Facilities: The facilities are a little dated, but very comprehensive. The hotel lobby has a unique character, and the air conditioning works great.
Cleanliness: Spotlessly clean, and housekeeping was prompt.
Location: Surrounded by major shopping malls and located right next to Jing'an Temple, with an abundance of fantastic dining options in the vicinity.
Service: The service was undoubtedly the most impressive aspect of this stay; it was absolutely stellar and made for an incredibly smooth and pleasant experience.

Staying in the he KunLun Grand Hotel in Jing an Shanghai, was the best experience ever. The best location in the center of Shanghai, 2 mins to the Metro station. Staying in the hotel, is the best choice also , all the staff I met is very courteous, and they tried best to help me with everything, such as carrying luggage, best room to suit my needs, guide me to the place where I can go. The cleaner was very nice, she always made my room very clean and neat. Further more, the price of staying in the hotel, is reasonable. I enjoyed the Shanghai view from my room window. I will definitely to going back and stay in the best hotel, if I travel to Shanghai again.
Thanks for all the staff I met :Mr Zhou, Mr Wang, Ms. Wu, including some staff who I didn't know their names.

Stayed here recently and overall had a pretty average experience considering a big brand like Pullman. The location is fantastic — right above the metro, which makes getting around super convenient.
That said, the hotel could use a bit of refreshing. I had to change rooms after the first night due to a water heater issue. But shoutout to the relations manager, who handled the situation really well and even upgraded me to a nicer room, which definitely made the rest of my stay more pleasant.
One thing that could really be improved — ******* deliveries. It’s quite a hassle to go down to collect items yourself. Would be a huge plus if they had delivery robots or some system to send items up to the rooms, like some other hotels in Shanghai already do.
All in all, decent stay with great service recovery, but a revamp of the hotel is overdue.

It was my first time staying at The PuLi, and I was immediately captivated by its serene and elegant atmosphere. The overall design is tasteful, with attention to every detail that creates a sense of comfort and sophistication. The room was spacious, bright, spotless, and very relaxing to stay in. Special thanks to Vicky and Stephanie thoughtful service, which made the whole experience even warmer and smoother. Though the stay was short, it left a deep impression — I’m already looking forward to coming back.

Everything was great! Breakfast selection and quality was more than enough, room was clean and nice, fitness center was superb with 25 meter lapping pool!
it was a very kind of one front desk female staff to upgrade my room being next to my another room .It’s a unique hotel of a castle structure building, a really nice place for taking good pictures. There’s a free welcome gift and mini bar drink for the first day stay, that’s the good bonus. Looking out of the window when you have a seat by the window in the restaurant , the view is really beautiful. Generally speaking my family had a wonderful time and happy experience for staying in this hotel for two nights.

The hotel upgraded our room to executive and it comes with dinner at their Chinese restaurant. However, we were unable to make it for dinner and they offered to change it to lunch. They sent our luggage up to the room while we enjoyed the lunch. Their services are excellent and they have a counter for parcel collection on behalf of the guest. Even if the parcel arrived earlier than the day we checked into the hotel, they will receive it on behalf based on the guest name. Excellent services! The bed is big and comfortable.

Let me start by saying: I'm deeply dissatisfied. I saw a five-star rating on Trip.com, but my actual stay fell far short of what that standard implies. For this price, there are many other hotels with more professional management. I also question Trip.com's rating criteria.
**Facilities:** The room size was one issue, but the bathroom vanity design was truly impractical. There was no space for common toiletries; they had to be crammed onto a tiny ledge. Furthermore, there was no waste bin near the sink, which was very inconvenient. When the overhead shower was turned on, water sprayed everywhere instead of coming down in a steady vertical stream. The room window had two or three panes, but the lock on one of them was broken. The sharp edges of the bed, combined with the narrow aisle, actually scraped a layer of skin off my leg, posing a safety hazard. And then there's the door: once opened, it wouldn't close automatically, unlike any other hotel door, which is another safety concern.
**Service:** On the first night of my stay, a Saturday, there was loud noise from downstairs until 1 or 2 AM, making it very difficult to sleep. It was then that I realized why there were two earplugs placed beside the bed. I wanted to change rooms, so I went to the front desk the next day. I was told that it was too late to change room status. My question then is, what if there were unavoidable issues like a leaky pipe, a power outage, or a door that wouldn't close? The front desk simply told me it would be 'better today' and that weekends are generally noisy. In reality, when I tried to sleep, I could hear every sound from downstairs perfectly clearly. I strongly advise light sleepers to avoid this place.
Not to mention, the cleaning staff would sit in public areas on their phones, and during breakfast, staff members would stand in front of the food chatting amongst themselves. The entire breakfast experience felt utterly disorganized and unprofessional.
**Positive aspects (though few):** The complimentary meal looked decent (though I won't dwell on the fact that I was initially told I could eat it before 6 PM upon check-in, only to be informed at 5 PM that the restaurant was already closed, and it was only delivered to my room after I questioned them). The location is between two metro stations, both about a 15-minute walk away, and it's quite a distance from the core commercial area of Jing'an Temple. If you're traveling with family members who have mobility issues, I'd suggest choosing a hotel closer to a metro station.
Finally, with the exception of a few proactive cleaning staff members who greeted me, none of the other hotel staff made me feel welcome. This really puzzled me; isn't a good service attitude the most fundamental professional quality for service personnel?
**Summary:** Having stayed in dozens, if not hundreds, of hotels both domestically and internationally, I rarely leave negative reviews unless I'm truly disappointed. Moreover, my own family operates a brand hotel under Jinjiang Group, so this stay left me profoundly disappointed. I hope the management genuinely commits to improving things, and I will also report this to the platform. This definitely does not meet the standard of a five-star hotel.

We stayed in the Art Deco room, which was nice. The bath looking out over the city is great. The breakfast was very disappointing. There’s no one there to check you in, explain the process/options or show you to a table. The food is very mediocre but the service is quite terrible. The restaurant staff talk very loudly to each other and don’t seem to understand paying guests are eating their breakfast. They are very unprofessional. I stayed 3 nights and had the same experience every morning. I had to wait 20 mins for a coffee too. If I stay here again I’ll skip the breakfast and instead head over to Starbucks a few mins walk away. I’d booked this hotel mainly for the terrace and restaurant options but all were closed apart from the lobby bistro. Overall, a lovely room with 3 star service.

The hotel boasts an excellent location, right next to Taikoo Hui, making it incredibly convenient for getting around and offering a wealth of dining, entertainment, and shopping options. The room itself was clean and tidy. However, there was a noticeable lack of personalized, attentive butler service. The TV screen in the room was quite blurry/damaged. Furthermore, having a trash can placed right at the entrance was an eyesore; it would be far more practical to move it next to the vanity. The breakfast menu also completely lacked any local Shanghai specialties. Overall, it felt like a very impersonal hotel, lacking warmth.

RRositaFresitaI spent a relaxing 5 days at this hotel. It’s where I usually stay when I visit Shanghai. As usual, the customer service is impeccable. I always book a room that includes Club Lounge access since it’s so convenient to have my meals there. All the staff at the lounge are lovely and attentive. I requested a late check out with ease and did lots of shopping in the nearby malls. I also visited a great nail salon next to the Starbucks nearby, Sunshine Nails. I also visited In House hair salon, in case you need hair and nail recommendations close to the hotel. Overall, I had a wonderful time at The Portman Ritz-Carlton as always. I will definitely be back.
PphilipzkA trendy boutique brand under the InterContinental (IHG) group. The hotel is located in the bustling Jing'an commercial district, surrounded by plenty of restaurants. However, it's a bit of a walk from the nearest metro station, roughly ten minutes. The hotel's decor is very stylish, incorporating many unique Shanghai-inspired elements. Rooms are spacious, and the circular bathtub is a definite highlight. The first round of the mini-bar is complimentary during your stay. The swimming pool on the basement level is quite small. Service from all departments was warm and attentive.

GGuest UserThe room was very spacious, featuring two comfortable beds and plenty of room. The view from the 18th floor was excellent and very expansive. The front desk staff were exceptionally friendly; hotel personnel greeted us warmly upon arrival, and the bell staff promptly assisted with luggage storage. The hotel lobby was grand and impressive.
Surprisingly, floors four and five house a lively food street, a cinema, and a children's play area. The location is superb: right outside, there's a bustling shopping street, an RT-Mart supermarket is next door, and Jiuguang Department Store is just a minute's walk across the road. Shanghai Railway Station is only two subway stops away, and Tongji University Tenth People's Hospital is a mere four-minute walk. The nearest subway station is also just a six-minute walk.
Overall, it was a fantastic stay. I hope the hotel continues its excellent service, though I would suggest that the room carpets could use a thorough cleaning.
