The hotel left a very pleasant impression. The grounds are beautifully decorated for the New Year holidays, and the atmosphere is calm and cozy. The staff are attentive and friendly; check-in was smooth and hassle-free. The room has everything needed for a comfortable stay. Slippers, bathrobes, a small hairdryer, a tea set, a mini-bar, and toothbrushes are provided. All amenities are replenished daily, and housekeeping is regular and thorough. Breakfasts are substantial and varied. There are seasonal fruits, good coffee, scrambled eggs, as well as some Filipino national dishes. Vegetarian options and separate items for children are available, which is very convenient. The location is unique. There's practically nothing nearby, but that's a big plus. Thanks to this, the beach is quiet, uncrowded, and very peaceful, perfect for a relaxed and secluded getaway.

This hotel is located on Doljo Beach, and it's wonderfully quiet. The water is crystal clear and calm, perfect for a relaxing vacation 🏖️. In the mornings, during low tide, you can go beachcombing and find lots of starfish, sea urchins, blue crabs, hermit crabs, and small fish. From midday onwards, it's an excellent spot for snorkeling, with plenty of clownfish to see. The hotel itself is great, both in terms of facilities and service. The decor is new and features a stylish Nordic design. The staff are all incredibly nice, very responsive to any requests, and they offer a delicious welcome drink. While the breakfast isn't extensive, it covers all the basic essentials. Getting to Alona Beach by 'tutu' (tricycle) costs 200P and takes about 15 minutes. I absolutely love this hotel.

Overall a normal hotel, the most adequate in price of all on the first line, breakfasts are small, but always different. BUT there is a big minus, this is the beach, Alona Beach is a beach for divers, you will not get a beach holiday here, the whole beach is in boats and yachts, even if you go to the beach of the Henana hotel, there is also not super beautiful water and sand. We did not know that this is a divers' beach. Otherwise we would have stayed in Cebu to continue our holiday.

We had a pleasant stay at Cliffside Resort, a place that truly stands out for its stunning view and its very peaceful atmosphere, perfect for relaxing and unwinding. The room was clean, although a few small details could be improved, such as the drawers, which were not properly cleaned. Most of the staff were very welcoming and smiling, which created a warm and friendly environment. A few team members were a bit less friendly, so the experience felt slightly inconsistent, but overall the staff were lovely. The food was very good, and so were the cocktails, which made our meals enjoyable. However, the timing of the service really needs improvement. It became almost funny: one of us would get their meal, eat it calmly… and the other would be served 30 minutes later — sometimes almost an hour later. It’s a strange and quite awkward situation, because you don’t really get to eat together. Back in France, this would never happen, so it was really surprising. Despite this issue, we overall had a positive stay, with an exceptional setting and lots of potential for an even better experience.

The location is a pleasant 10-minute walk (straight down the road) to Dumaluan Beach. The grounds are green and well-maintained. Beach towels and hygiene kits (soap, brush, toothpaste) are provided. The room has a safe, refrigerator, kettle, and TV. The Wi-Fi works well. There's a clothes rack with plenty of hangers. On the room's porch, there's a table and a couple of chairs. The hotel team is amazing, the best out of the five hotels we stayed at in the Philippines: all issues were resolved instantly. They even escorted us to our pre-booked airport transfer at 5 AM, which we arranged through reception. They also organized a Bohol tour for us in a private car with a driver for 3000 pesos (there are many tour and transfer options available, all information is displayed in the reception area). There's a cafe on site. Service is fast, and everything is delicious. Massage services are also available. As for the downsides: the room provided didn't match the photos in the booking. What was most disappointing was the air conditioning (the photo showed a split AC, but in reality, it was a wall-mounted unit that roared so loudly for the first two nights that even earplugs didn't help. They cleaned it later, and it got quieter, but it still blows very loudly – on the upside, you can't hear the neighbors or the roosters outside!). The beds are uncomfortable (a hard plywood base with a rather thin mattress covered in faux leather and a sheet. The feeling is exactly as you'd imagine). There were also issues with the toilet flush. There are a lot of mosquitoes, because of them, we only used the cafe once, it's difficult to be outside. In summary: for the price offered, it's a great option. The question is whether to overlook the negatives or pay more for comfort.

In general, everything corresponds to the photo, but there are nuances. It’s not clear from the photo, but in fact there is catastrophically little light both during the day (a small window!, and in the evening there is not enough artificial light. This gives the feeling that you are in some kind of basement. Comfort - everything seems to be there, but personally I missed a lot of little things that create comfort. For example, in the bathroom there is no place where you can put bath accessories, in the shower area there is a small soap dish, and in the sink area there are no shelves or anything like that. There are a lot of sockets, but the chargers dangle in them, so you have to constantly check whether the charge is on or not. There is no breakfast even for an additional fee. Things can only be hung on a hanger along the wall, i.e. they will all be on top of each other. The best smell! A very chemical smell that makes it impossible to stay in the room. The employees were never able to explain where it came from, citing that it was hot and therefore (but it’s not Russia, so it’s cold in February, it’s always hot there, so this explanation is much strange), the second version is treatment for mosquitoes (it’s more like the truth, but the staff couldn’t answer how safe it was to breathe it), I was simply offered to imitate the air freshener). I think it’s still the poor quality of the materials and in the heat that’s why it starts to smell so bad. The hotel has its advantages: each house has its own terrace, a large courtyard with lots of greenery, pleasant staff.

To sum it up, I was extremely satisfied! We were a group of four couples, university friends, and we stayed in two Zen Villas. Each Zen Villa has two bedrooms, a living room, and a kitchen, with a bathroom in every room, so it was perfectly comfortable for two couples. The large dining table was great for all eight of us to gather and socialize every evening. They even provided a microwave, induction cooktop, cutlery set, and refrigerator, which was fantastic – we were able to cook seaweed soup for a friend's birthday! The swimming pool was large enough for ball games, and the exotic trees and landscaping throughout the resort were absolutely beautiful. I'll never forget the sunset on the first day. Even after the sun went down, the sky transformed into various shades of red for a long time... it was truly magnificent. Even on a rainy day, the bamboo bridge through the mangrove forest was incredibly atmospheric. When they heard it was our friend's birthday, they even prepared a lovely little cake with a birthday message! Plus, on our last day, after our tour, we got free access to the Oceanica Day Use facilities. For breakfast, you just fill out a form the night before at the lobby, specifying your menu, preferred time, and whether you want room service, dining at the restaurant, or a packed meal. The food and desserts were clearly made with care, and every meal was a delight. A big thank you to all the resort staff! ^^

We needed a seamless place to stay for a single night, and this hotel exceeded all expectations. Check-in was incredibly fast, and the staff was welcoming from the moment I walked through the door.The Room: Immensely clean, quiet, and equipped with a very comfortable bed for a great night's sleep.The Location: Superb and highly accessible, which maximized my limited time in the area.The Service: Efficient and professional, making checkout just as smooth as arrival.The Value: Excellent quality and comfort, even for a brief visit.Though it was just a quick one-night stop, the experience was memorable. I would absolutely stay here again!

I had originally booked a swim-up room for three nights, from February 6th to 8th. However, due to a typhoon, the Cebu to Bohol ferry was suspended. I tried to negotiate with the hotel to get a refund for the first night (Feb 6th), but they were incredibly rigid and refused to budge. In the end, Trip.com refunded me for that night. I then extended my stay for an additional night on the 9th. Honestly, after checking in, I'd say it's a hotel with good value for money. It's a bit of a walk to the beach, so you'll need to take a tuk-tuk, which costs 100 PHP per ride. The entire hotel seemed to be filled with Korean guests... The breakfast was simple but sufficient to fill you up.

The hotel is located in an isolated place, so it is very convenient to rent a bike or a tricycle to get to the town or to the nearest restaurant. There is a small private beach, but there are a lot of plants and a lot of boats. I loved the service - you can call the massage or manicure master, grab a drink at the beach bar, lie down near the beach and enjoy the service. They also provided me a bike rent with delivery. The room is in zebra style - very nice and comfy. The only thing I disliked - the room is very small, it is basically tiny, though it had a terrace which a view of the hotel stairs which I found useless.
