Except that there is no air conditioning and the restaurant is not delicious, the rest are very good. The environment is first-rate, by the river. Cruise ship terminal. The ancient town is a short walk away and worth visiting. The room is relatively large, with bottled water and porcelain glass glasses, as well as a kettle, instant coffee. Very worth staying for a few days in a hotel, rare in Germany.

The hotel pictures display a stunning old German building with grand gardens - this is true, but it’s not where your room is. Your room is located to the rear of the hotel in a travel inn style building The rooms are clean, comfortable but not well equipped (poor washing supplements, no fridge in room, no kettle etc) - not really 4* and that’s rated against German Standards The main reason for such a poor rate is the staff service. For such a well graded hotel I would expect service. Instead we were met with rudeness and impolite service with the staff taking more time to smoke than to provide any service - including offering anything before the kitchen closed which resulted in no dessert options for a family event Breakfast was of a good standard - although the roof was leaking badly - despite 30 degree weather (confusing) Wouldn’t stay here - there are better in Wesel for a similar price and better location

I felt welcome here, also with dog! I have eaten here 2 times super, the portions are RUIM enough. My room was in the new building part and was clean and well-cared! A good bed, easy to operate TV, delicious shower, refrigerator. The only.. no airco. Window could be open far enough🙂 Have experienced the operation as very friendly and helpful. All was to wish, the room, staff very friendly and helpful, breakfast very extensive. Good starting point for the surrounding villages. Unfortunately there is no dinner in the hotel. If you need the car to get in a place.
