Shaoxing Hotels with Rooftop Pools

"What a pleasant surprise! This hotel is a hidden gem. It's tucked away and a bit hard to find, but their service is top-notch. They contacted us the day before, asking about our travel plans and if we were bringing elderly, children, or pets. Since we always travel with our furry friend, their pet-friendly policy was a huge deciding factor. The hotel is nestled within an old residential area, blending in perfectly without any sense of incongruity – it felt like discovering a new world in a bustling district. The surroundings are surprisingly quiet with low foot traffic. Even better, it's incredibly close to all the popular attractions, which meant we didn't have to trek far to enjoy the sights, while still having a peaceful retreat at the hotel. This was definitely the highlight for our family. The courtyard, with its charming bridges and flowing water, had a lovely spring-like vibe, perfect for artsy photos. After a long day of exploring, instead of going straight to our room, we relaxed by the pool, soaking up the sun – so serene and utterly relaxing. The room was spotlessly clean, and I loved the subtle, pleasant fragrance. The color scheme in the room was particularly appealing, both stylish and cozy. With the pool right outside the window and plenty of sunshine streaming in, it was incredibly comfortable. The breakfast was quite varied, featuring many local specialties. The 'yinggao' (rice cake) was absolutely delicious; I ate three pieces myself! The handmade 'xiaohuntun' (mini wontons) prepared by the auntie were also incredibly fresh and flavorful – you could tell the ingredients were top-quality. P.S. It was a bit busy during breakfast, and the wontons and pumpkin 'miangeda' (dough drops) were made fresh to order, which was a very thoughtful touch. Although they accidentally gave our bowl of miangeda to another guest, they quickly prepared a new one for us. We totally understand that mistakes happen sometimes, and we still really enjoyed it. We visit Shaoxing frequently and will definitely be back if we get the chance. We highly, highly recommend this hotel!"

The overall experience far exceeded my expectations. First off, the location offers excellent privacy. The guesthouse is fully equipped, making it easy to spend an entire day enjoying its dining, accommodation, and activities. The team's dedication to guest satisfaction was truly evident; you can tell they pour their heart into running this guesthouse. "The hotel's setting is beautiful, located within Mirror Lake Wetland Park, making it very peaceful. The service was also excellent; they provided shuttle service for even the shortest distances. The front desk staff even upgraded our room type, and the room was spacious and very comfortable. The breakfast selection was rich and delicious. You can easily spend a whole day here cycling, taking a boat ride, hiking, and trekking within the park. It's not crowded, and the scenery is stunning. Highly recommended!"

"Very satisfied with my stay here, right inside Luzhen. You step out to quaint bridges and flowing water, and it's so peaceful to walk around early in the morning. The room was exquisite, and the butler was very responsive to any issues. The room smelled lovely, and the bathroom was spotless, even with a diffuser. Most importantly, the bar area allowed for brewing tea, and they provided disposable liners for the kettle, which felt very modern and hygienic. My only minor suggestion would be to add a handle to the bathtub for safety."

"The location is fantastic, right by Lu Xun's Former Residence, offering a peaceful retreat despite being in a bustling area. The hotel has a charming Jiangnan-style courtyard aesthetic, clean and cozy, with incredibly thoughtful and attentive service. Breakfast features local Shaoxing specialties like steamed buns and pan-fried dumplings. We particularly enjoyed the hotel-organized night tour and guided explanation of Lu Xun's Former Residence; everyone loved it. The attention to detail truly made for a reassuring and relaxing stay. It’s the perfect place to experience the 'small bridges and flowing water' charm of Shaoxing!"

"Shaoxing Dongshan Daguan is perfect for a getaway around the Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Shanghai areas! Nestled by mountains and a lake, it exudes the charm of Jiangnan. The lake view rooms offer amazing vistas, the facilities are exquisite, the service is attentive, and it's pet-friendly. Every corner of the hotel is picturesque, with its stunning Chinese architecture and gardens perfect for photos. We booked #Qidulvpai for a photoshoot, and the photographer expertly captured all the best spots amidst the scenery, creating an incredible atmosphere. The dining features Shaoxing specialties, and there are plenty of activities like boating, cycling, and pottery making. It was a superb vacation experience!"

"I recently checked in at this hotel in Shaoxing, and the experience was excellent! Walking into the room, the spacious layout was eye-catching, the room was clean and tidy, the area was large, and the bed and pillow was good, suit me. The hotel staff was warm and considerate, especially the front desk guy was very enthusiastic and responsive. The breakfast was delicious, the food was diverse, and both Chinese and Western styles were available. The food served in the Chinese restaurant was superb. The hotel facilities were brand new. The location of the hotel is also very good, adjacent to the subway station, whether it is to go to popular scenic spots or explore niche streets, it is easy and convenient. Highly recommended to friends who come to Shaoxing for travel or business!"

"I visited Shaoxing again and chose this hot spring resort hotel. Although it is cold, you can't swim in the big pool outdoors, but you can soak in the hot spring outdoors, and there is a private soup in the room, which is very pleasant. The hotel room was very clean and quiet. The restaurant set meal downstairs tasted very good. The yellow wine tasted very strong and the fragrance was very strong. In addition to Lanting, there are tea gardens and ancient streets around the hotel. There are many attractions and it is worth a few more times."

"The hostess at the guesthouse provided incredibly attentive service, and the pick-up/drop-off arrangements were very thoughtful. Its location within the scenic area is superb, making it ideal for families with children exploring the attractions. They even asked in advance if we were traveling with kids and prepared children's slippers and toiletries accordingly. Located right within the Keyan Scenic Area, a shuttle from the guesthouse promptly picked us up after we parked our car. After settling in and resting, they drove us to Luzhen for dinner. We then enjoyed a leisurely stroll through the quiet Luzhen at night before walking back to the guesthouse. The next morning, after breakfast, we were at the entrance of the Keyan Scenic Area in just 3 minutes by shuttle. We were among the first to enter, spent two hours exploring, and then took a boat to the pier. We simply contacted the guesthouse for another shuttle pick-up back to our room to relax further. This convenience was an absolute lifesaver, especially traveling in summer with a child. Highly recommended!"
