Mercure Shanghai Hongqiao SOHO Reviews

We stayed 2 nights at Mercure. We arrived near midnight due to our flight, but check in was fast. It was a relief as we were dead tired due to the long hours of traveling. Staff were efficient and courteous. The beds are super comfortable and we slept well. As for breakfast, there were adequate variety with good mix of western and Chinese cuisine. The location is excellent, no complaint at all. The hotel is near a nice community park, metro station, several shopping malls with food, cafe and retail outlets. Also nearby was the famous Linkong soho designed by the renowned architect Zaha Hadid. All within 5 to 10 minutes walk. We couldn't ask for a better location to stay. In summary, great location and nice comfortable bed.

Location is near to Ctrip HQ, and 8 mins walk away from Song Hong train station. Hence the nearest decent mall/food area is 8mins walk away. Room is decent and clean, though the channels are very very limited. Cool to have a voice activated AI assistant configured in the room, but I only found out about it myself on the last day; would have been great if the staff had briefed about it. Note: the chair in the room is pretty low, weird height to be using the table as a working table

The hotel is at a perfect location. Nice interior . I requested early check in and they allowed very early check-in which was great . Had little challenge with communication due to language barrier wihich is kind of unexpected at shanghai centre hotel . Rooms had most amenities . They had tooth paste but not the tooth brush which I reckon must have have been missed by house keeping while making the room. Had a tiny unwelcomed guest which kind of put me off!😢

位置很方便，这是第二次入住了。每次都特别顺利。 This is a great location if you visit Shanghai for travel, it’s close to the tube station and the rooms are clean. Abroad passport friendly so I truly recommended!

It’s a clean hotel good for business and family stay. The room is spacious and I love the wooden floor instead of carpet which always trapped dirt and gems. The hotel offers breakfast which has quite a few variety for me to choose for young kids. It is also near to the subway and a shopping mall nearby. Would stay in the same hotel for the next time.

Hotel located in 5 minutes from metro and food court. Going to center takes 20-25 min in metro only. Need to understand as everywhere staff speaks Chinese only. To speak English need inline translator. The breakfast normal, but for long stay quite boring due to same food every day.

I book 2 rooms but got the room separate. Its ok that the room is still on the same floor. Check in a bit diff as staff didn’t speak English. Breakfast is good.

Very good service. They are willing to go extra miles to make sure your stay are most pleased.
