Hotel Pace Helvezia Reviews

The hotel breakfast service was good, and the coffee was especially delicious. I wish there was a little more improvement in terms of facilities, such as low water pressure in the bathroom.

Have stayed there many times. The hotel is in a great location. Most of the major attractions are within walking distance. There are plenty of restaurants close by and the staff at the hotel are very friendly and helpful. The views from the roof terrace are excellent.

We loved this hotel. The location was excellent, every staff member was kind and friendly, it was very clean and the breakfast was an added bonus. The a/c in the room was very good, which was appreciated. The beds were a little too firm for our liking, but overall the hotel was very good.

The location is very convenient, next to the Pillar of Truth. It's a bit old, but it has everything you need. If there are many people, take a taxi to the Vatican for 12 Euros. Better and safer than taking the subway. There are really many thieves. The bag on the back was opened twice in 10 minutes on the road.

Terrible, the first night there was only the person at the reception and there was no one who could help me with the air conditioning, they told me that there was nothing they could do, I asked several times for toilet soap and they couldn't give me it in 3 days, the hotel was very old and lacking maintenance. The breakfast staff very friendly. They shouldn't have that hotel on their page.

The location was good. The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel was nice but like most hotels in Rome, it could use some updating. Our room was on the 6th floor and had a nice balcony with a small table and chairs. The balcony was a nice feature, but the rooftop patio is above the 6th floor rooms and guests must use the 6th floor to get to the rooftop. Guests sliding the tables and chairs was very loud at all hours of the day & night. The view from up there is nice though and it’s a nice place to sit with a beverage. If you are a light sleeper, I wouldn’t recommend a room with a balcony. I used ear plugs and was happy to have a balcony. The breakfast was a nice bonus as well.

The beds were miserable. The breakfast ok. The hotel has a roof terrace which they do little of. No serving. Reception not interested in answering questions

Wonderful stay and fabulous breakfast! The Pace Helvezia was an easy walk from the bus stop from the train station, and close to the must sees in Roma. Our room was on the street side, which was bustling until 2am or so, but we were able to close the window and still be comfortable in the room (April). The (included) breakfast was fantastic and I was impressed at how hard Francesca worked every morning (we stayed three days.) All of the front desk staff were very helpful and we had a wonderful stay in Rome!

My stay was super pleasant. The guys at the reception are great. The hotel has the classic old-fashioned style, but you can easily see it in the photos. The breakfast nothing special, in fact during my second day of stay I preferred to have it outside. A couple of things are missing in the room, such as slippers and a powerful hair dryer. The cleaning is not excellent, but the view from the panoramic terrace is worth all the money spent. Very central location, right from the terrace you can admire the altar of the homeland. Despite everything I would go back!

Walking distance to alot of things. Other than that, very old hotel with outdated appliances. In need of MAJOR renovations. Very bad wifi in room. Tea kettle was replaced by another dirty one. Room safe did not work. Toilet and urinal set up makes no sense- especially if you are a tall person. Avoid if you can.

Outstanding service and hospitality

The hotel is very well located, the staff were warm and eager to assist. I lost a night due to flight cancellation. This information was shared with the hotel and absolutely no empathy. Be sure not to book non-refundable with this hotel. Breakfast was ok but in a tiny room with insufficient seating. It's the perfect location to walk around Rome city center, it is not 4stars.

Overall, the property and staff was quite nice and lovely. However, our room had an issue with a running toilet. It was bad enough they turned the water off overnight. The guest in the next room complained several times. It took flushing it multiple times to get it to stop running.
