I think its worth noting i have been to pefkos 20+ times and love the resort and stopped here 3 times previously. The time was awful, to the point we were happy to be going home. We booked a one bed apartment. The beds are very dated compared to the three over hotels in its range (Matina, Pefkos Beach and Pefki Island). The mattresses were solid the pillows were either non existent or solid. The kids shared a bed with ants with no help from the hotel staff. We were left without toilet roll. We found some of the male staff rude towards my wife and kids, the guys on the bars were lovely, non of the cleaners were greek, and the cleaning was poor. The pool wasn't cleaned like the other hotels you could not see the floor most day and on days (2 times out of 12) the chemicals burnt your eyes. The bar was good on prices very reasonable. The overall hotel experience for £2k through jet2holidays was very poor. These rooms are more two star. The €160 aircon units were both broken and didn’t operate as should. Jet2holidays and pefkos as a resort were brilliant.

Good hotel. Upon arrival, Staff at reception very kind and helpful. Passport is taken until tourist tax is paid the next day. Given the keys to my room which was 802. Short walk from the reception, but steep steps to block 6&8 to bare this in mind. Room was clean and tidy. Fresh bedding and towels. Soap and shampoo provided in the bathroom. Balcony had no view, which I wasn’t too bothered about as I didn’t spend much time in the room. However, my balcony was overrun by ants. Cleaners tried their best to solve this problem, I can imagine this is due to the heat as it was over 38’C. Room does have aircon but you do have to pay extra. No tv in the room. Double bed, comfy and pillows were soft and plump. Breakfast- Breakfast is smaller than most hotels, however plenty to choose from such as bacon, eggs, sausages, toast with Jam, honey, lurpack. Fresh orange juice which comes from local orange trees. Breakfast is on until 10.30am. Staff are lovely. Couldn’t do enough for me. Geovanni ( I believe this was his name) is absolutely fantastic. Told me all about the history of the Greek islands. Receptionist was lovely. Bar- Bar is fully stocked with local beers and spirits. Fridge also has water, Pepsi, Dr Pepper all that good stuff priced at around €0.50-€2.50. Happy hour between 4&8. Plenty cocktails to choose from too! Snack menu- lots of choice, Gyros, toasties, chips etc. Reasonable price and tasty. Pool- Pool open from 8am-8pm. Plenty sun loungers and English music playing round the pool. Floaties aloud. Location is fab. Shops, restaurants and bars within 1 minute walk from the hotel. Beach 5 minute walk down the hill. Check out is 11am but can use the pool etc until pick up time. Also have a shower room you can use to freshen up. Overall fantastic experience for my first solo trip abroad, and cannot wait to be back! Thankyou Stella for a fabulous holiday.

We are currently still here at Stella and we can’t fault it at all. We arrived at 2am and instantly felt welcomed and at home. Rooms are clean and have everything you require , there is an additional cost for air conditioning but this is the same in all hotels here, and it’s not as expensive as some.the cot that was provided was ready and waiting and again clean , which has not been the case in previous hotels. We spent our first day round the pool area, plenty of loungers, lovely family feel and great selection of drinks and food in the bar. Staff have been nothing but excellent and really do welcome you, we have not stopped laughing since we arrived. Lovely sea views, central location. Seriously can’t fault it. Dreading leaving but also looking forward to coming back in October.

Where do I start? I usually check out reviews first but on this occasion I didn't as I've known friends stay here in the past and thought nothing of it. On arrival my greeting was ok but nothing worth shouting about. I eventually got to my room with a struggle up the steps with my case. Once I entered my room I was disappointed to see how basic and tired it was. Ok, it's not the end of the world but no TV which I just like to have as background noise whilst being in my room. The shower head wouldn't stay up, when I first tried to use it it flew off and flooded the place! The sunbeds are terrible and very old and stained. Also ants and flies are everywhere which was very annoying. The man on reception was very rude and told me to pay my room tax straight away which made me feel very uncomfortable. I explained to him I would be back later with it and when I did he gave me half a grin! There were nights where people were coming back to their rooms at ridiculous hours, apparently the bar was open into silly o'clock! One night a row broke out and the language was shocking. I told the man on reception and said that as there were children in the vicinity this was not acceptable, he didn't seem bothered. The one person who I thought was lovely and worked very hard was the cleaner, she was always pleasant and smiling, this is the reason I've given this a 2:and not a 1. I did meet some lovely people which helped, especially when you're on your own. All I say is AVOID!! it maybe a reasonably priced holiday but that speaks volumes!

First impressions were fair , arrived very late on the 8th October , I had requested before arrival a room if possible which was easily accessible due to my mobility issues , was assigned a room in block 2 which to be fair is not two far from reception but still had three different flights of stairs , I asked on arrival and explained I had made contact in advance, they didn't appear to know anything about it . The barman who works there during the day offered to to take my case to my room which was very nice of him. My room was ok to be fair until I noticed the ants, I had read this on reviews after I had booked and so had brought ant deterrent which I put down and it seemed to work so I was happy enough and glad to get to bed , unfortunately I was unable to get to sleep due to screaming kids and parents which where in block 3 this was now nearly 3am not a great start but remained positive and put it down to a one off. This continued and after two days of this I spoke to reception , she said its ok they are changing room tomorrow but I will speak to them about the noise, she didn't seem to really be that interested or understanding what I was saying , I tried to explain to the barman who said well kids get excited don't they, I came away from this interaction apologising as I was made to feel that I was complaining for no reason and feeling I was in the wrong and didn't want to upset anybody. The next morning at breakfast he said to another couple , " some people come on holiday to have a good time and some people come to complain" I felt this was directed towards myself. They didn't move room and by the noise they didn't speak to them either , by the pool was just as bad so spent my time at other places, until they left. The room unable to shower as it kept flying off the holder so chose baths instead , had to asked for my sheets to be changed , would like to say though the cleaner was very nice and seemed to have too much to do was knocking on my door as she needed to get on , never smelt any cleaning products , was a quick whip round and bins emptied , sink not cleaned the whole time I was there 9 nights so cleaned it myself , leaking toilet. Onto breakfast my advice don't bother meagre offerings the least they could get away with putting out they did , couple of occasions there was one apple sliced up that was the fresh fruit offering, had to ask for items to be topped up . coffee not always hot and fruit juice was well I don't know what it was , this area was not clean bowls with butter and condiments in not washed and was dirty. Only half of the four slices toaster worked the whole presentation said we could not care less. The staff seemed to be dis engaged , man on reception stand offish tried to make a conversation with him not interested they didn't care if you was alright having a nice time or not , don't feel any of them know what hospitality is and came as quite a shock as I have been travelling to Greece for 30 years and nev

High on a hill and therefore requiring a hire car or motorized bike, this is a 'tired' hotel waiting to be upgraded after the season ends. The staff do their best to repair faults as they arise, but our experience of a faulty toilet, no cooking facilities and a very dangerous kettle was dire.

The accommodation is basic and dated so I can only assume it's 3* based on it having a pool, bar and it's own supermarket. Overall though I found it to be clean and comfortable. All the kitchen appliances worked fine. Shower is an over-the-bath job. Hairdryer provided was great. Didn't use the AC so can't comment on that - my apartment was at the back (312) and in the shade all day. I was also on a budget and you have to pay for 2 units in a 1-bed apartment so it was a no for me. There were ants in the apartment (coming in through a light switch in the kitchen) but I didn't find them that much of a problem - if you don't leave food out and clean up after yourself then you don't get so many. The outside areas and bins could do with being kept a bit cleaner. Quite a few umbrellas around the pool were broken but will hopefully be replaced for the new season. The location is great - very central.

I have recently stayed here for a week with 2 of my sons. Hotel is in a fabulous location, very central to bars/restaurants/pools/beaches. We stayed in a 1 bes apartment which was very spacious, plenty of storage, bath with shower over, lots of hot water, gorgeous view from balcony. Effective air conditioning. There are lots of ants around pool but think this is due to the very dry summer, didn't cause a problem for us. Good prices for drinks at the bar and friendly staff.

Just got back from a 8 night holiday with my wife and 2 young children . We asked for a low level room due to having a 2 year old and a 6 year old we was put on the top floor of the highest block which didn’t help. We asked to be changed but was told no! Both patio doors to the balcony don’t latch so had to put furniture in the way so the kids couldn’t get out. The rooms look like they haven’t been updated since the mid 90’s and are very basic, the beds was like rock with the thinnest of pillows, We was charged for 2 aircon units which I thought was wrong as we didn’t pick the rooms ourselves but didn’t have a choice t but then the air on wasn’t even that great…. The kitchen area was not nice, we used the kettle one day and it didn’t switch off just kept on boiling which could have been dangerous. The key system is a very dated model so you can only have the electric on when your actually in the rooms, but would of been nice to have another key just to be able to come back to your room and it not being like an oven. As the air con was not great it took a good hour to even get the rooms cool. If you fancy a drink in an evening it’s a no go as there’s only a hand full of chairs and the loungers are very dated, Don’t think the rooms was cleaned very often, the cleaner just went in and made a bed sheet back up The hotel is in a great location but it needs to be brought into the 21st century with some money being spent on it! If it did it would be a great hotel
