Amazing experience in this ryokan! Felt very warmly welcomed by the owner who would come out to send us off or receive us when we entered or exited. Also received a welcome cake from him!
Rooms were comfortable and the private onsen experience was really luxurious. Easy drive out to see the attractions we wanted to in Hakone.

Posted on Jul 12, 2026|Bed In Kagotoko (shared Dormitory For Men And Women) (Mixed Gender)
Guest UserProbably my favourite place I have stayed while traveling. I stayed in a shared room, which was very quiet but designed not to look like prison but actually comfortable. The ”capsule” has good amout of space and privacy.
My favourite part was the shared spaces such as the lounge/kitchen area and onsen. The kitchen is well equipped and has amenities you’d never think of having, like the machine for making shaved ice and coffee brewers. It is very comfortable and has great atmosphere and great views outside. The onsen was amazing as well, with two kinds of pools outdoor and indoor available. The onsen looks and feels amazing. It opens from early morning to midnight, which gives flexible time to go take a bath.
Overall great place to stay, next to a bus stop and a little walk to the Hakone Tozan railway. Konbini few minutes away, bakery, italian restaurant and couple shrines next to it.

Nadia BadminovaVery good service for an affordable price. I stayed two nights in female dormitory, the bed is spacious even the top one,I was provided with towels and a kimono-style robe, which was very comfortable. There are two private onsens in the inn, you can reserve any of them the day before. Also, there is a small kitchen with cooks, you can order a breakfast and a dinnir a la carte, which is very convenient. The only downside is that you have to bring the luggage uphill when checking in, but it is not a problem when checking out because there is a free transfer provided each morning to the Gora station.

This is one of the best experience I have ever had! A very friendly owner + impeccable service. They offer pick-up drop-off services at togendai and oishishita, and when I asked whether they can drop off the luggage at Gora they said yes!!! Saved me so so much time!!
Great room, not the most luxurious but definitely comfy. Be aware there is no private showers though. But needless to say, when theres an onsen why would you need a private shower!
The onsen is great in a sense that since it's a small hotel, there was rarely anybody. It's almost like a private onsen. The water temperature of the inner one is just right, but the outdoor one, when it's snowing is quite cold. Also, the outdoor onsen had some debris as well. So the quality of the onsen isnt top notch but for the price, it's already way above my expectations. (Also you can see mount fuji as you are enjoying the onsen!)
Only downside is the location. When they offer very good pick-up and drop off services, the luggage system from the railway doesn't include this hotel. This forced me to start the trip at togendai (you could ask then to simply pick up your luggage). Not a big problem if I have known this beforehand, but I had to change plans and get on the pirate ship first, so be aware!!
Overall. 10/10 experience. Good price, good room, excellent service. Would come again definitely!!

fjanen*The guest villa was nice, clean, and comfortable.*
We had a small issue at check-in though. The check-in email only came in at 4:30 PM, but we arrived at 3:00 PM. Plus our room was changed from 201 to 101, so the code we got didn’t work. Luckily the staff was there when we arrived and helped us check into the new room quickly.
*Facilities:*
Washing machine is paid - 6kg for 400 Yen. Dryer is 100 Yen for 30 mins but clothes don’t get fully dry, so we still had to hang them out. The drying area is small but clean enough. Bathroom was clean too and overall facilities are good. I love the shower, Handheld shower head
*Location:*
Great spot, close to the station and a 7-Eleven convenience store.
So sorry, I forgot take photos. Beds are comfortable, tpp

We really loved the onsen and the hotel itself. The man gave us a tour with a Russian translator for added convenience! We only stayed there for one day, but it was wonderful! The views are stunning, the bus stop is nearby, everything was great.

It is an old house, a restaurant on the first floor, a kitchen on the second floor, three bedrooms, a dry and wet separation bathroom, a toilet, five minutes walk from Yumoto Station, 711, lawson are very close, self-service check-in is super convenient, that is, the room is cold, the bedroom can be very warm, the bathroom is very cold, Next to the mountaineering line, you can see this homestay when you take the morning ride. In addition, the surrounding restaurants have a short business hours. If you can't arrive early, you can go to the supermarket to buy fast food. It is also delicious.

The hotel staff (of Chinese descent) were very warm and welcoming. My group stayed in the hotel's largest room. The room is divided into two large sections, and the partitions between the rooms can be opened, making it comfortable for mixed-gender groups. The room facilities were also quite comfortable, except for the lack of hot water from the faucet. In addition, the interior of the hotel gave the impression of being reminiscent of the bubble era, making it a very Japanese hotel. Meanwhile, many of the hotel staff were foreigners, making it seem like a comfortable place for inbound tourists from East Asia and elsewhere to stay.
Overall, I would rate it ”very satisfied.”

We loved this hotel, it is much more mono in reality than in photos. All very clean and careful. They have private bathrooms, two indoors and two outdoors. Very clean and with everything necessary (gel, shampoo, conditioner, hair dryer, etc.). The hotel was very comfortable and very comfortable. You can borrow shoes, yukatas (those also to go to the outer bathroom), parachutes, and take cold or hot water and tea.
The room had a table, a balcony with a refrigerator, another table next to the window and washing machine. We didn't pass anything cold since there were a lot of coats and a air pump.
The hotel is very comfortable and the hotel is very comfortable and very comfortable. There was a restaurant right in front of the small but very rich and well-priced restaurant that opens up to 10 pm.
Given that it was one of the cheapest options in Hakone for dates and with the possibility of enjoying onsen in private, we thought it was very good.
