one of the best hotel I have stayed, you have everything like 12 restaurants to eat and the pools and the place to do kayak and be on the ocean pools ara amazing its a nice resort with everything you can dream, amazing views and the restaurant the mercado san juan its amazing for breakfast its food all around Mexico you need a week to see the whole hotel, plus you have acces to all the parks of Xcaret we try the xenses and Xcaret at night its nice, everything for all the family better than the disneys resorts I think its one of the top 10 best hotels in the world, it has something for all kind of taste, from privacy to a lot of places for socialize. I will comeback again for longer stay its worth it.

The hotel is in the large park of Kaman Beach. There are many luxury hotels around. There are many golf courses. The hotel is a holiday nature and there are many recreational items. Please don't compare with the city business hotel. The balcony has bird droppings and the room has spiders. Normal, because the hotel is covered by the jungle, there are many flora and fauna, the breakfast is good, dinner is better, there are many restaurants and pools, the beach and sea are medium!

This review is long overdue, but we visited Secrets Maroma for the 3rd time in May. Once again this beautiful resort did not disappoint and keeps proving why we keep going back. This time we brought my brother in law and sister in law and they absolutely loved every minute of our trip. The rooms and grounds are as beautiful as ever. Everyone works so hard to keep it clean. One of the best things was seeing staff that was still here from our last trip 5 years ago. It was like going home to see old friends. Upon arrival we were greeted with a familiar smile by Daniel who handed us our cool towel and took care of our bags. Check in was very simple and we got to see another friend Paola who is now working in the front offices. While we were waiting for our rooms to be ready we went for lunch at Seaside and walked around the property. By the time we finished our rooms were ready and Vertiz our building concierge made sure we had everything we needed. Throughout the entire week Vertiz always checked on us and happily gave us anything we had asked for. Each morning we had no problem getting chairs by the pool and the concierges there were always helpful with getting setup. This is where we saw another familiar face, Bramdon. Always great to see him and meet his coworkers Francisco and Manny who always made sure we had our chairs and towels. We also had some great pool servers such as Alberto and Einar. The beach had some seagrass but they worked so hard from very early in the morning to clean it up. Now onto the food. Every meal we had was great and I could not say anything bad about any of the restaurants. The servers and managers at the restaurants are always checking to make sure everything is perfect. There are so many but a few we have to mention are Alba, Estela, Carlos, David at Seaside Grill and Juan the chef at Seaside for our special lunch he prepared with Alba on our last day, Pablo at Bordeaux, Alejandro, Lucio and Josua at Market Cafe, Luis the teppanyaki chef at Himitsu. Last but not least was the Entertainment Staff. They were so much fun and we got involved in so many of the activities because of them. Stephanie, Sebastian, Oscar, Sandy, David, Asdrubal, Memo and Matias thank you for making our trip extra special. So sad when you have to leave this wonderful resort but we will definitely be back.

Our stay was beautiful, I will not deny that. However it was not without a few letdowns. I am a woman who is all about a pool and was so excited to swim in the absolutely gorgeous pool I saw in all the photos online. I visited the week of Jan 1- Jan 7th and the weather was quite warm about 75 degrees every day. HOWEVER, the pool was absolutely FREEZING to the point where I was shivering being in it. Felt like an ICE BATH :( It was not enjoyable and with this being a secluded/ all inclusive hotel there weren't very much other forms of entertainment during the day except for the pool and the beach (the water was warm at the beach). It was so disappointing. I called the front desk to ask if anything could be done but they stated was no pool heater/temperature adjuster. We paid about 4 grand total for this trip and to be completely honest were only able to enjoy the pool once. My next complaint comes to the beach. We went to the beach which gets pretty bus. There was a day where every single chair was full and two of the hotel cabanas were being taken over by random street vendors - taking away two spots for the guests from the 100% packed beach area. These guys were NOT a part of the hotel and are the vendors who go around trying to sell cigars, etc. I watched the staff pass by them multiple times and say nothing while ACTUAL GUESTS had nowhere to lounge by the beach. That was very disappointing as these guys were laughing loudly, staring at guests, and did not move as people walked by looking for chairs. Other than that I will admit that the food was great, the staff was super nice, the hotel grounds were IMPECCABLE, the rooms were nice, everything else was quite lovely. But for the reasons listed I will not be staying at this all inclusive again, although you can still make the most of it and have a lovely experience overall. I'd recommend a stay if you're not going for the main reason of enjoying the pool and the beach.

I visited the El Dorado Maroma with my friend for a week in January 2023. Believe me, this is the best resort ever! I have stayed at many all-inclusive resorts in the Cancun/Riviera Maya area, and this resort outranks all others! The service is simply amazing, from the second you arrive until you have to leave. We absolutely loved Manuel at the beach, who greeted us each morning and walked out with us to help us find the perfect spot for the day. He didn’t just hand us our towels - he laid them out for us on the loungers or the bali bed chosen, then adjusted the umbrella so we could be in the shade, as we preferred. He then continued checking on us throughout the day and adjusting our umbrella as the sun moved. Talk about being pampered! He was wonderful! We also loved Little D (Diego) at the beach, who brought us drinks and made us smile - he seems so happy to be there! I can’t forget to mention the beach - it is the best beach of any resort I have stayed at! Clean, white sand, and so few people. That’s another great thing about this resort - no crowds!! It is small, quiet and relaxing. So peaceful! If you want a party resort, this is not it. It was perfect for us! Overall, you will not be sorry if you choose this resort!!! We loved it and will return again, hopefully soon, and hopefully with my hubby next time! I can’t wait to hear those wonderful friends tell me “Welcome Home”!

Overall we enjoyed our stay here. We came for a friend's wedding in October 2021, and will keep out wedding-specific items for this review. There are many activities in the complex, but we came to see friends, hang by the pool, eat and drink. Overall this fit the criteria. During this time, it was still very humid, but perfect for being in the pool (not necessarily a wedding outfit!) Room service is convenient, but not always fast, especially late at night. I think 2 hours+ one evening for us. The room service food was better than some of the restaurants in my opinion. We didn't go on the beach other than for a pre-wedding party. They go through COVID testing when you check in.

The good- staff seems to clean it. Pool nice. The not so good- cold showers, food, noise level from highway. Dates of visit- 12/25-12/30. They don’t have blankets on the bed, only sheets and when I asked for a blanket they said they don’t have them. They didn’t have enough beach towels for our family any day we were there and you are expected to keep the same sandy wet towel for your entire stay. We were told to hang them up to dry. I cut my foot on accident and asked for a bandaid and they didn’t even have one. They have no hot water. I got three rooms and none of had hot water. They told me to let the water run for about 20 minutes each time, but in never got beyond warm and wasted immense amounts of water. The room was cute. The bed not comfortable. The main thing I didn’t like was the air conditioner is either on or off. It doesn’t have like a normal setting that runs and shuts off and then turns on. It’s either on or off, running all night and condensing dripping into a puddle on the night stand and bed area. It is close to xplor which is why I chose it, but if you want to go to town the taxi is spotty at best. It kinda sits alone in the side of the road. I felt safe there and allowed my teen kids to get two rooms and didn’t worry about their safety, but overall, I wouldn’t recommend due to no hot water, blankets, towels, and terrible food.

Resort: Eldorado Casita’s Room: Beachfront Casita Booked this trip as a birthday present to my wife. This resort came as a recommendation from our travel agent who booked our destination wedding earlier this year. Our day of arrival was as about typical for any resort. The staff greets you, gets your bags, gives you a cold towel, offers you a drink. We were put into a golf cart and brought over to the Casita’s lounge to check in. Check-in was pretty normal, you meet your concierge, give the security deposit (the security deposit was $500, I feel like that was high but I couldn’t remember what we’ve paid at other resorts.) after you finish checking in, the concierge pulls out a paper map and begins to give you a quick overview of the resort circling things on the map and writing out what they are, this place is MASSIVE, bring sneakers because you will be doing a lot of walking. According to the signage on the walking path along the beach it’s over 3 miles long. After our meeting with the concierge we were brought to our room by the bell hop and settled in. The Room: I booked this stay through capital one as our travel agent didn’t have anymore “beachfront casitas” available to them to book. I really enjoyed the concept of the casitas, 10-16 rooms in a semi circle with a pool and pool bar in the middle( you can see them from Google maps) . The pool was never super crowded and allowed you to stay away from the party pool if you wanted. The room itself could use some updating (according to the internet the resort was built in 2000) the plumbing and electrical fixtures have seen their time (caulk is king in the plumbing department here) a paint job and more modern lighting would really help lighten the place up and create a more inviting space. As for cleanliness though, the room was clean, housekeeping was very good. The food: Dinner requires a reservation every night which can be made through the website they set you up with at check-in. As with a trip or a stay anywhere you have to have an expectation of what the food is going to be like. For the price point I wasn’t expecting Michelin star, but I wasn’t expecting old country buffet either but somewhere right in the middle is about par for the course at one of these resorts. Other than our first day lunch at the Thai restaurant, the rest of the food was a big disappointment. The Sante Fe Tex-Mex restaurant was subpar, the Italian restaurant was ok, not typical Italian cuisine like you would find the in US. We used the room service multiple times this trip and found it was one of the better room services. Food selection wasn’t huge but the portions were better and it came in a timely manner (usually 30-45 minutes. I’ve waited hours at some resorts) The buffets were ok, they had a smaller selection than I anticipated. The Mexican restaurants were only open for breakfast and not lunch and dinner. The only available Mexican food could be found at the small buffet all the way tucked in
