I was looking for a hotel near the Forbidden City. It's right in front of the Forbidden City and has a great location. The price is mostly for the location, but the service and room facilities are average. It feels old, and the smell of cigarettes permeated the entire building and into the room, which was unpleasant. There were two coin-operated laundry machines, but the facilities were old. The restaurant was small and crowded for breakfast. The made-to-order dumplings and beef noodles were delicious. Also, The afternoon tea buffet was supposed to be included, but without any explanation, it had been changed to a box and only contained cookies, yogurt drink, and tomatoes. I'm a little disappointed.
