Shuixieshanshe Homestay is a relatively new lodging started by a young couple. The room we stayed in was clean and bright. The room's temperature can be adjusted accordingly, and there is a warm shower that is strong even when 3-4 people use it consecutively. The lodging is value for money and the young couple managing it goes out of the way to make the place homely and comfortable for the guests. The owner provides complimentary pick-up and drop-off at the Hengshan West Railway station. My elderly mom was ill during the trip and the owner went out of the way to send us to the TCM clinic. We extended our stay for another day due to the kindness and courtesy of the owners. Shuixieshanshe Homestay is within 5 minutes of walking distance to the Grand Temple of Mount Heng ( Nányuè Dàmiào) which makes it an excellent base from which to explore Mount Heng (衡山)

When checking in, the boss patiently introduced me to the surrounding attractions, food and the best route to the Nanyue Temple. I could buy incense directly in the store and he would take me to worship! The meticulous and thoughtful service is really a plus. When I walked into the booked room, my eyes lit up. The room is warmly and elegantly decorated, full of local cultural characteristics, and every detail shows the care of the B&B owner. The bed is soft and comfortable, the bedding is clean and tidy, and I feel especially at ease sleeping. The windows provide excellent lighting, the bathroom is spotlessly clean, and the toiletries are fully stocked and of very good quality. The public areas of the B&B are equally amazing. There is a restaurant with tables and chairs, as well as a small leisure area that provides books and some entertainment facilities. Even if you don't go out, you can spend a pleasant time here. When it comes to location, this B&B is in a great position. It is only a few minutes' walk from Nanyue Temple, making travel very convenient. After visiting the temple, you can quickly return to the B&B to rest without having to travel too much. There are also many restaurants around. This stay at [Happiness Lane] was a great experience. The location of the homestay is also super convenient. It is just behind the temple. If you want to burn incense and worship Buddha, you can go to the first floor to find your grandmother to buy incense. The price is really convenient. Because there is a short distance from the main road, the noise is very small, the view outside the window is good, if you come by car, you can contact the boss to reserve a parking space. This price is really the best homestay I have ever stayed in! If I insist on the shortcomings, I can live for a day, and I will have the opportunity to come with my friends in the future, and I will stay here!

We entered the temple and the explanation was very detailed. The room we stayed in was really clean and had a separate bathroom. It was hard not to like the style, especially. The transportation here is very convenient. It is only a 5-minute walk from Nanyue Temple. There is a food street next to it. I have come to Wanshou Plaza to watch the Olympics together in the evenings and enjoy the cool air. The atmosphere is super good. I really think it is good. I will come again next time.

A whole row of homestays, I am very fortunate to choose ”Xisu” The hotel is warm and clean. I chose a rare family suite, 1.8m big bed + two 1.5 beds, bring grandparents and children, three big and one small travel. The boss picks up the plane, recommends restaurants, late breakfast, and delicious sour beans! Super like! ! That's right! And sweet potatoes are also crispy and delicious! I will definitely stay next time.

This hotel is a few km away from Nanyue area where the popular Nanyue Temple 南岳大庙 is located. However, public bus ¥6/way is available in front of the hotel. Bus ride is about 30-45min. After Temple visit, exit through the back gate and start the hiking to Hengshan. Recommend to take a mini bus ¥40/way（中巴）up to Nantian Gate 南天门, from there hike to the peak and walk down on foot. Total steps 37k. There is a KFC next to hotel. Hotel staff is friendly and helpful. In general, quite a reasonable stay.
