The location might be slightly TOO good! It’s directly across the Pub Street so it can be loud until late. However besides that it’s a pretty nice hotel. I noticed some things could use some renovation but overall not a bad place. This photo is of the stage that was setup outside (during the new year).

Great place to stay, I stayed here for 3 nights and the pricing was very affordable. Spacious and very clean rooms and a well maintained property.
The staff is always available and friendly, a family run property and they take care of it really well.
Would definitely recommend.
Very conveniently located close to the Pub street, Old market, night market and the river side if your want to explore street food.

The hotel looks good in picture, but actual state is shocking as it shows its age and due for a major renovation.
Bad Points:
(1) Toilet basins, taps, bath tub and toilet seats have worn off so badly they desparetely needed to be replaced.
(2) Very weak shower water pressure and water is not hot enough for a relaxing shower after a long day out
(3) No shampoo or shower gel and no hair dryer provided in the room
(4) No daily room cleaning or towel changing until asked from reception on 2nd day
(5) Pathetic small & old 21’’ LCD TV that cannot be turned on
(6) Room furnitures are dated and near end of life cycle too
(7) Receptionists have poor command in English
Good Points
(1) Location is good as it is far enough from the noisy & maddening crowd in Pub Street, but yet within 5 mins walking distance to all the night life of Siem Reap city
(2) Room is spacious with a bar fridge and aircon works fine
(3) Room charges are amongst the lowest in the area costing less than USD 15/night
(4) Receptionists are friendly and helpful even though they don’t really understand English
My conclusion is this place is not for fussy or demanding guests, who would be better off paying more than USD 25 for a better room at nearby boutique or 3-4 stars hotel. Good for backpackers upgrade though! 😂

This is a lovely welcoming small hotel with very nicely appointed rooms and all the necessary amenities. The beds are super comfortable with very nice velveteen sheets. The staff are really helpful as I had to rearrange my dates at the last minute. Also they kindly assisted me in booki g a taxi to Poipet on my departure.
Everything worked well, great water pressure, cool air con, great location just across the bridge my the two markets.
Highly recommend for the reasonable price charged (compared to other places nearby) and I'll be back again for sure.

The hotel really looks nice. The lobby is very hip. There’s a restaurant and pool deck and we had our lunch there. The food was great. The room is very spacious and new with a Smart TV. However, there’s an issue in the shower room wherein the drainage is not functioning properly that resulted to water going inside the room. Also, it could’ve been better if there’s a toiletries holder in the shower room.

Fast checked in & checked out without deposit. Room and bathroom is quite small, but no complaint since it worth the price. They’ve elevator which at first I thought they don’t bcs it’s only 4th floor hotel. Small pool but enough to get the sunlight for sunbathing. They currently do renovation in front of the hotel, but I didn’t hear any sound in the night. And there’s supermarket opposite the hotel.

Our room was abit cramped for 3 people plus our balconey right on driveway
For some reason our shower kept flooding bathroom which was a little inconvenient.

Pros - cost $14, laundry 1 kg for $1, the hotel is located 7-10 minutes walk from the night market and pub street, there is a small pool, billiards, a pool bar, breakfast is included (bananas, tea, coffee, choice of: scrambled eggs, omelet, soup, toast), very friendly and caring staff, you can order bus tickets at the reception. The room has a fan and air conditioning, a refrigerator, a kettle, two bottles of water every day. Good Wi-Fi by the pool and in the dining room.
Cons - a dilapidated room, needs cosmetic repairs and more thorough cleaning. Dusty furniture, crumbs, hair from other guests, dirty walls. There are ants in the room, but the staff sometimes treat them, there are also mosquitoes. The bed linen is old. Cleaning in the rooms on request.
Very uncomfortable pillows. There are no normal hangers for clothes, the plumbing is rusty. The room is dark, one socket, wall lamps are broken and dangling on wires. Bad Wi-Fi in the room.

The receptionist efficiently organized all our arrangements. Although we arrived after 9 PM, she successfully coordinated a sunrise tour of Angkor Wat for us and also booked a bus to Battambang, with both tours including hotel pick-up. The accommodation was satisfactory, featuring a kettle in the room. It is an affordable and convenient location. however, if you prefer a more modern and cleaner hotel, you may want to consider spending a bit more for one of the numerous alternatives available.

The service at Sala Lodges was commendable, embodying the true spirit of hospitality. The staff were attentive, approachable, and consistently willing to assist us in organizing our trips around Siem Reap, making the overall experience hassle-free and enjoyable. A special shoutout to the Swiss owners who were genuinely amiable and made us feel warmly welcomed.
As for the accommodations, the rooms in Sala Lodges were a delightful surprise. Each room bore discrete charm with its tasteful decoration, seamlessly blending traditional and contemporary elements. The authentic Khmer old houses are full of charm, yet modern and well preserved.
The hotel’s kitchen offered a menu that might seem simple at a glance but was satisfyingly delightful upon tasting. Every dish we tried was prepared well, with fresh ingredients and flavors that are comforting yet exciting to the palate. The breakfast, in particular, deserves an extra note of praise for being consistently good, providing a delightful start to our days of exploration.
Adding to the hotel’s allure was the inviting swimming pool, serving as a refreshing sanctuary after a day of touring the magical temples and vibrant markets of Siem Reap. Nestled amidst the vibrant city, the hotel stands out as the epitome of luxury and hospitality. Impeccable service (a special thank you to the manager, John), exquisite, carefully thought out design (you can literally swim from your balcony), and outstanding amenities, I genuinely believe Memoire Palace Resort & Spa has established itself as the premier destination for travelers seeking an unforgettable experience in Siem Reap.
Some of my favorite parts about the hotel and experience in general were:
Interior & Exterior Architecture: A harmonious blend of traditional Khmer influences and contemporary elegance creates a truly breathtaking atmosphere. The attention to detail in the interior design, with its lavish furnishings, excellent choice of lighting, and unique artistic touches, elevates the overall experience to new heights. The room was spacious, elegantly furnished, and equipped with state-of-the-art amenities. The plush bedding, tranquil ambiance, and panoramic views create an oasis of relaxation.
The Exceptional Service: One of the standout features of Memoire Palace Resort & Spa is its commitment to providing exceptional service to its guests and the environment. The staff members are attentive, courteous and go above and beyond to meet every guest's needs. The manager even made an effort to visit me at the gym as he could not greet me at the reception. The hotel's staff is truly dedicated to creating a seamless and memorable stay for each visitor. In addition, the commitment to a plastic-free experience was impressive - there was literally none in all the facilities. They should be commended.
Culinary Options: Memoire Palace Resort & Spa boasts an impressive array of dining options, each offering a unique culinary experience. From traditional Khmer delicacies to international flavors. The Stage 1960 had an impressive menu with imported meats I doubt can be found elsewhere; breakfast every morning was beautiful with the freshest local ingredients to create innovative dishes; even the room service, typically an afterthought, was thoughtful with something for everyone.
Location: The Royal Family Suite by Memoire Palace Resort & Spa is ideally located. The hotel is a stone's throw away from the magnificent Angkor Wat, allowing guests to easily explore the UNESCO World Heritage site. Additionally, it's only a 2-minute ride to the bustling Old Market and the vibrant Pub Street, providing convenient access to local markets, shops, and lively nightlife. Negotiable scooter rentals provided by the hotel significantly enhanced our exploration flexibility. The standout feature was undoubtedly the complimentary massage, which was superbly relaxing.
The hotel welcomed us with a free airport transfer, an appreciated gesture. However, a subsequent airport transfer incurred a $40 charge, which felt disproportionately high for the short distance involved and the current fuel prices in Cambodia.
The maintenance of the hotel was exemplary, demonstrating the staff's dedication to providing a clean and welcoming environment. Our room faced the wall of an adjacent building, which, while not ideal, was a minor inconvenience as we spent most of our time out exploring.
Breakfast options were basic but were partly made up for by the inclusion of delicious exotic fruits. A particularly convenient amenity was the complimentary laundry service, which we found very useful.
A delightful addition to our stay was the daily offering of a complimentary non-alcoholic drink and a small snack by the pool, making our time there even more enjoyable.
We chose to dine outside the hotel every evening, a decision we did not regret. The local dining scene offered a plethora of fresh and healthy options (checkout the vegetarian restaurants), allowing us to immerse ourselves in the culinary diversity of Siem Reap and enjoy authentic local flavors.
In conclusion, Anansaya La Maison serves as a commendable base for visitors to Angkor Wat, with its blend of thoughtful amenities and excellent location. Mr Phea, Ms. Thida and Ms. Annie truly deserve my recommendation for their great hospitality, genuine care, and friendliness. I was first greeted my Mr Phea at the airport for the pick-up by TukTuk. It was a complimentary by the hotel. He was welcoming and so was Ms Thida when I arrived at the hotel. Not only with her warm smiles, I was also welcomed with a cold towel and a refreshing lemomgrass drink. We chatted like as if we had already known each other! As the room was already available on my arrival , I was granted early check-in to my room. Thank you, Ms Thida! I love my room. It was spacious and cosy. I wished the mini bar was complimentary but no biggie as there's a small grocery store just across the road where you can buy instant noodles, snacks, drinks and toiletries etc I spent the rest of my day out on a TukTuk for sightseeing and lunch. Mr Phea was my loyal TukTuk driver throughout my stay in Anjali. He was also like a tour guide and a friend to me. He brought me to an area where the Muslim community lives. There's a mosque and plenty of Halal food/restaurants. I truly appreciate Mr Phea doing this for me. Because of this, I had the opportunity to devour the delicious Cambodian dishes of Beef Lok Lak, Amok Fish, etc, without having to worry if it was pork-free and safe for me to eat. He brought me for a drive along the paddy fields and to watch the sunset. When I returned to the hotel, I was greeted by Ms Annie and Mr Panha. They were friendly too! Breakfast was alright to me. My first morning, I had my breakfast prepared and packed in a tiffin carrier as I left at 4am to go for the Angkor Wat Sunrise Tour. They packed hard boiled eggs, croissants, bananas, and little baguettes with jam. Only one morning I went to the restaurant for my breakfast and I chose Waffles with fresh fruits. There's a buffet of bakeries (bread, pastries, cakes), fresh fruit juices, cereals, and salad. I would totally recommend that the hotel look into an airtight container for the cereals as the ones I ate were all kinda soft and stale. The salad too should be covered because it was 'covered' with fruit flies and flies feasting on it. My two other breakfasts were spent in my room as requested. One of it was exceptionally good. I requested for scrambled eggs with cheese and mushrooms and I got just that. It was creamy and fluffy! I requested for smoked salmon at the side but was given smoked salmon bagel with rocket leaves and
The morning on my check-out day was sort of disgusting. The scrambled eggs were dry and two of out the croissants were cold. The watermelon Juice was good though. It could have been perfect if a glass of ice was served alongside with it.

The rooms are lovely, the pool area is spectacular and the whole place has a very peaceful and welcoming ambiance. The breakfast buffet included a wide variety of delicious foods and we chose to have our evening meal here every night as well. The dinners were delicious and very reasonably priced! I have traveled quite a bit in my lifetime, and Metta Residence and Spa is at the very top of my list of favourite places to stay. I will be back for sure! Thank you so very much!

GGuest UserWe came here for the first part of our Cambodian holiday. The room is comfortable and the hotel was relatively quiet. I thought their breakfast was amazing and it was included with our stay so please don't miss it. Kimsinh was our main contact there and he was helpful the entire time. He helped organize tickets and dinner reservations. The hotel was undergoing renovations so we did not really enjoy that part of it however, We will look forward to checking out the changes when we come back

KKSea 14-Star Luxury Hotel for the Backpacker Price of $40/night!
The first thing you notice about Sokha Palace Siem Reap Hotel is just how pretty it is! The architect, painters, decorators and maintenance staff did a fabulous job (see my photos). The second thing you notice is how delicious the huge buffet is – including free espresso drinks. Third, you notice that the rooms are not only nice but that everything works well (aircon, hot water showers, refrigerator, wifi, and cable TV with news channels from a half dozen countries like CNN). Fourth, it is in a quiet location less than 15 minutes from Angkor Wat, and only a $2 tuktuk ride to Pub Street or anywhere else in Siem Reap.
But then you notice the best part: the outstanding hotel staff. For example, the Front Desk Manager Phyrun personally helped me when I could not make my room keycard work, and even brought me a bucket of ice. Originally I booked five nights during Chinese New Year with Trip.com discounts for $39/night, but he gave me a free upgrade from a garden view double with king bed to a pool view room. I liked it so much I wanted to extend, but the best I could find online was $41/night garden view, $51 for pool view. I asked Phyrun if I could get the upgrade again if I bought the $41 online, and he said no – but he smiled and said he would give it to me for $40/night the Khmer rate instead (normally $50 for barangs like me)!
The restaurant had other examples of great staff. Some days the restaurant is overflowing with several hundred guests, other days only a few dozen. Yet they maintain the quality and personal touch from the egg and soup station, to the bountiful buffet, to the waiters and waitresses that clear the tables. The Restaurant Manager Somedy and his Assistant Manager Chhaiya keep it all flowing smoothly. Even on the busiest day, waitress Chanthla took the time to show my Khmer friend’s elderly stepmom the way they fold the napkins. Today the espresso machine was not working for a while, so Chhaiya offered to have a waiter drive over to the sister hotel to bring me lattes. I repeatedly declined, but was very impressed by the excellent customer service attitude.
So the real beauty of this French chateau style hotel is its employees, including very efficient housekeeping and grounds staff. I checked out the “5-Star” Sokha Resort on the other side of its convention center, but did not like it half as much (especially for 70% more per night). Normally I would be afraid to write a review of a hotel that I like so much, but with 456 rooms I don’t have to worry about it being full. Do yourself a favor and stay here when in Siem Reap.

The first day breakfast was 15 minutes late, but luckily I wasn’t heading for the airport or anything. At the time of my stay there were offering 2 choices for breakfast, which were both delicious. The room came fully stocked with snacks as well as al pullover and Jon alcoholic drinks for cheap. Everything was around a dollar to a dollar twenty five. There is no elevator at this hotel. I was on the third floor and only had a carry-on luggage. Staff were pleasant and answered questions patiently.
