"Facilities: No hot water for showering, tap water was salty, and soundproofing was mediocre. The room was quite small.
Cleanliness: The hygiene was acceptable, and it was cleaned quite well.
Environment: There's a pool downstairs, and the overall style is pretty nice, but the surrounding area is quite run-down.
Service: Someone helped with luggage, there's a shuttle bus to the pier, and breakfast included bread and instant coffee, plus you could choose one freshly made item. You can rent a motorbike for 300B until check-out time."

Amazing
AAlisaDPerfect getaway for a couple days, to be in the quiet and beautiful place. Deluxe rooms look new and modern, and personal roof terrace for each room makes the stay comfortable and relaxing. Soft sunbeds on the terrace and roof, covering from direct sun, let us stay at the place the whole day - we even did not go to the beach one day. We had the beautiful seaview from our terrace and we even could swim in the sea from the hotel’s private pier (it has usable ladder, which goes directly to the deep water).
The staff was really kind and attentive, helped us with all our “specific” requests. If you stay here for the New Year night - it’s also the perfect place to watch the main island’s fireworks show at midnight! We enjoyed it! Absolutely recommended!
LLaiaaaaI really enjoyed my stay here. The staff are so friendly and helpful they organised transport for me every day to different beaches and around the island.
The pool is lovely and you can walk to a beach nearby but in general all the beaches are a short drive away.
They serve a nice breakfast and the rooms are huge and very clean and the baths are lovely!!
I will definitely come back.
GGuest UserWe stayed on Koh Larn for two nights after a long time in Pattaya and before heading back to Bangkok.
Samanta by the Sea was a great find, and we enjoyed our stay very much.
The room was a great size, and it was even better that the hotel was only 5 min (walking) from the pier.
We were greeted by the owner and shown around. His friendliness and happiness were astonishing and so genuine.
Getting free noodles, bread, and coffee 24/7 was a lovely touch, too.
We can only recommend Samanta by the Sea and will stay here heapily again.
YY003Very aesthetically pleasing hotel and the swimming pool is great, sun until 5pm-ish, comfortable bed and spacious room. The staff is very welcoming and kind. We had a request regarding a room change and they were able to accommodate us. The breakfast was good and with enough options. They offer scooter rentals and a shuttle service from and to the port.
Be aware this hotel has a lot of steps, if you are physically challenged, I would not recommend it. Other than that it’s located in a quiet part of the island but very central which makes it feel even more of a good getaway hotel.
GGuest UserExcellent hotel. Probably the best on this beach. And even though I didn't particularly enjoy Koh Larn island due to the crazy daytime hustle and bustle, this hotel totally saved my mood. Wonderful guest welcome, amazing pool area, their own free sun loungers on the beach, and a fantastic breakfast delivered to the room. Trust me, it's worth paying a little more than at neighboring hotels for that feeling of exclusivity.
SShmulkerWe loved the hotel in many ways. We'll be happy to book it again on our next visit to the island.
The hotel is located on the beachfront, with its own private beach, where you'll find sun loungers and umbrellas.
If you tire of the sea, you can relax in the pool.
Reception will provide you with a towel for the beach or pool.
There are no hotels nearby, and the hotel itself is located some distance from the main beach, so it's quiet and peaceful, especially after 5:00 PM (the last ferry departs from the island).
For your convenience, a transfer (included in the price) from the pier to the hotel and back is provided.
Also, for easy transportation around the island, one moped is provided per room with 1 liter of gas included. You can also visit the store or the night market and buy items not found on the hotel menu.
I've attached a photo of the breakfast menu.
The staff was helpful, and everything was promptly arranged and provided upon our request.
Cocktails at the bar are 250 baht. Happy hour is from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, with two cocktails for the price of one (limited selection).
Come and enjoy a seaside getaway at a hotel with a stunning view and location.
SSakuramodThe property is centrally located on the island. Motorbikes are available for rent at 300 THB, though the one we received seemed to have been in a prior accident, making it difficult to ride as it constantly pulled to the left. The location is convenient, with restaurants within walking distance, and a shuttle service is also provided.
The bedroom and bathroom were clean, but the bathroom did have a slight drain odor. The room itself had no offensive smell, but wasn't particularly fresh-smelling either. The bathroom floor was quite slippery, so caution was needed when walking. The wall-mounted shower had very weak water pressure; a standard shower head would be a significant improvement. Interestingly, the water pressure at the sink and from the bidet sprayer was strong.
The room lighting was rather dim and yellowish. The TV was unusable due to intermittent signal (this was in our family room).
Breakfast included congee, bread, coffee, and Ovaltine.
DDouglas Mc DougallNice location near the pier, although you need to wind between some alleyways.
The view, as shown in the website photos, is not quite what you get.
Lovely breakfast, made to order.
Room and bathroom are both clean and comfortable.
Scooters are available for hire at the premises.
GGuest UserWe stayed here for 11 days, during this time the room was cleaned twice, when the water/toilet paper/coffee ran out we had to beg the owner. The hotel is 2.5 km from Monkey Beach, 700 meters from Bali Hai Pier, there are many cafes/shops nearby. You can ask the owner for a bike (300) and a taxi (100). At night the music from the cafes is blaring, everything would be fine, but the singers are tone-deaf. It's nice to sit outside, but there are a lot of flies, ants and mosquitoes.
The garden is beautiful in autumn,
GGuest UserThe hotel is located close to the pier. Check-in is strictly at 2 PM. However, you can leave your luggage and head to the beach, rent a sun lounger for 100 baht and stay there all day, as they say, but only until 4 PM. The area is beautiful, of course, with azure waters. There's a 7/11 near the hotel. You can rent a bike for 200 baht, also said to be for the whole day, but we didn't try it. What I want to say about the hotel itself is that we paid around 4-something for it, but it's not worth the money. Upon check-in, it was quite dirty, and the towel smelled awful; they replaced it with a clean one. The room has soap, shampoo, body wash, two bottles of water, and that's it. There are also two doors leading to different parts of the hotel. In the morning, I woke up to something crawling terrifyingly from one part of the room to another and got incredibly scared. A little later, I realized it was something running on the ceiling. After that, I couldn't fall back asleep. Thank goodness my husband woke up, and I felt a bit calmer.
