The hotel is just a few minutes' walk from a private beach🏖️, where the jelly-like sea is uncrowded and peaceful. You can wake up early and head downstairs to catch a breathtaking ocean sunrise, and shell collecting on the reef flats is super fun. The hotel facilities are excellent, with an outdoor pool and a huge kids' club. There are also plenty of parent-child activities, making it very hassle-free for families traveling with children. If you're lucky, you might even get a glimpse of the aerospace launch site🚀. The overall experience was great, but the coastal climate is a bit humid, and lower-floor rooms can feel stuffy. I specifically booked a high-floor ocean view room in advance, which was a little better, but there was still some dampness! "This hotel was a pleasant surprise for me. As a beachfront hotel, it's rare for an older property to be outstanding, given the constant battle with sea breezes and typhoons, unless it's perpetually undergoing renovations. Let's start with the pros: 1️⃣ The room was very clean, not a speck of dust anywhere. My child loves to touch and crawl everywhere, and even after wiping surfaces with wet wipes, they remained spotless. 2️⃣ When I reported an odd smell in the room, they responded quickly with a solution. Several staff members even followed up to ensure the issue was resolved, which was highly impressive. 3️⃣ The breakfast offered a wide variety. We booked a family room, which included breakfast for two adults. When my 80-year-old relative joined us at the restaurant, they didn't charge us for an extra person, which was a very thoughtful touch. 4️⃣ Many hotels push for good reviews, but this one didn't at all. Giving them a positive review truly feels like a genuine act of kindness, yet their service was exceptional. Every staff member I encountered was incredibly friendly, enthusiastic, and helpful. Big points for Wenchang! Cons: 1️⃣ The hotel facilities are a bit dated. For example, the balcony door was a bit stiff, and there were noticeable gaps around the room door. 2️⃣ The complimentary travel photography was difficult to review. 3️⃣ The family-friendly amenities could be improved. 4️⃣ The beach wasn't maintained, but it was very close and uncrowded."
