Guest UserApartment is in Medan City, around 1h car ride from Kualanamu airport. It is next to DeliPark Mall which has everything you need.
View from the room is calming.

Desmond solo travelThe lobby is well maintained. But a bit small. Once many ppl will feel crammed. The room is good but a bit run down. The furnitures should do some painting touch up. I like the gym with glass panel and roof. The pool a bit small. It's Raya season so many kids at the pool can't enjoy much.

Guest UserThings I like:
The bed, shower and cozyness of the room.
Water supply (hot water) and air circulation in the bathroom - closet have no smell at all,
As well as the fact that they provide a free parking space for the guest who brings car,
Things I love:
Breakfast menu...... more than enough options, all of those foods I ate are delicious (If not super delicious),
Provision of drinking water with a water dispenser
As well as the staffs hospitality - top notch...
Things I dont really like:
TV program, nothing interesting for me and not useful at all
Too less power outlet and the fact that there is too small table for the kettle and water bottle.....

Guest UserWe stayed here this time for 3 nights. We had stayed here a couple of times before. The hotel maintains its hospitality, warmness and courtious reception of customers. It was quite easy to check in and out. The staff from front desk to housekeeping were friendlyand warm. There are little things that should be paid attention to such as the menu for breakfast.. Although the spread is good but there should be some variation/changes. Overall staying here you get value for your money.

azmismeIt is a good hotel but needs to maintain its facilities. Food was good too. It says new normal but they are stuck at covid still with the barriers at the reception. Posters about covid are everywhere.

The staff here are all so friendly! This is my second or third time staying, and honestly, everyone is great. Thank you for your service during our stay. The only minor issues were that the toilet wasn't very clean, but it was still usable, and the shower wasn't working. 🤭 I hope these things can be improved and checked in the future. 🙏😇 Assalamualaikum

The apartment is very spacious, which makes it a great choice, especially for family gatherings. The room was very clean, and the price is very reasonable for the size and value offered.
However, the apartment would benefit from some updates, as the mattresses feel quite soft and old. Replacing the mattresses, pillows, and blaket would significantly improve comfort and make the stay even better.
Overall, this is a good place for families looking for a spacious and affordable stay, and with a few upgrades to the bedding, it would be perfect.

I recently stayed at Grand Sakura Hotel in Medan, and overall, it was a decent experience—especially for the price.
The hotel is located in a pretty strategic area, making it easy to get around the city and access nearby attractions, shopping spots, and transportation. Many guests also highlight the convenience of its location and accessibility.
The room was spacious and fairly comfortable, with basic amenities like air conditioning, TV, and WiFi. Cleanliness was generally acceptable, although some areas could use better maintenance and attention to detail.
One of the positives is the staff—they were mostly friendly and helpful during the stay, which made the experience more pleasant. The breakfast offered a decent variety of food, though sometimes items were not refilled quickly during busy periods.
However, there are a few downsides. Some guests have reported issues like noise (especially from air conditioning units), occasional maintenance problems, and inconsistent service at the front desk. The facilities are also quite basic, so don’t expect anything luxurious.
Overall, Grand Sakura Hotel is a good budget-friendly option if you’re looking for a simple and convenient place to stay in Medan. It’s best suited for short stays or travelers who prioritize location and value over luxury.

Guest UserHonestly, I love staying here. Since my very first business trip to Medan, I've always chosen this hotel. What I find most appealing is the futuristic room design, and a small detail I appreciate is that even the lowest room category comes with a bolster pillow. However, truthfully, the service has been getting worse over time. For example, during my numerous stays there, I've only once had my luggage unloaded from the car. Most of the time, the security and bellboys are quite indifferent.
It would be a shame if the hotel's reputation was ruined because of this, especially since at any other hotel I've stayed at, particularly 3-star establishments, the security or bellboys are always friendly, welcoming, and helpful with unloading and even carrying bags.
My suggestion to management: please re-evaluate staff performance. Honestly, the only reason I keep coming back is because of the great room design. Thank you.
