Find the Best Romantic Hotels Dublin

The rooms were spacious and thoughtfully designed. Bed was exceptionally comfortable. Netspesso machine was perfect. The saline indoor pool and spa were amazing. This hotel was luxury all the way. Breakfast buffet offered plentiful and healthy choices. Conveniently located int he heart of the grand Canal area. Brian and Benjy from the concierge staff were so helpful and knowledgable.

Well where do I start?… arriving early to the hotel we had expected to wait sometime before being able to go to our room. Dylan kindly said the room would be ready in 10 minutes, so we went to the bar, had a drink and then when the room was ready Dylan came back over to let us know. We then met Ana, Giannina and Adrian who really could not have done any more to make the check in process any easier, building our excitement all the time! We were lucky enough to stay in one of the Suites and there are no words, the room was spotless, beautiful and probably the best location we could have wished for. Thank you for making the experience so wonderful and a special mention to Dylan, Ana, Adrian and Giannina.

The bedding in the room is more comfortable, and the overall price/performance ratio is good for the hotel in the city center. But the hotel's early breakfast is very general, especially the French toast waffles, which are the most unpalatable. Although it includes two parts of buffet and ordering, there are very few types of buffet.

There is no commercial facilities around the hotel, but there is a golf course nearby. There is a park about 500 meters away. The environment is beautiful, comfortable, pleasant and very quiet. The hotel breakfast is very rich and the coffee tastes good. The gym is well-equipped and the swimming pool is clean. The room is clean and tidy, with bottled water. The front desk service attitude is good, and the restaurant service is warm, thoughtful and meticulous. I will definitely stay here next time.

Booked 3 nights at Clayton Ballsbridge during the Dublin horseshow and had great stay. The hotel is an impressive building with superb grounds in a perfect location for RDS/Aviva and only a short distance to city centre and temple bar. There is ample car-parking on-site. Our room was spotless, spacious and well equipped. The bar/dining area is large and functional and despite being busy during horseshow week there were plenty of staff on hand limiting waits. Food and drink were first rate and the live music/positive atmosphere enhanced our stay. Reservation staff were very helpful via email in advance of our visit and special thanks to one of the management I think, Simon who was especially supportive. A member of our group had a disability but their needs were well catered for. Have already booked a follow up stay and looking forward to returning.

From reading others' reviews and comparing those with my experience, I think that if you get a good room you'll be fine, but if you don't, it's mediocre at best. From what I could ascertain from the diagram on the door depicting the layout of the floor, my room was the smallest one on the floor. It was fine for me because I was traveling alone but would have been very crowded and the bed way too small if my husband had been with me. It was very clean--the bathroom was literally sparkling. My biggest issue was how hot it was. It was only early May, but the room was overly warm and stuffy. The ceiling fan helped a lot but was very, very noisy. I had to open the window to let in some cool air (no air-conditioning, at least that I could find), which made it just cool enough to be comfortable but very loud. Trams come through seemingly about every ten minutes until very late in the night, and the noise from the people coming from the bars is loud. I had earplugs with me so I wore those, but even then I had to choose between trying to sleep with the noise or closing the window and being way too hot to sleep. Even with the window open I was too warm and would have liked to have slept with only a bedsheet, but unfortunately there wasn't one, only a duvet, which would have been nice and cozy on a cold night but was way too thick on such a warm one. But it was either that or nothing at all. The bed and pillows were comfortable enough, but due to the noise and the heat I did NOT sleep well. I do tend to be hot when others are not, though, so many people people were probably perfectly comfortable. I would think that the heat would be quite bad in summer, though. The people who work here were extremely nice and helpful, and the location was fantastic. So I guess there's a tradeoff of location for noise; being so close to all the ”action” means it's going to be louder. And the price was not bad for the prime location where you could walk to so much. However, this hotel (my room, anyway) faces the Temple Bar area, where the ”action” goes on into the wee hours of the morning. There are other hotels just as well-located but near areas that get quieter much earlier. These are pricier, of course. The hotel was not bad and I was here for only one night so I don't regret choosing it, but if I were back in Dublin again I'd pay more for a quieter location.
