We stayed at this resort for 3 nights in December 24. We had a fantastic stay! The staff were brilliant and go out of their way for you. Restaurant food and drinks menu was fantastic and the whole resort was well cared for. As it was my birthday during our stay they decorated our room as a surprise which was a lovely touch! We would definitely come back!

Great hotel. In real life it's cozier than in the photo. Small but very nice breakfast, good restaurant and territory.

Beautiful well-kept territory, delicious breakfast to choose from: traditional or European. There is an open-air shower. We walked to the Rainforest and Orangutans and Bears.

There are 4 beds in the common room. The territory is very beautiful. The breakfast is good. I had dinner in the restaurant, very tasty.

The hotel has a great environment and a swimming pool. You can book a shuttle bus to the Discovery Center at the front desk. The toilet is very primitive but clean. I unexpectedly found an outdoor shower room when I checked out. The only drawback is that my shoes were left outside at night and were left by some wild animals...

The independent cabins are pretty good for the price, but there are basically no Chinese people there, and the food is average for Chinese people. The jungle resort a little ahead has Chinese food and more activities.

Good location in nature. In the pictures there was a picture of a larger rectangular pool that didn't exist. The restored one is overpriced with sub-par food. You can see monkeys and squirrels.

The hotel is excellent next to the nursery of orangutans, rainbow bears and rainforest, the territory of the hotel is very beautiful, the pool is small, lived in a house which on the one hand is very authentic and on the other hand modern. When leaving the hotel we could not call a grab taxi, had to use the services of the reception. I do not recommend taking a tour for 3 days 2 nights to Sukau, to see only proboscis monkeys and crocodiles and various birds, one night is the best. It is better to devote more days to Sepilok, there you can see all the birds and animals

Very beautiful and quiet resort. Original ecology. There were bats living under the eaves in front of the cabin where we lived. Staff are friendly and helpful. Not far from the Ape Sanctuary, Sun Bears and RDC. The restaurant is good. If it rains, you will pass through waterlogged paths when walking to the main road.

We visited and stayed 2 nights as part of of a trailfinders trip. It says it's 2 star and it is. The rooms are in need of a renovation, the wall linings were peeling off the wall. The bathroom is functional, the outdoor shower has a sieve providing a shower effect. Situated well next to the orangutan and sunbear sanctuary. Breakfast was a limited buffet style and drinks reasonably priced.

We stayed for 3 nights and loved this place. The lodges are rustic but very comfortable with air conditioning, the staff are friendly, the food is tasty, and the location is perfect for visiting the Orangutan & Sunbear sanctuarys, and the Rain Forest Discovery Centre. We went on day trip to the Kinabatangan river (organised by the lodge) and saw orangutans, monkeys and elephants. The absolute highlight though was seeing a huge male orangutan enjoying the fruits on the trees above the lodges and then swinging down across the lodge roof back into the forest. An amazing experience we wouldn’t have had if we hadn’t stayed here!

Positives: Very good location surrounded by greenery. If you are lucky you can watch the first animals from the bungalow. You can also walk to the three sights in 20 minutes if you want to. We were upgraded to a very spacious bungalow. We also liked the barefoot feeling in the restaurant. Generally a very nice resort. Improvements: The breakfast was okay. But since you are usually only here for 2-3 nights anyway, it is completely sufficient. The bungalow was very large but not really practically furnished. There is still a lack of attention to detail. Otherwise, however, we really liked it.

We had a lovely stay at SFER, the staff are very friendly and helpful. The onsite restaurant has an extensive menu and the food was delicious for a reasonable price. Breakfast was also delicious and included a hot and cold buffet. 10-20 min walk to RDC (recommend the night walk), Orangutans and Sun Bears. Rooms are basic (but you're in the rainforest!) and provide everything you need, including a kettle and minifridge! Comfortable beds and lovely view from balcony. Would recommend this place and hoping to come back in the future!

Staff were brilliant - always helpful and friendly . They went out of their way when we left to get us a taxi to the airport when we realised that a Grab to airport wouldn’t work . Rooms are clean and have a lovely balcony . The resort is a 15 min walk to the orangutan sanctuary and about a 30 min walk to the Rainforest centre - down a gravel track to start with but quite safe lots of people walking it . Restaurant area is good and a reasonably priced menu . The plunge pool is nice after sightseeing.
