Meli Meli

This is a well kept, beautiful place to stay -- not far from the northern bit of Imerovigli and with easy access to the Fira-Oia walking track. There's plenty of parking at the property and access to a rocky, dirt track to walk up to the town, avoiding the busy road (no pavement). Closer to home, there's a smashing traditional Greek taverna, just four minutes walk away. Some nearby places deliver to Meli Meli on request too. My elderly mother struggled a little with some of the steep and rocky paths, but we managed! Getting in and out of the gorgeous pool was a little harder for her -- there's just the one set of steep steps with a handrail.

Meli Meli is a beautiful and relaxing property decorated with unique style. The swimming pool area is fantastic. Jackie was very accommodating and easy to get in touch with. The only down side was that the road next by could be a bit noisy at times but nothing to worry about.

room was very nice with 2 balconies, one had view of the east coast. also the property has a pool. all in all perfect.

My friends and I stayed at Meli Meli for 3 nights and enjoyed our Santorini trip to the most. Jackie is extremely helpful in arranging us taxis, boat trips ect. The accommodation is close to a Carrefour so grocery shopping is easily accessible. There are also two bus stations nearby but the buses usually don't come on time so need to leave enough time for the delay.

This was our first trip to Santorini and we chose Meli Meli based on the reviews. We kept reading about the wonderful host, Markella and how warm and helpful she is and they were all true. Upon arrival she handed us a map of the island which she had populated with places of interest and restaurant recommendations both for Imerovigli and the whole island. She sent me details of trips and excursions by WhatsApp and also the instructions on how to use the coffee machine in the room! We stayed in room 2 which was nearest the pool for 4 nights and then moved upstairs to room 6 which had 2 balconies. Both beds were very comfortable and the rooms were immaculate. Both rooms had a kettle, coffee machine, sandwich toasting machine, cups, plates, glasses and cutlery. There was a hair dryer in each room and body lotion, conditioner and 2 in 1 shampoo and shower gel. Pool towels are provided in a basket by the loungers. A complimentary bottle of water is provided in the fridge. The pool was a nice size and ranged between 1.5 and 2.5m and was very very refreshing. The weather was a little mixed and a jumper and light jacket were required in the evening. We decided to buy milk, cereal, bread and butter and make ourselves breakfast before heading out each day as we hired a car for the week. We hired the car from *********** ( Fiat Panda for £150 including full protection insurance for 7 days) and picked it up and dropped it back at the airport saving taxi fares (30 euros each way). The car hire company is Volta4u and is located just outside the terminal building. Meli Meli was an excellent choice and we would strongly recommend. Markella was always available and is a fantastic asset to the business. Thanks for looking after us so well
