The staff were attentive, approachable, and consistently willing to assist us in organizing our trips around Siem Reap, making the overall experience hassle-free and enjoyable. A special shoutout to the Swiss owners who were genuinely amiable and made us feel warmly welcomed. As for the accommodations, the rooms in Sala Lodges were a delightful surprise. Each room bore discrete charm with its tasteful decoration, seamlessly blending traditional and contemporary elements. The authentic Khmer old houses are full of charm, yet modern and well preserved. The hotel’s kitchen offered a menu that might seem simple at a glance but was satisfyingly delightful upon tasting. Every dish we tried was prepared well, with fresh ingredients and flavors that are comforting yet exciting to the palate. The breakfast, in particular, deserves an extra note of praise for being consistently good, providing a delightful start to our days of exploration. Adding to the hotel’s allure was the inviting swimming pool, serving as a refreshing sanctuary after a day of touring the magical temples and vibrant markets of Siem Reap. During the wet season, the atmosphere around Sala Lodges was even more calming and soothing, with the soft sound of rain providing a comforting backdrop to our stay. To sum it up, our experience at Sala Lodges was nothing short of magical. From the excellent service to the beautifully appointed rooms and delightful meals, every aspect of the hotel contributed to a stay that was serene, comfortable, and absolutely enjoyable. Lub d sets the standard for what a modern hostel should be. I’m usually pretty picky about where I stay, but this place perfectly nails the balance between a social backpacker hub and a clean, upscale boutique hotel. The design is what caught my eye first. It has a super cool, industrial look with raw steel and minimalist spaces. The biggest game-changer for me was the bed setup. Instead of having to climb up a sketchy, creaky vertical ladder to get to the top bunk, they actually built solid wooden steps into the frame. The pods have thick blackout curtains and their own outlets, so you actually get decent privacy. Even the shared bathrooms feel high-end—super spacious, clean, and they even have hair straighteners.If you work remotely, the Wi-Fi is great and they have actual co-working areas where you can focus. When you're done, the social vibe centers around this awesome pool area. It’s incredibly easy to meet people, but it never feels like an obnoxious party hostel where you can't get any sleep. A huge bonus: they serve have spinning wheel that you can get prize on it~ I hope they will do this for every check-in and every extension, it is exciting to play. Because you can only play once. 😩 It’s right in the middle of everything, walking distance to the night markets and local food spots. If you want a place that’s spotless, well-designed, and social without being exhausting, look no further.

I was extremely satisfied with our stay and would wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone planning a trip to Cambodia. First and foremost, the service was exceptionally attentive. Despite being a bit of a distance from Pub Street, they offered free tuk-tuk service, which only required a reservation. Furthermore, whether we were checking in, checking out, or simply returning to the hotel for a short break, staff members would always greet us at the entrance with jasmine-scented cold towels and iced water. The dining experience was also unforgettable. The chef was particularly kind and engaging, always interacting with us after serving the food to ask if it was to our liking. On mornings when we had to rush for our itinerary, the hotel staff would proactively pack the food we needed, including two delicious iced coffees, which was incredibly thoughtful. Lastly, the in-room experience was fantastic. Even though air conditioning isn't common in many places in Siem Reap, the hotel consistently ensured our room was perfectly cool, making for a truly pleasant stay. I only wish I had brought more cash to give the staff more tips to thank them for their hard work and dedication.

I must give this hotel a big five-star rating! From the moment I stepped into the lobby until I checked out, the entire experience was absolutely perfect and completely exceeded my expectations. As soon as I walked in, the front desk staff greeted me warmly with friendly smiles. The check-in process was quick and efficient, and they also patiently informed me about the location of the hotel's facilities as well as recommendations for nearby attractions and restaurants, which made me feel very welcome right away. The room was even more of a pleasant surprise. The overall decor was simple yet elegant, and it was spotlessly clean—there wasn't a speck of dust even in the corners. What impressed me most was the bedding: the mattress was neither too hard nor too soft, and the quilt and pillows were fluffy and soft, with a great skin-friendly feel. As someone who's picky about beds, I actually slept soundly all night long. The bathroom featured a well-designed dry-wet separation layout, with a spacious and tidy vanity. The hot water came quickly and steadily, and the quality of the toiletries was good, making them very comfortable to use. The breakfast the next day was a delightful surprise too. The dining area was clean and bright, with an extremely rich variety of food. There was a wide selection of Chinese options like porridge and noodles, as well as Western choices such as bread, bacon, and fruits. All the ingredients were fresh, and they were replenished promptly, which could fully satisfy different taste preferences. My child wanted to eat instant noodles every noon, and the hotel restaurant staff kindly helped to make them—such a thoughtful gesture! This stay experience was truly flawless. I have already recommended the hotel to my friends, and I will definitely choose it again next time I come!

We were welcomed with complimentary juice and snacks upon arriving at the hotel. They had a scent reminiscent of Cambodia and were delicious. The room was cozy and comfortable. The hotel offered a variety of tours, which could be booked at the front desk by the day before, making it very convenient. We joined two tours arranged by the hotel, and both were fantastic. The price was also reasonable. Overall, we were very satisfied with both the services and the cost.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Embassy Angkor Wat Resort, and I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. From the moment we arrived, the staff impressed us with their professionalism, responsibility, and genuine warmth. Everyone was incredibly patient and attentive, always willing to help with a smile and making us feel truly welcomed and well taken care of. You can really feel that this hotel is run with heart, not just as a business. The room itself was excellent — spacious, clean, comfortable, and very well maintained. Considering the quality of the room, the service, and the overall experience, the value for money is outstanding. Embassy Angkor Wat Resort offers a level of comfort and service that easily exceeds expectations for its price range, making it one of the best value stays we have experienced on our trip. What truly sets this hotel apart is how generous and thoughtful the team is. They kindly offered us complimentary shuttle services, which made getting around extremely convenient and stress-free. Even more impressive, when we told them that we needed to wake up very early (around 4:30 a.m.) for our Angkor Wat sunrise visit, they thoughtfully prepared breakfast in advance for us. This level of care and flexibility is rare and deeply appreciated, especially when traveling. Every detail, big or small, was handled with care. The staff consistently went the extra mile to ensure our comfort and happiness, and their kindness made a lasting impression on us. Thanks to them, our stay in Siem Reap felt relaxed, smooth, and truly memorable. If you are looking for a hotel that combines excellent rooms, great value, responsible and patient staff, and genuinely generous service, Embassy Angkor Wat Resort is an outstanding choice. We would absolutely stay here again and will happily recommend it to friends and family without hesitation. This hotel deserves the highest possible rating on any travel platform.

Overall, it was very good. The staff were attentive and the hotel has its own massage services and restaurant. When there are fewer guests, breakfast is served as a set menu, but when it's busy, it's a buffet. The set menu is especially delicious.

Unfortunately, I didn’t take many photos during our stay as it wasn’t worthy. The hotel was okay, but the welcome was disappointing. After travelling for five weeks through Vietnam and Cambodia, this was the only hotel that didn’t offer a welcome soft drink or a particularly warm greeting, which set the tone for our stay. We had to wait for our room to be ready even at 2pm, so we spent some time by the pool. While the pool area was pleasant enough, the hotel overall is in need of updating. The photos on the website make it look far more modern and inviting than it actually is. In reality, the furniture, curtains, and interiors felt very dated and worn. Although the hotel was advertised at an 80% discount, I still feel that what we paid was slightly overpriced. In my opinion, this is more of a three-star property rather than a five-star hotel.

4-Star Luxury Hotel for the Backpacker Price of $40/night! The first thing you notice about Sokha Palace Siem Reap Hotel is just how pretty it is! The architect, painters, decorators and maintenance staff did a fabulous job (see my photos). The second thing you notice is how delicious the huge buffet is – including free espresso drinks. Third, you notice that the rooms are not only nice but that everything works well (aircon, hot water showers, refrigerator, wifi, and cable TV with news channels from a half dozen countries like CNN). Fourth, it is in a quiet location less than 15 minutes from Angkor Wat, and only a $2 tuktuk ride to Pub Street or anywhere else in Siem Reap. But then you notice the best part: the outstanding hotel staff. For example, the Front Desk Manager Phyrun personally helped me when I could not make my room keycard work, and even brought me a bucket of ice. Originally I booked five nights during Chinese New Year with Trip.com discounts for $39/night, but he gave me a free upgrade from a garden view double with king bed to a pool view room. I liked it so much I wanted to extend, but the best I could find online was $41/night garden view, $51 for pool view. I asked Phyrun if I could get the upgrade again if I bought the $41 online, and he said no – but he smiled and said he would give it to me for $40/night the Khmer rate instead (normally $50 for barangs like me)! The restaurant had other examples of great staff. Some days the restaurant is overflowing with several hundred guests, other days only a few dozen. Yet they maintain the quality and personal touch from the egg and soup station, to the bountiful buffet, to the waiters and waitresses that clear the tables. The Restaurant Manager Somedy and his Assistant Manager Chhaiya keep it all flowing smoothly. Even on the busiest day, waitress Chanthla took the time to show my Khmer friend’s elderly stepmom the way they fold the napkins. Today the espresso machine was not working for a while, so Chhaiya offered to have a waiter drive over to the sister hotel to bring me lattes. I repeatedly declined, but was very impressed by the excellent customer service attitude. So the real beauty of this French chateau style hotel is its employees, including very efficient housekeeping and grounds staff. I checked out the “5-Star” Sokha Resort on the other side of its convention center, but did not like it half as much (especially for 70% more per night). Normally I would be afraid to write a review of a hotel that I like so much, but with 456 rooms I don’t have to worry about it being full. Do yourself a favor and stay here when in Siem Reap.

Recently stayed at the Anjali hotel. Chose the hotel due to the nice pictures advertised. Overall, our stay was very average considering it isn't that cheap of a hotel. The hotel is quite dark, and our pool access room was smaller than anticipated. They don't provide slippers or toothbrush unless you request it. The mosquitos were also a problem (we left covered in bites). The swimming pool is also very cold, even in the Cambodian heat. Otherwise, the staff are friendly and attentive. They offer a free shuttle to the night market in the evenings (I guess because location isn't perfect). They also packed a breakfast-to-go for us before we went on our sunrise tours.
