"J-HOPPERS is conveniently located. Just walk straight ahead after getting off the bus; it's at the fork in the road, or you can find it at the fork next to Tangfeng Prince. Google Maps is wrong; it leads to a long detour. It's also very close to the Millennium Hot Spring. I stayed in an 8-person room, each with individual capsule-style cubicles. The space was good; I could sit up and there was still plenty of room. The hot spring was very comfortable. Breakfast was free, consisting of congee. Even better than the facilities was the guesthouse's genuine hospitality and warm service. The owner even helped me carefully research the ticket purchase process for fishing in the river."

"This hotel served as a perfect stopover while hiking the Kumano Kodo. It's less than a 10-minute taxi ride from Kumano Hongu Taisha. This was my second stay, and when I asked, the hotel mentioned a renovation in November 2025, but it sounds like it will only be a partial refurbishment! The hot springs are very comfortable, with both indoor and outdoor baths. The outdoor bath is mixed-gender, and they provide special robes you can wear out there. I booked the half-board option (dinner and breakfast), but the food was quite ordinary with limited choices. However, since there are no convenience stores nearby, eating at the hotel was the only option. The hot spring river, just a 5-minute walk away, now has a public hot spring pool. Many people were enjoying it early in the morning, and kids were also digging their own small pools in the river. Waking up to the steam rising from the river was just wonderful."

"Full of continental garden hotel. Simple design is good-looking. There is also a smart kitten explaining the stay in Cantonese. The room is clean and tidy as a whole. Outside the window facing the sea view. Parking is free. You can also book 30 minutes of private soup (free) Breakfast style is not much, but enough. Staff service is very good, kind and courteous. I also gave my son a small gift when I checked out. After we checked in, we went to the beach near the hotel to play until late at night. "We thought staying at Sen Retreat Takijiri was very good to start our Kumano Kodo journey. The Sen Retreat Chikatsuyu was even more impressive! The size of lodging with living room, the in unit washer and dryer, and prepared food and drink were superb! "This room was because the hotel I booked before I didn't confirm the order the day before I left, and it became the perfect start for me to break through the middle of the Kumano Ancient Road. After leaving the station, I met Mr. Ota (60 years old), who came to pick me up. After a simple exchange, he gave me a brochure that I had to go to Kumano Ancient Road Museum to buy, and it had already stamped the furthest chapter on the periphery of the ancient road. Today, the task of the newer village is to NPC to take me to cover the other two chapters. And let me try a 2-hour hike to warm up for tomorrow's departure. The room is oversized, a little bigger than my home in Kyoto. At night, you can see the perfect valley sunset from the balcony! The toilet is a bit old but very clean, and the toilet paper is super thick and fragrant! The bathroom and the wash basin are equipped with a variety of toiletries so that you don't need to open the wash bag! Mr. Taitian's dinner for a busy afternoon was simple instant noodles and meatballs, which made me a little sad. We talked for a long time after dinner. Mr. Taitian is actually half a Chinese pass. If you have the opportunity to stay, please communicate with him. Although it looks a little far from the starting point, there is the blessing of Rosen convenience store and the hospitality of Mr. Ota, it is definitely a lucky place to start from Kumanoko! When I left, she drove me to the station. I liked it very much! The bus runs twice a day, and it’s difficult to take a taxi. The pick-up and drop-off is very pleasant."
