The breakfast was average. Because of the airport pick-up, the hotel arranged for someone to wait for me to check in at midnight, which can be said to be very considerate.

Terrible traffic noise kept us awake most of the night The hotel do provide earplugs by the side of the bed didn’t really work. woke up in the morning and no hot water couldn’t have a shower. had a lovely breakfast brought to us condiments had been partly used. Overall the room was very nice, though wouldn’t return.

Beautiful boutique hotel lovely decor very comfortable bed and a great nights sleep. The check in was easy and they let us check in early free of charge. Breakfast is only continental as they obviously haven’t got facilities to cook or a dining area but was sufficient. They supply a free mini bar which consists of two small bottles of wine two cokes and water plus Pringles which was a nice touch. There are also bath robes and slippers we would stay again

It’s a lovely hotel! Sky lite with retractable shades really nice. Bathrooms perfect, even with working towel warmers, satisfying an often pet peeve. Bed lovely. Reception staff helpful and friendly. Breakfast is continental in a box—the pastries were just fine. If you’re looking for a more traditional English breakfast, there’s a place at most 5 minutes walk away. It’s a bit away from the quay, 30 minutes walk or a £10 cab fare, but a 15 minute walk to the train station. I would easily stay here again

Everything was topnotch. We truly enjoyed our stay. The linens and bed were high quality and comfortable. Very clean. Loved, loved.The delivered breakfast the next morning was thoughtful and delicious. The staff was attentive and helpful. We were traveling for a cruise, so our luggage was heavy. While there was no elevator, it didn't matter. The receptionist carried our bags for us. She was so personable and helpful. If we cruise out of Southampton again, we will be back.

This was the first time we have stayed here. We found the room was beautifully decorated with many quirky features. All very tasteful. The bed was very comfortable and the pastries were a very welcome breakfast. We had call to contact Reception for missing crockery but they responded very quickly

My husband booked a 3-night stay for me and my small assistance dog at a non-refundable rate for £691.91. I traveled from Stockport to Southampton by train. During the journey, I felt unwell, missed my stop at Southampton Central, and had to take another train back. I was scheduled to meet a new friend at the station; noticing my condition, she quickly went to fetch some painkillers and sent her boyfriend to assist me with my luggage to the hotel. At check-in, the receptionist asked for my ID and inquired if the man was staying with me. I responded no. While awaiting my friend's return with the medication, I asked her boyfriend to wait briefly. However, the receptionist mistakenly informed my husband that I had checked in with another man and a white dog, causing him undue alarm. Despite my clarifications and my husband’s efforts to resolve the misunderstanding, the receptionist maintained her incorrect version of events. This misunderstanding escalated into unnecessary drama and a significant argument, prompted by the receptionist’s unfounded accusations. Consequently, my husband and I decided I should return home early. Despite having paid for the room, the manager refused to refund the unused nights, adhering to the non-refundable policy and disregarding the distress caused by her staff. Attempts by *********** to contact her by phone and email regarding a refund for the distress and inconvenience were also ignored. This establishment lacks the amenities typical of a five-star hotel, such as a lobby, bar, or restaurant. Given this, it is difficult to understand their claim to a five-star rating, especially when compared to established luxury hotels like the Four Seasons, Mandarin Oriental, and Ritz-Carlton, or even local boutique five-star hotels. As the manager continues to ignore our emails, we are considering legal action due to the considerable inconvenience caused by the inexperienced receptionist, which led to an early checkout and unnecessary strain on our relationship.

A superb boutique hotel in a great location. Our room was very comfortable and included everything we wanted for a short stay. The welcome and check in experience was exceptional. Breakfast is a continental breakfast delivered on time to your room, so nice to start the day with breakfast in bed.
