Great, newly renovated. It's a nice weekend in the mountains. The breakfast buffet was also very good. Except for the poor sound insulation, everything else is perfect. There are cute cats and the kids are very happy

Slippers are as shown in the picture, there are mildew spots on the top, there is no way to take a bath, you can ask for plastic slippers, borrowed from the inn next door, the air conditioner is directly above the bed, and it blows directly when sleeping, which is very uncomfortable. Looking at other evaluations, the environment is very good, and this room is actually connected. In fact, all the rooms are connected together. It is a motel with flowers outside the room. What about the good inn? I have never lived in such a crowded inn! The big steps at the door look very beautiful. I read other evaluations and said that I can help with luggage, but there are two girls at the front desk. Is it really embarrassing to let them help carry luggage? Can you say that the marketing is very good, please don't continue next time.

Guest UserThe location is fantastic! It’s a remote hotel not far from the Fuzhi Rice Terraces. It’s a great place for the summer time when you want to relax by the pool and have a walk amongst the fields. They had fireworks which was a lovely touch. I maybe go back. However, the place is very dirty and is in need of a deep clean. There was a dirty plate in our room, the door on the inside of our bathroom is black at the bottom, the pool needs a clean and the tiles need fixing, the white curtains in the dining area are old and need replacing, there is dust in the corners or the windows as you eat. This place is great but it could be SO much better with a deep clean every month. There are different members of staff and the man on the last day was much more attentive than the first day. Instead of being on the phone, those men could be cleaning and maintaining the appearance of the place. It’s too expensive for what you get.

MinipangNestled in a thousand-year-old village at the foot of Kuaiji Mountain, by the Yu River, Shaoxing Dayu Kaiyuan Guantang's two-bedroom garden-view family villa brings the poetic charm of Jiangnan waterside life right into your vacation. ✨
The entire villa is artfully arranged according to the ancient village's layout, with white walls, dark gray tiles, and upturned eaves. The wooden beams and pillars still retain the raw, textural warmth of the old village. The first floor features a bright living room connected to a small courtyard. The courtyard, paved with flagstones in the corner, has clumps of bamboo and banana plants. You can brew a pot of Shaoxing Longjing tea and comfortably relax all afternoon. The breeze blows through, carrying the damp scent of grass and trees, slowing down even your breathing.
Following the wooden stairs, the second floor quietly holds two independent bedrooms, each with its own private bathroom. The solid wood furniture, paired with New Chinese soft furnishings, creates an antique charm without sacrificing modern comfort, ensuring everyone in the family enjoys their stay.
The most captivating moment is when you open the window – nearby, you see the lush green of various courtyards, and looking up, you can gaze upon the verdant peaks of Kuaiji Mountain. Morning mist drifts over the dark mountain ridges, and in the evening, returning birds flutter their wings past the treetops. Even the light and shadow carry the unique softness of Jiangnan. After nightfall, the ancient village becomes especially tranquil, with only the low hum of insects circling the window frames. Completely removed from the city's hustle and bustle, you sleep exceptionally soundly. Breakfast was plentiful; the fermented bean curd was simply divine!

DinglinglingStaying for the second time, I still like the retro-style homestay. In winter, the air conditioner and electric blanket are warm. I sleep well all night. The farmer’s dishes made by the boss are still delicious. We arrived at 7 o’clock in the evening. The boss just made his own dried plum shrimp and let us eat first, and there are aromatherapy dumplings.

We stayed at this resort for a two-night, three-day trip, and while the building and location were visually impressive, our overall experience fell short of expectations, especially for international travelers.
First, the golf course was not well-maintained and did not resemble the pristine images shown online. Additionally, while the archery court was fine, it lacked proper safety protections, making it a concern for families traveling with young children.
Despite being branded as an Italian resort, there was no functioning Italian restaurant during our stay, which was quite disappointing. Even though the breakfast was really good, the food options for lunch and dinner were very limited, especially for non-Chinese guests. As visitors from Nepal, we found it difficult to enjoy the meals, and one member of our group who is vegetarian struggled even more to find suitable food options. There were no alternative dining options nearby, so if you don’t bring snacks or food with you, your choices are extremely restricted.
Another challenge was the language barrier. Only one staff member could speak basic English, which made communication quite difficult at times.
While the venue might be suitable for events like weddings or photoshoots due to its scenic appearance, it’s not ideal for a relaxing getaway unless you come with your own activities planned. Without that, there isn’t much to do onsite, and the lack of entertainment, food variety, and language support made the experience feel isolating.
Overall, this resort has potential, especially in terms of architecture and ambiance, but it still needs significant improvements in service, food, and international accessibility to truly be welcoming for global guests.

Guest UserBeautifully located about 1.7km from city center at a quiet residential area which is very peaceful and serene next to a river. It's easily access by online taxi booking.
We love the awards winning Southen Song Dynasty design of the property , however we noticed that the management didn't really put in efforts to upkeep the place.
We stayed in the garden room on the ground floor which we have access to the Riverside garden. It's a shame that the garden are not maintained and the furniture in the garden are not clean to tho use.
I'm sorry to say that staffs attitude are pretty standard or below, not warm nor cold , didn't make the guests feel welcomed.

climber1978Experience a great stay! Maybe it's not wild luxury in the traditional sense, but there are a few things that far exceed expectations: 1) Awesome location and environment. This place is just a hotel, which was renovated based on an ancient village, so it's very comfortable and quiet. 2) The house made of wood and bricks feels like it can breathe on its own. It’s not cold or stuffy without turning on the air conditioner in winter. The quality of sleep at night is excellent! Our group all got a high-quality sleep here, which made my cold better😄; 3) Authentic rural life experience: We came on the third day of the new year, and the hotel arranged to make rice cakes in the morning and fried peanuts in the afternoon , Fireworks are set off on the bonfire at night, and breakfast and dinner are the highest quality of farm food😆; 4) The hotel's service staff are very hospitable and attentive. Shangshitang is very suitable to relax yourself, get some good sleep, and experience high-quality rural life!

Qulvxingya~The hotel is halfway up Tianmu Mountain. It takes about half an hour for us to take the bus from the Tianmu Mountain Visitor Center to the big lawn. The hotel guy was very enthusiastic and patient. He picked us up and took photos for us. It takes about 10 minutes to walk to the hotel. The hotel is in a quiet location with a stream and bamboos next to it. The food cooked by the uncle is very delicious. When it was served, I didn't have time to take a photo with my phone so there was no evidence. It's a CD anyway. A very happy journey~
