The Tale of Water Bamboo Residence
There is a guest house in Guangling, the water bamboo residence, and the small Qinhuai. Entering the garden, purple bamboo, gold inlaid jade bamboo swaying, chicken claw machinery, golden cinnamon, privet, begonia stand one after another. The rockery is wrong, the pond and marsh are curved, the clear spring flows, the brocade scales swim, and the "Fengwan Pavilion" is winged, quiet and resting.
The house has a double bed room, a family room, a bathtub room, the whole house is intelligent, and pets are accommodated. It is advisable to go to the family, gather in the unit, and visit the tourists, and the people who come and go seem to be in the paradise and forget to return.
"The front desk lady was absolutely wonderful and incredibly thoughtful. When we were about to leave, we stored our luggage at the front desk and waited, and it was really cold 🥶. She thoughtfully turned on the heater for us, which was just amazing. She was also very lovely! The hotel is in the city center, so you can walk to all the food streets, and transportation is convenient. Most importantly, it offers great value for money. The room was super clean and nice, very spacious, and the smart home features were also very convenient. All in all, it was absolutely fantastic! Booking this hotel for New Year's Eve in Yangzhou was incredibly satisfying!!!"

GGuest UserI recommended this hotel to my aunt, and it's truly fantastic, a real gem worth saving. Here's why I recommend it: 1. The late Qing Dynasty courtyard, pavilions, and towers are very Yangzhou-esque, a feast for the eyes, and incredibly comfortable to stay in. 2. The service is warm and attentive. They even gave us the popular Guangling Osmanthus Yogurt, which was delicious. The staff would come a long way to guide us, help with luggage, and always greeted us warmly, making us feel right at home. 3. The location is superb. You can take a bus anywhere. From Yangzhou Dong Station, it's right by the hotel entrance – a seamless and very convenient connection. It's just two stops on bus Z6. 4. Just a short walk away is Yechun Teahouse, where we enjoyed an authentic Yangzhou breakfast. After dinner on Dongguan Street, we walked through Caiyi Street and strolled along the Little Qinhuai River back to the hotel. It was quiet and pleasant, letting us truly experience the 'Yangzhou Slow' lifestyle! 5. The room facilities are complete, and there's even a massage chair. After a shower in the evening, lying down for a massage to relieve fatigue while watching TV was incredibly refreshing! All in all, I really love and recommend this hotel. GGuest UserThe hotel is located right by the canal, which has scenic belts and parks on both sides (I noticed the hotel was on the boat tour route when I took a cruise at night). If you're not in a rush, it's lovely to take a stroll along the riverside. From the hotel, cross a bridge and walk straight ahead to He Garden, then further on to Pishi Street. Beyond Pishi Street are the Dongguan Ferry Terminal and Dongguan Street. In short, it's incredibly convenient to reach all these attractions on foot.
Though it's called a hotel, it feels more like a B&B. It's a charming three-story building, very clean and well-maintained. The owner has excellent taste and puts a lot of thought into everything. Both the owner and staff are exceptionally friendly, always greeting guests and proactively asking if anything is needed, without being overbearing. Complimentary tea, drinks, and fruit are provided, all of high quality and in ample supply. The service is truly impeccable.
The room was meticulously cleaned, and all the bathroom amenities were quite high-end. They even thoughtfully provided a complimentary set of brand-name facial wash, skincare products, and body lotion. There was also a generous supply of toilet paper.
It’s been a long time since I stayed in such a comfortable and reassuring place; it truly exceeded my expectations. I will definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit to Yangzhou. I didn't take many photos, just one of the fragrant flowers in the lobby. I've included two photos of He Garden just to add a few more.

GGuest UserThe environment is elegant, quiet, and surrounded by lush trees, lawns, and a river. The location is superb, very close to the city center and Slender West Lake. The in-house dining is top-notch; the Quyuan morning tea lives up to its reputation, and the Ju restaurant's cooking is excellent. Building 8 has the most central location, Building 18 is very new and refined, and Building 11 offers great value for money, even including hot springs and a travel photoshoot. The family rooms are also quite good.

There are many other malls nearby, making dining and shopping incredibly convenient. It's also easy to get to all the major attractions. The hotel facilities are excellent, and the service is superb – they're always ready to help. Great value for money; I'll definitely stay here again on my next visit to Yangzhou.

AAnonymous UserThe best service among the homestays I have ever stayed in. From the check-in, I confirmed the check-in staff, and heard that there was a baby and arranged a room that was not close to the fire passage and elevator. After arriving, everyone was very good and enthusiastic, and also sent the baby a good quality doll. There was also an episode in the middle, and suddenly my aunt came, and a young lady of the staff gave me a pack of her sanitary napkins. The sanitation of the room is quite clean and tidy. Although the location of the hotel is a bit difficult to find, the surrounding area is full of scenic spots. It is more convenient to get in and out. Pishi Street and Guangling have salts that can be reached on foot. All in all, it is a homestay worth staying in. If you want to experience the service at home, you can try it~

JJiaoluodedunjueLet's start with the downsides: Since the family room can accommodate three adults, there should be three sets of towels, bath towels, tooth mugs, drinking glasses, and coffee cups, not just two. Even children or teenagers need their own bath towel and tooth mug. Also, the curtain button was sometimes a bit unresponsive.
Now for the positives:
1. The location is excellent, making it convenient to get anywhere. You can walk to the South Gate of Slender West Lake, and there are plenty of restaurants nearby.
2. The breakfast was good; while not exceptionally lavish, it had everything you'd expect. The coffee came from a machine and tasted great.
3. The terraces on four of the floors are a major highlight! Breakfast is on the 11th floor (top floor), and on a nice day, you can dine on the terrace, enjoying the lush forest view and a distant glimpse of the Qiling Pagoda while being shielded from the sun – a fantastic experience. You can also enjoy the night view in the evening.
4. The hairdryer is a Dyson, and in the lobby downstairs, there's a coffee machine, tea, hot water, and bottled water available.

MManamaoThe hotel is conveniently located near Dongguan Street, right next to Ge Garden, making it easy to access transport and local amenities. The rooms are housed in a two-story wooden building, encircling a charming courtyard with a miniature rock garden. While the rooms themselves are clean, the bathroom is a bit on the small side. The service was incredibly thoughtful; staff even helped us with laundry. The owner was exceptionally hospitable and warm; he not only used an electric cart to assist with our luggage but also gave us a ride to a nearby place for a local morning tea. We noticed the diamond-patterned door didn't block out much light, but when we mentioned it to the owner, he immediately took care of it. He also generously shared recommendations for many authentic Yangzhou restaurants favored by locals, helping us avoid any tourist traps.

GGuest UserThe place is beautiful. The rooms/cottages of the hotel are spread around a nice area. There is a vegetable garden and kids could feed the goats and rabbit. My kids loved the hotel and the room. Front desk gave us kids slippers and toothbrushes and a bag full of treats and snacks for the kids. Beds were very comfortable and the family room was beautiful with a balcony looking to the canal. Black swans swimming in there. The private outside hot bathtub was cool. They gave us some activity tickets (kids cookies baking, two free coffee cups and free entrance to the park beside), sadly we couldn’t use them, because we came noon and went to visit a different area , then left the next day after breakfast. The outside hotel surroundings are nice and peaceful. The food was great! Breakfast buffet is delicious. I would recommend it. There was a staff speaking English, but was not necessary for us. The service is very good and friendly…I’ll return.

GGeishenghuobigeyeyeI chose this hotel purely for its excellent location! If you're visiting Yangzhou, I highly recommend staying at the Courtyard by Marriott Yangzhou. The location is fantastic – you can walk to Slender West Lake in about 15-20 minutes, and right across the street is MixC, which is super convenient for dining, entertainment, and shopping. The room wasn't particularly large, and the facilities felt a bit dated and not very well-maintained. The water pressure was good, though, so showering was quite comfortable. The central air conditioning, however, was a major letdown. It was stiflingly hot, and they wouldn't turn on the AC, not even the fan! It was 19 degrees Celsius outside, but the room was a scorching 27 degrees Celsius. On the brighter side, the foot massage on B1 was pretty good, but the dim sum for breakfast on the second floor was just average.
