Mesmerizing hotel! As soon as we stepped inside, we immediately felt so relaxed. Everything in this hotel contributes to giving it a very peaceful and quiet atmosphere, from the super friendly and accommodating staff to the slow-paced breakfast and the sea view from the bedroom. This is a new hotel and the equipment is very modern and elegant (bathroom, toilet, walls) and the bedding is extremely comfortable, including super pajamas! The breakfast is served at 7:30am or 8:30am with Japanese and Western options available. They also offer dinner options with a few hours' notice. There is a bus stop nearby but it's definitely better to have a car as it seemed difficult to walk around and find beaches/restaurants, though that also makes the place very quiet and relaxing. Excellent value for money, we browsed a lot of options and this might be the best one if you do not want to go for a resort-style hotel.

The sea was right in front of me and the facilities were so nice. Everyone in the neighborhood was friendly and kind. The mart is far away, so it would be better to buy things by rental car and cook. I think the sea is more suitable for stepping on your feet than swimming

I chose this guesthouse because the price was ideal and it looked beautiful in the pictures. Staying here turned out to be an amazing experience, and it's a wonderful guesthouse. First off, the location is superb. It's a short walk from the bus terminal, which is the last stop for buses from the airport. The ferry terminal for trips to the remote islands is also nearby. Right in front, there's Ishigaki Village, a place with restaurants and standing bars. Pretty much everything else was within walking distance too. The owner, Shingo-san, is very kind, and you can tell he genuinely wants guests to have a good time. They had events like BBQ and curry (or ”Yuntaku” as they call it?) for guests to enjoy, all offered at a very reasonable price. Of course, participation was optional, and you could choose whether or not to eat. It's a great option for budget travelers, and getting to meet and befriend travelers from various countries was the best part! The dormitory room was exactly as pictured – clean and comfortable. Thanks to the minimal rules, there were no unpleasant experiences, I guess. Even as a first-timer in Ishigaki Island, I got lots of tips and was even taken to places. It made for wonderful memories. I'm glad I chose this place!

Great owner, but cleanliness is a 3 due to some guests being inconsiderate with their bags and slippers (worn outside). The floors are not wiped daily. There is a supermarket and bus station right in front of the property, but it is a 20min walk to the port and 30mjn bus to the airport. Lots of amenities (kitchen is stocked with everything, and beach tools available to rent for a fee) Bring your own toiletries and towel.

The single room I live in is small and well-equipped with common household appliances, including a washing machine, gas stove, microwave, oven, rice cooker, kettle, etc. If you are willing, you can go to the nearby market to buy materials to start your own business. With a small balcony and clothes drying equipment, the scenery outside is great. You can walk up the bridge. There is a small viewing area in the center of the bridge, where you can see the whole port. The neighborhood is relatively deserted and there are not many businesses. However, Ishigaki itself is very small. It only takes 10 minutes to walk to the area with the public market as the core, and there is a FamilyMart and a duty-free shop 3 minutes downstairs. It's about a 10-minute walk to Ishigaki Port, from where you can take a boat to other outlying islands. There is a pier not far downstairs, where people fish at night, and there is also a fishing gear shop. Anyone who is interested can try it.
