Amazing
GGuest UserMy husband and I stayed for 3 nights with our 1.5yo daughter and we had an amazing time! We stayed in the kid's wing on the 2nd floor. My daughter got her own bed and lots of welcome gifts. The room was so clean and had all of the amenities we needed. They had wonderful, thoughtful touches like kid's toiletries, robe and slippers, and a stool to access the sink/toilet. Housekeeping was very responsive and quick. We ordered room service and it was prompt and delicious.
Access to the hotel's amenities was all free when we stayed there. Unfortunately, the rooftop pool was closed for construction but the garden pool was lovely. Our room included the breakfast buffet. It was mostly Western and Korean/Chinese cuisines, and the variety didn't change much from day to day, but the food was very delicious! Great selection of pastries and the coffee bar was awesome. They also have a convenience store on-site with a seating area for dining.
My only recommendation is to have a car while staying here. The trek up the big hill to the hotel takes about 10 minutes and while it isn't terrible, it's tough after a long day. There are no bus stops on the hill, so you'd have to walk down to get to one. Once you're out of the grounds there are lots of shopping and restaurants nearby.
Overall, we had a wonderful time. The hotel is very kid-friendly and staff and guests alike are very understanding of the challenges of travelling with small children. The staff were very kind and helpful and were a huge part of why we enjoyed our stay so much. If we're ever back in Jeju I'd love to stay here again!
AAsankaA few things to update from the most recent review: the 7-11 next door is gone/being renovated; you cannot cook inside of your room even though it has a burner, etc. and not all rooms have a washing machine (photos a bit misleading). However, there is a laundry machine available for use, you just need your own detergent.
Very friendly and helpful staff. The cook-your-own breakfast was a great deal for us as a family. The roof top is amazing, 360 views of the sea and mountains, truly stunning.
LLinda C AMy family really enjoy stay in Kenny Hotel, its located near the Olle Market Seogwipo. Its self check in Hotel but everything is so convenient and clean. They provide everything we need and self service of course. Definitely will come back and recommended everyone, solo, couple, families, to stay here. And there is a delicious gukbap restaurant with reasonable price infront of sevel entrance. You must try it.
GGuest UserSufficient parking at the basement. Room is very spacious. Downside is that toilet has no bidet, and the shower stall is not well sealed so the toilet floor gets quite wet and slippery after showers. Kettle not provided in the room but you can request for one from the front desk if needed. Else, convenience store at the lobby closes at 11.30pm. They also provide a list of recommended restaurants nearby. Kbbq opposite the hotel was nice too.
Tttag1289This place is quite easy to find after you hop off the bus. There are two hotels in one building, so you’ll see the 2 hotel names right beside each other at the check in counter. The staff are friendly and check in went smoothly. They spoke some English and used the translator app to communicate with us (all was good). Our room had a great view which we discovered later when it wasn’t foggy or raining. Our room had the basic amenities but it was very spacious. On the first day, we had 4 hand towels, so we assumed that the two were to use for the shower (similar to another hotel we came from and thought it might be a thing in Jeju). However, the next day we came back from a trip and we had bath towels (maybe next time we’ll just ask them). Well, this hotel has a great location to many food places, coffee shops, seafood market, bank, and most importantly the well known waterfalls. These places are all within walking distances. We noticed that many shops and restaurants open late like 11am onwards, but that’s ok because you have many convenience shops everywhere. We checked out early and asked if we can leave our luggage at reception, the receptionist said yes but only until 1:00pm. However, we came back from the waterfall and saw other luggages were there, so we left it there and went on the submarine tour. We came back at 4:00pm and our luggages were still there and safe. Good place to stay for a short trip.
KKseniya R.Even though the room was spacious and overall the location was convenient for daily trips, the service leaves to desire more. We would appreciate a bit more if the front desk staff didn't just reply with ”I don't know” to our questions. I understand there might be a language barrier and we tried our best to use Korean or Google translate to simplify the communication, but we received very involved service. Hotel doesn't provide any shower towels, only face ones, so make sure you bring your own. There is also no additional items available on request (e.g. we booked for 5 people, but all the amenities were always set for 4, even when we requested an extra cup, the staff told us it wasn't possible).
HHong YiThe hotel is located 20mins away from Mt Hallasan. A good place to stay at after a long day of hiking, where we can soak in the jacuzzi that fits two pax. Kitchenware was provided for those who wishes to cook, and towels were hung outside the door if staying for more than one night.
HHagga03The room and the property are very nice, the location is ok for some attractions, although a little far from most of the bars and restaurants. The service at this hotel is bizarre. They are incredibly strict about the check in and check out time, and quite rude, they welcome you with a very passive aggressive rules document which threatens several ways you can be fined or kicked out of the hotel, the bar/restaurant was closed 'forever' I was told, the elevator and corridors constantly have a smell like someone has farted in them. The breakfast food is poor, unseasoned and flavourless, even the butter is unsalted, poor selection, you have to compete with the staff for the best bits of the food as they eat in the restaurant at the same time and don't restock items, although they claim to do breakfast until 10 with last entry at 930, they tidy up around you at like 915 without asking if you're finished, and seem to expect you to clear your own table. If you put do not disturb in the morning they don't come clean later but just leave a carrier bag of towels outside, if you use they glassware in the room they don't clean it at all or replace it. Overall a very strange experience, maybe it's a cultural thing but from a western perspective this hotel has some of the worst service I've ever experienced, and I found it quite unwelcoming. For the money you'd be better off booking something from an American chain or similar.
SSonglaobanOriginally living in the city near the airport, one day I went to Hanna Mountain to play. After playing, I wanted to continue to take the bus all the way to the south. I came to the Chinese area. I thought that the airport area was too far away that day, so I booked a hotel temporarily.
This hotel is close to the standard of the homestay, the facilities are average, but it is very close to the beach. The scenery of the morning walk to the beach is very beautiful. The price is also very high during the Spring Festival.
BBoyscout76Let me start with one thing: with a ”touch of young blood”.
First location: sits in idyllic and panoramic view from the common balcony in 6F. A first time visitor to Jeju should at leats stay few days in Seogwipo (again, Jeju is divided into Jeju City and Seogwipo) as it showcase all the vest attractions in South, West and East Jeju)
From Airport, take bus 600 and bus stop seogwipohang (31 stops from airport)
Cleanliness: ilike to see the rooms no shoes and slipper allowed. It is clean and comfortable from heated floor and nice smelling beds and blankets and reasonable size locker rooms.
Service: The giveaway price you paid also includes free breakfast. Again, i explain later why it has a touch fresh blood, you will love to see new ideas in kitchen liek SeomBucks, SeomWay and many more. But what most I dont understand is why there are sweets (candies) also in Shower rooms. Fridge, you can have all you want to put in and get a personal space.
Facilities: The hostel in 6F overlooks the seogwipo sub-marine park. It is also within walking distance to a waterfall park. The rooftop also is so spacious (that you can hold a basketball) and a laundry.
The property caretaker, is literally a young blood, a college student having school breaks due to some injury and is managing this little haven is full of ideas, ready to jump and help, fluent in English and undoubtedly above average IQ/EQ. He surely can deal with picky and demanding foreigners and locals alike to get the best feeling at-home experience.
This why i said there is a touch of YOUNG BLOODS.
Ps: I canceled several of my bookings in another hotel and extended my stay here.
