Altera Pars Suites

Apart from the location, this hotel definitely deserves a 5 star rating. Everything was perfect, the room is beautiful furnished and big with a private pool and garden. The service was nice and warm , they were really passionate about telling the best way to travel in Santorini. Of course the cleanliness was good, I stayed for two nights and they cleaned up our room spotless. Breakfast was delicious and good looking, they let us to choose the style and personalised food. The breakfast will be sent to our room by choosing time from us, this is a great morning call as well. I would highly recommend this hotel as the price and service is a very good deal. One small thing to improve is the location, there is a bus stop 3mins walk but not showing in google map. Could be better if they have free shuttle bus to Fira or airport.

I generally do a good study on location of the hotel when travelling with kids, in this case I missed it and hence ended up at a location which I won't recommend to the family/kids. If you are visiting this area, hands down pick something that is close to FIRA town. Even though on the map this shows 10 mil drive to FIRA which is the HUB , the access is very limited. If you plan to take a taxi , it will cost you 30-40Euro, where the bus costs 2Euro per person for anywhere in the area. The issue with the bus is that there timing and calendars are not accurate. If you are staying in FIRA taking a BUS to any location will be a breeze as its the starting and ending point of the every BUS. Now coming to the rooms, very clean and spacious. We didn't use the pool as it was still cold but during the peak summer, they can be your best relaxing place. Breakfast was really good and enjoyed there menu items. There is pizza/gyros place Kantina near the hotel like 5 minute walk which delivers food and open late night. We enjoyed there food and will recommend. The bus stop to go to FIRA is just opposite this restaurant Katina. So if you stay at this place and come from FIRA , make sure you tell the conductor to stop at KANTINA stop, else you will be drop at the next city and it will be 15 minute walk to the hotel. we went during the non peak time and buses were still full, surely during the peak time it will be more crazy and crowded. Again I will recommend if you have your own car/transport, this place is awesome. If you plan to use the bus , stick with FIRA location.

The Altera Spa is a fantastic place to stay. Eleanor the lovely lady on the desk is an amazing lady who is very knowledgeable of the Island and helps with any issues or requests you might have. The Suite we had with own pool was amazing and cleaned every day. Best place I have stayed so far in Greece. The location is in the middle of the island and is in a residential area so in easy reach of everywhere. Fira was 7 mins in a car and very easy to reach infact everywhere was easy to reach. There are some places to eat in walking distance but a car I would say is very necessary and helps you see this amazing Island. There is aircon and a safe in the room, no cost as well as everything you need to make your stay very good. Can't fault the place or the staff. 5 stars

'' It was a pleasant surprise to see, how Greeks can combine luxury with tradition, in such a professional way. The property, the stuff, the view, the location. One word can describe our experience. Excellent. ''

Recently stayed here with my girlfriend for our 10 year anniversary and it was amazing. George and all the staff were fantastic, couldn’t do anything more to improve their service. Our apartment/room was well presented and very clean. The breakfast was fantastic, and plenty of choice - I’m quite a picky eater and they even catered for that! Definitely recommend the ATV/Buggy rental, if booked through Altera Pars they drop it off and pick it up from the hotel. Also highly recommend the sunset cruise, again offering travel to and from if booked through the staff in reception. Couldn’t of had a better stay, great location too. Highly recommend, I’m sure we will be back in the future!

Absolutely loved everything about this hotel, the room was perfect, the bed was insanely comfortable, the private pool was to die for & the breakfast every morning was so lovely. All the staff are extremely friendly & go above & beyond with anything they can. Will 100% go back & would 100% recommend
