keep an authentic look and most roofs are thatched. Some reviews have mentioned that staff were rude but we never had any issues at all with any staff member - if fact quite the opposite. All the staff were friendly and went out of their way to help as much as they could, even teaching us some words in Spanish to make engaging in conversation easier, but we found that a simple ”Ola” and a smile goes along way. Most of the staff speak some English - enough to get by. Tipping is a big thing over there and money does talk. Obviously only tip if you want to, but we found that just a couple of dollars increased the level of service that we received - to the point where a regular waitress remembered our drinks order before we'd even sat down. The housekeepers/cleaning staff do a fantastic job and we had towels in the shape of swans and floral displays most days in our rooms. The rooms are basic, but really the only time you spend in there is to shower, change and sleep. Each room has large tv's and the beds are super comfy. The buffet is wide and varied, definitely something for everyone. We tried 2 of the ALa Carte restaurants and the Grill House was by far the best. Book as soon as you can as the reservations do get filled up. The entertainment team are brilliant and work so hard. Daytime activities are fun and the night time shows are amazing. They don't pester people to join in either. Despite us going over Oct half term, the hotel wasn't full. Sunbeds at the beach and around the pool were plentiful so there were no ”towel wars” at all, which I was dreading. The main pool is alittle dated and maybe could do with a freshen up in places but it doesn't affect swimming or enjoyment in the slightest. There is an onsite shop which sells pharmacy-type things if you find you need them. We chose not to upgrade to the Premium, mainly because of the extra expense. Aside from the slightly better rooms and a personal butler, there really didn't seen to be much difference. The Premium People still sat in the same buffet as us and ate the same food. In fact, the Premium area on the beach appeared crammed with beds instead of spaced out like the regulars. Like all the hotels in this region, they open up to local Dominicans each weekend. This allows the locals to have a holiday as the cost of a passport is so expensive. We had no problems with this. It did seem busier in the restaurants and at the bars but there was no trouble or issues at all. It's worth getting up and watching the sun rise on the beach - the most spectacular view I have ever seen. This was our 3rd visit to the Dominican Republic and it won't be our last. We would definitely come back to this

The hotel is big and super nice The beach was not top I understood that the period was not the best one. In term of foods super nice especially the idea of having dinner à la carte. That changes front thé buffet The animation team is cool and you can not get bored Highly recommend for couples or family

There are flamingos, good beer, and the female receptionist who checked me in was super friendly. There is a beautiful beach and seaside. There are singing and magic shows in the reception bar at night. Every female waiter I met was very good, warm and friendly. The male waiters ranged from very nice to unfriendly.

Ocean Blue is a medium size resort. Not small. Not huge like Iberostar. However it has lots of fine dining (5) onsite just like the huge ones. Their beach is perfect with lots of free cabana like shaded seating. Only surprise was our scuba shop was onsite but actual dive boat was 2 resorts down the beach at Iberostar. A 10 minute walk, no problem. This side of island a bit choppy for diving. Smoother on South side. Resort super clean, safe and friendly staff. More young families and older couples. No Spring Break teens! Highly recommend this resort for families.

Riu service is good. Hard working individuals. The first night the sheets looked worn. After tipping they were better quality and towels were softer. Riu does not provide washcloths. The food was good. Several restaurant options. Nightly entertainment was good. The grounds are immaculate. Literally on the beach. They need rain screen showers. Water pump shuts down at night.

Royalton Chic Punta Cana an Autograph Collection First impression On approaching the hotel, I didn’t get that wow factor to support the name Chic, which too me means stylish, fashionable and elegant. It was basic. It states that it is a 5* but it is not, the hotel requires a lot of work improvements to the swimming pool, broken tiles everywhere. The Diamond Club roof top pool was appalling chipped concrete stone stairs, tiles and decking broken with holes, old warn out furniture no ambiance, no chic no 5*. The Diamond Club beach side disgusting and should be closed it does nothing to signify you paying extra cost. Diamond to me signifies a ‘high level experience- above standard for first class service’. This hotel was given the name ‘swingers’ not by me but by a staff member. This hotel is known for their foam parties, but they play specific genre of music which entice females to express themselves as if they were at a carnival. I love foam parties when DJ encourages sing a long and fun, but this was not the case. This was more like a 18-30 club. Not an adult Chic Hotel. The room We had picked a Junior Suite but due to my disability had to stay on the ground floor. Not Chic, it is modern comfortable and clean. Good AC, cleaning service was great. Buffet The food was good, some days better than others. Like all holidays, food repetitive, sometimes due to the heat keeping them warm, items appeared over cooked. The only consolation to this is food was served hot. Reviews are correct, the temperature in the buffet room is intense and requires improving. It is totally un-acceptable to expect staff to work in these extreme heat conditions. Only on one occasion did I see a cockroach which I reported immediately. The next day the Buffet section was closed, I am hoping the comments worked. Staff Most staff are friendly, courteous, respectful and will go out their way to ensure that your stay is rememberable. We felt relaxed, welcomed and important. That is a gem that many hotels do not have. Bar staff Wonderful, creative, friendly, polite and happy. They worked collaboratively together producing some signature cocktails. They made the experience so pleasurable and memorable placing their individual spin on their creation of drinks. They remembered your name and greeted you well and remembered your choice of drinks. The two we remembered were Torres and Luis Miguel, but they were all so ‘Good’. Manager Angel, he over delivered, he went out of his way to make our stay pleasurable. He was seen in the restaurants at lunch always checking that we and others were happy. The only manager I saw ensuring the guest were happy. Any concerns we had, he would address and find a solution, every conversation was greeted with a smile. Professionalism was noted at all times with him. Personal concerns we had; he took the time out to find solutions as a manager these qualities are fundamental in retaining guest satisfaction. My family (2 adults and 7 yr old) had a wonderful time at this resort. Beach: Beautiful blue water with sand that wasn't rocky and rough on the feet! I didn't find many remnants of seaweed, so they did a great job of keeping it clean. Waterpark: We loved the lazy river and spent most of our time in it. The bigger slides that adults could ride were not visible from the main section and we did not see any directionals. Lifeguards kindly informed us of where to go for the larger slides. I recommend that you wear water shoes since this is a water park, but also the ground is really hot when you're not in the water. Entertainment: We enjoyed Snick Lounge. Bring cash to put into the machine so that you can play air hockey or billiards pool. Snick Lounge also has retro arcade games for free! We also checked the app to catch where character pop-ups would be to save some $$ and not do character breakfast (although I heard from another guest that the food was worth the $$ since they love lobster). Family Shows: The resort did a great job of putting on nightly shows to entertain families and let the children participate a little. Food: We pretty much ate all meals at Explorers Table (I think it was named something else before??). They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner buffet style. You can also get some items cooked to order at two of the stations there. BurgersPH was a fun experience. We enjoyed Dominican Night to experience local cuisine without having to leave the resort. Service: The staff at the resort were friendly and helpful; although we did run into one male server at the Explorers Table restaurant that wasn't too hospitable. Suite/Room: We booked a swim-up suite which left us disappointed due to the smell in the room and I found many mosquitos flying around our room every day (so they must not treat the outside area for mosquitos). Had I known before booking about the dengue virus (mosquitos transmit) that is rampant in Caribbean and Mexico, I would not have booked a swim-up suite. Other reviewers mention nausea and I wonder if they actually contracted dengue. Also, if you are family that likes to be around others and not secluded, don't splurge on a swim up...the infinity pool is much better and has a swim-up bar!
