One thing I absolutely disliked is that I was some minutes to late to empty the locker and they just put al my stuff (including money, wallet and smartphone) in a plastic bag at the reception. The only thing I missed is that they didn't throw it away. Was really pissed off by this.

This hostel wanted to double charge me after having paid in the app, which ruined a day of vacation because I left the hostel earlier than planned due to the inconvenience.

When I checked in, the owner kindly explained how to use the hostel. There is a free hair dryer in the bath, and there are about five of them, which is convenient. There is a locker room that you can use for free. The owner also kindly explains how to set the PIN code. The rooms have curtains to ensure privacy. You can hear noise, but if you use earplugs or earphones, it's not a problem. It is a little far from Amsterdam Central Station, but I think it's a good idea to plan to arrive early and check what time the train is. I left late and had trouble with the few trains. If you use the bus, I don't think you need to worry about this. Overall, it was a great stay.

A normal hostel, but when I wanted to take a shower, I found there was no towel. I asked the front desk where the towel was, but they asked for a rental fee of 50 USD. Oh my god, it's a rip-off.

I booked this quickly because I wanted to sleep for a few hours. It was around 10 in the morning when I got there. I work at night and had to work in the area again around 5 p.m. That's why I arrived earlier. I was immediately informed in a very unfriendly manner that I was early and that I could not return until 3:00 PM. No solution was offered. I canceled it immediately, but got nothing back. I booked at another hotel where I could check in right away. Especially the attitude of the 2 employees was very rude. It is not without reason that it is said that cheap is a bad buy. Never there again...

Cozy hostel employee nice place, nice beds. Washing facilities very clean. Recommended for everyone and super affordable.

Bus to the center at the door, impeccable service, only negative point are the bathrooms

ABSOLUTELY AWFUL! Due to a glitch in their confusing and difficult to navigate website I mistakenly booked a different location of hostel to my friend. I am a solo female traveller and when I called to ask if I can amend it (I offered to pay the difference or any fees to amend) as I now was staying in a completely separate hostel to my friend, I was met with such a rude employee who said even if I booked the other hostel and paid for that in full I would still have to pay for the first one AND and extra cancellation fee. I am a young female traveller going away for the first time and a student and I am left feeling shaken and terrified to stay in Amsterdam. This place is the most unhelpful hostel I have ever stayed in and clearly don’t care about the safety of young women, only getting money. Do not support these people.

Excellent place to stay! Nice staff. Brendan at the reception was kind and welcoming. Pods were nice and clean. All the amenities were kept nice and tidy. Bus stop is right in front of the hostel. Very well connected to Amsterdam downtown. Overall, great place to stay.

The hostel was clean and the beds are comfy. The staff is super friendly, receptive, and helpful. Shout-out to Brenan, Salvatore, and Francesco, who helped me immensely after I had an ankle sprain while walking in Amsterdam. It eas my first ever experience at a hostel and I do not regret it at all. Thank you for everything!

Such comfy and private beds! I felt very safe and secure for my first solo trip overseas. Flor was very helpful and friendly, as were all of the hostel staff! Purmerend is a beautiful and peaceful town, I highly recommend staying here and branching out to the nearby countryside attractions by foot, bike or train.

Hanna and Franz have warmly welcomed me, there are a few to say. great service, the place is pleasant, the people are nice and all is well-cleaned. had a good experience, I'll be back soon ;) Franz helped me a lot with more information about a random place that I was looking for. Patrick, an Italian guy super available and cheerful.

It was a wonderful home away from home at City Trip Hostels, Purmerend. Very friendly staff, neat and peaciful environment. It is convenient, with the buses stopping directly opposite the hostels and the shops are within a walking distance. Thanks to Brenda, for she even convinced me to stay for two more nights....I will definitely come back again, and would recommend city trippers/ travelers to use City Trip Hostels for their exceptional prices, it is value for money.
