Great
EEmmanuel HemmerléI was going to arrive late in the evening last night so I wrote the hotel to enquire about transportation from the airport to the hotel. They told me very diligent it and precisely about their shuttle service. When I arrived at the hotel, the desk person, a Swiss gentleman, was extremely hospitable, friendly, authentic, detailed in a good sense, helpful and professional. He also helped me book a taxi for the next day. What a great way to welcome a guest. Really best practice. Lots of desk employees around the world should learn from him!
The room was very nice, all fine. Large enough, and having all amenities.
Excellent lunch at the hotel: very good cuisine.
I needed to leave my luggage at the concierge: they did it all very well.
The only point for improvement: when I left, I asked a lady at the reception, apparently Swiss, to help me get my luggage back and book a taxi for me. She did it but in a cold and distant way. She should go find another job in a different industry. One where she can continue being unfriendly.
BBenny Hon ChungThe hotel is in a central location which is only a few minutes walk from the railway station and the old town where the cathedral and all the big luxury brands can be found. There are a lot of restaurants in its vicinity. The hotel is a bit old but very clean and comfortable. The room is spacious and sound proofing is excellent. The staff are extremely polite, welcoming, and accomodating. It's worth mentioning that the hotel's check in time is 1500 but we were given a room when we arrived at 1210. The gentleman and lady at the reception counter even gave us a city map and took several minutes telling us where to go. The two reception girls in the afternoon also showed us their welcoming smiles every time they saw us. When we called to request to have a kettle the hotel gave us not just a kettle but a whole lot of instant coffee and tea bags. Wow what a surprise to receive such excellent service in a small 4 star hotel! I highly recommend it to all travellers who want to receive exceptional service.
SStephen moorhouseWe were upgraded by Trip.com to the AppartCity the day before as our original hotel was fully booked. Although the AppartCity was slightly further from Geneva Airport the bus service was excellent with buses about every 20 mins.
We had a Superior grade apartment with kitchen and roof terrace. Very comfortable room and beds.
We had the breakfast in the morning and it was excellent with a choice of cooked breakfast, cold meats and cheese, continental breakfast. It was also excellent.
The hotel also provides a free bus travel card for the duration of your stay and we used it to get into Geneva. Again good regular service. Excellent location.
Great hotel
MMRyangThis is my second time staying here. The last time was in 2018. The room is not big, but it has everything it should have. I booked two rooms and asked for connecting rooms, which were given to me. They are very good. There are two double beds, one is 2 meters and the other is 1.8 meters. It is spacious for three big and two small. It is cost-effective. Although it is not on the first line of the lake, it is a 2-minute walk from the lake. You can find free bus tickets at the hotel front desk. Although I didn't encounter anyone checking tickets on the bus barge for two or three days, it is still safer to get one just in case.
GGuest UserWe arrived early at 9am and front desk staff is kind to allow check in upon checking there are rooms availabilty.
The location of the hotel is good. Just 2 tram stop away from Cornavin Station. Walk 3 mins to Butini tram station, which can assess almost all the places of interests In Geneve.
Rooms are clean and staffs are helpful and friendly.
Highly recommened.
NNIRAVKUMARWell first of all I was really disappointed after the hotel staff told me that the booking was only for two adults and did not include my child and then they asked me to pay for extra bed for my child. I showed them the booking confirmation which clearly stated three person booking paid with triple suites but she still refused to check us in and said manager is not allowing her to check us in. I asked her to let me speak with the manager and explain the problem or show her the booking and but the manager said she is not ready to speak with me as they don’t entertain website booking problems. She didn’t even bother to speak with me or come and see me and ultimately I had to pay for extra person even though the booking was paid in full for a family of three. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone at all. The manager should at least have listened to me and check my booking booking confirmation
GGuest UserService was an area of major dissatisfaction. I felt uncomfortable and singled out during breakfast when a staff member, notably dressed in a blue-striped shirt, decided it was necessary to lecture me on how to use a spoon and fork at the buffet counter. This intrusive behavior was not only condescending but also culturally insensitive, especially towards the predominantly Asian guest demographic. Her constant supervision over my shoulder was unnecessary and unpleasant. You must pick up and return the serving spoon and fork to the exact same spot; otherwise, she will come over to watch you and place them back herself. Furthermore, the front desk staff lacked warmth and friendliness, their attitude falling disappointingly short of the hospitality one expects from such a highly-rated hotel.
GGuest UserThe room boasts a fantastic view. Getting here is incredibly convenient – it's just a few train stops from Geneva, and the hotel is right by the train station. Compared to staying in Geneva city center, this place offers excellent value for money. Plus, the room itself was very clean and well-maintained.
MMuniz PedroAs a business hotel with the bare minimum, bed and shower, and convenience of being close to the airport, it's ok. The breakfast buffet at CHF32 was very good. Geneva is an expensive city per se. This week, I think there were fairs/events in the city crowding the hotels and bringing the prices up. Things to complain about: the shower doesn't have a door, so the bathroom gets all wet. There are no amenities like courtesy slippers, toothbrushes, and toothpaste (Yeah, save the planet...) And the shower mixer gives you 3 choices: cold, hot, and cold-hot-cold-hot... So, showering is a challenge. Think of these ”chain/brand” hotels as that is what you get to make their EPS go up and please their shareholders. There is nothing to do with hospitality.
LLimmylimlimAlthough I had bed bug bites and was uncertain whether I had gotten it in the hotel or the hotel before, there was no proper procedures, only a “it has not happened before” and an alleged check by a private hire. Although its likely to be from the hotel before, there was no attempts at remedy or assistance, which leads me to believe that customer service may not be the strength of the hotel. It was otherwise a good hotel, which would have garnered higher ratings if they were to treat certain problems more seriously. (There was also a stoppage of water during my stay which was by no means the fault of the hotel, but during that time, maybe water could be provided by the hotel for if customers do have the needs)
