We stayed for 2 night which was not enough! The hotel room was spacious, clean and modern with a view over Hammock beach. Delicious buffet breakfast at Calusa... We ate lunch at Dry Rocks... delicious fresh salads, Tacos etc. The staff were very accommodating.. We loved both beaches... coconut beach had lots of sun beds, lots of shade and the sea was lovely and warm. We did paddle board, kayaking and loved it!! Perfect for couples, families etc... Great hotel. Can’t wait to go back.

Jjake11082018Pros: The resort is beautiful. The staff is wonderful and work hard. Thank you Miguel for your bar service and attention to detail - it did not go unnoticed. The weather was perfect. The water in the pool was nice and cool - cloudy - but expected with that many people wearing sunscreen and little children that never get out of the water ALL day... The beds are comfy, pillows are OK. They keep the beach cleaned. Jet ski staff - great Navy veteran working there - thank you for your service and he gave un a few extra minutes. Food is good poolside. Service is prompt. Lots of parking. Towels are soft. Cons: Water pressure is non-existent. Housekeeping is slow and inconsistent. One trash can not nearly enough in the room. The one bar that is open after the pool bar closes is a joke. Entertainment? Thu-Fri-Sat starts at 7:00 until 9:00 but there is nothing else happening. They don't have music unless you want to hear resort music that you have heard all day long on repeat. There is no late food service as the kitchen closes early. One bartender - I think her name is Victoria - was overly rude and condescending towards guests. She complained that she was overworked and hadn't had a day off in over a week.... We booked a snorkeling trip - had to drive off property to get to the boat. They should offer some sort of discount for that inconvenience. Our first reef was outstanding with tons of fish and sea life to see. The second location - why did we even go there. It was sea grass and sand........ I talked with others that were on the trip and they displayed their displeasure with his selection as well. Apparently he was taking advice from his wife that was on the boat. Every time we went into the lobby to snag a few cookies - the same tune - ”all the kids came in and took them all” Why didn't they stop that? Same think happened with the popcorn machines... First two drinks per guest amounts to a small split of warm bubbly with plastic flutes??? All in all our stay was very enjoyable but at that price point - we expected excellence and got standard.

AAndrea NI love this resort - it was exactly what my family and I needed for a relaxing, but adventurous getaway. I can’t say enough about the service, attention to detail, and amenities this resort offers. Everyone was so kind, helpful, attentive, and provided exemplary service. My husband and I immediately extended our stay after being there for a day. You really can’t go wrong with this resort. I want to call out two people who provided over-the-top, impressive service. First, Edwin, the outdoor server, was everywhere and just consistently checked up on my family and I during our time outdoors. He was hustling, sweating, and did everything with the kindest smile and heart. Hard work should always be rewarded and you could tell Edwin had so much pride in what he does. Truly loved that he took such good care of my family and I and I hope he’s recognized for his efforts. Second, is Armando, within the engineering team. I never fished before and Armando saw me struggling on the dock. He stayed with me FOR AN HOUR after his day was done to help me. At times he was even more dedicated than I to catch a fish, but in the end, we did and I couldn’t be more grateful for him. He said, “we’re going to make you a memory today!” And we for sure did. We’re planning annual trips back to Playa Largo. My three-year old loved the pool, fishing, looking for starfish, and hanging out in the room! Such an amazing place, I can’t wait to return!

GGuest UserGreat location and good facilities. Staff really friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble. Rick the GM runs a really good hotel here. In places the hotel is a little dated but it’s made up by the staff and facilities. Whilst we were staying they popped a letter to us apologising that they needed to do a small repair to the patio doors and made sure it was a convenient time to do it and gave us a breakfast vouchers for the troubles. Can’t wait to stay again.

GGuest UserFor $200 a night, I had a room that was no more than 500 feet off of A1A,... talk about hearing the cars, trucks & motorcycles go by... The room: while it was clean, sure is not up to date! There was duct tape in at least 2 locations in the bathroom; the bathroom light was an outdoor porch fixture (just without a yellow bug light); the bathroom door opened right into the room door; the gap between the floor and the door jam of the room door was ridiculous (could be used as a bright night light) - had to place towels along the bottom & hang one from the side to try & block out the light and some of the road noise; the air conditioning unit turned on every 2-7 minutes, ran for 1-10 minutes, pretty noisy; the fridge (which I didn't find until Friday night/Saturday morning when all of a sudden a very audible noise started and woke me up - had to turn it off), was hidden in the fake dresser drawers; the vanity mirror reminded me of one of those mirrors you see at a carnival (distorted); there were chipped floor tiles throughout the room; the gentleman at the front desk when I checked in was not what you would call overly friendly; Housekeeping did come in and make the bed and bring new towels and toiletries; there was a free ”continental breakfast” served both mornings (coffee & tea, bottled juice, packaged Danish, single serve yogurts, oranges); bed was comfortable; but the pillows were made for kids (maybe 2-feet in length - at least there were 4 of them so you could pile them together); and what's with short-sheeting the bed? I made my reservation and payment to Trip.com, but when I checked in the guy said I had to answer some Expedia questions!?
