Elysian Retreat

We had great time in the hotel, rooms are very large, well maintained with minimalist design details and all have a private pool overlooking the sea. Breakfast is great, served individually per order, multiple options available on the menu. Best part was to relax after a long day with a glass of wine on the terrace and watching beautiful sunsets. Walking to and from Oia is not easy, especially on a hot day as it is a steap hill up. We were lucky enough to stay at less busy time before summer, however we experienced few times when guests were unreasonably noisy with no respect to other people in common areas. It’s obviously not a fault of the hotel. Perhaps would be nice to advise guests in helping to create a relaxing atmosphere. The staff was very polite and extremely helpful throughout our stay. Everyone was ready to accommodate any request or help in planning day activities. We tried a cooking class in the hotel with their chef, and loved learning local recipes and tasting food afterwards.

Our stay at the Elysian retreat was amazing. We were warmly welcomed by the hospitable staff and our room was great. We had a wonderful view and a heated pool which was handy as it is needed this time of year. Our stay was made even better with Eman, our host, who was so very helpful, even after our stay here had come to an end. She helped us explore the island better and do the things we enjoyed. I would highly recommend staying here. It's not far from the heart of Oia and provides a good sense of privacy and peace.

We stayed at the Elysian retreat for 5 nights in July and even before we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to help us plan a magical trip! We enjoyed a couples massage and a sunset catamaran cruise which the reservations team booked for us before we arrived, as well as booking a sunset dinner for us at a recommended restaurant. Upon arrival, Panos and Eleni were the most welcoming hosts, and the whats app contact makes everything very easy. It was a lovely treat having breakfast delivered to the balcony some days, the breakfast is 2 courses and very filling! Panos and Eleni took time to show us a map of the whole island and make recommendations for the best places to visit, as well as helping us to book a car for a day which was enough time to see what we wanted. Elysian retreat is walking distance, up hill to a selection of restaurants. We loved our meal at Lefkes at Panos’ recommendation! The room was beautifully decorated and the bed was so comfy. It wa swell stocked with toiletries and housekeeping did a great job each day. The private pool was the most perfect way to watch the sunset each evening. We also enjoyed the larger infinity pool with comfy loungers and yummy drinks and flatbreads. We cannot recommend the Elysian Retreat enough, the perfect luxurious stay for adults to relax in the tranquil environment with the most attentive staff to look after your every need. Great location to get to Oia in 10 minutes drive, we went one morning at 7am to beat the crowds and got some great photos. We hope to come back one day! I was there with my 18 yrs old daughter. We immediately fell in love with the retreat. The place is away from the craziness and noise of Oia but still walking distance from the village. The room was fabulous and the private and hotel pools very private. Good was delicious but most important the staff was fantastic, providing a lot of recommendations that made our experience even more special. Everybody was extremely helpful, kind and responsive to our needs. I would highly recommend the retreat to others and would return. Thank you
