4-Star Hotels in Durban

This hotel is the most comfortable hotel I have ever stayed in on an overseas business trip. It faces the sea and the spring flowers are blooming. It is the transition period between summer and autumn recently. The temperature is pleasant and it is surrounded by green forests. It only takes 15 to 20 minutes to walk to the beach, which is about 2 kilometers. about. The most comforting thing is that the kind and beautiful proprietress of the B&B is very nice. As soon as I arrived, she took me around the B&B and introduced the functional areas and precautions in detail, and asked me to choose one of the two room types. , she likes and is willing to communicate and interact with people very much, and her English speaking speed is also very suitable. I really like chatting with her. This is an opportunity and time that you cannot enjoy when staying in other hotels! If I have the opportunity to bring my family here next time, I will definitely stay here again! The only thing to note is that monkeys occasionally visit the balcony. Please close the balcony door when you go out. This morning, a monkey in the room next to mine came to his room while he was having breakfast in the rooftop restaurant and took some food! Overall, if you just take a look and choose another hotel, it will probably be your loss! Ha ha! (I rarely write such a long comment)~

Really clean hotel Very friendly staff Out door pool Gym was smaller but well equipped and super clean In a shopping development with lots of restaurants but closed around 8pm. Had to get an Uber to the area of town that opens later with bars and more restaurants. Lots of Ubers avaiable and very affordable so not really an issue.

In addition to perfection, I don't know how to say it. The owner is a pair of elderly parents in their 70s, polite and very happy. I lived for more than ten years before Joburg. I renovated this manor in 2002. It was very beautiful, quiet and comfortable, Umhlanga.

Back to Durban, in fact, it is currently two families living back and forth. I personally like to cook and eat by myself, and I can't eat white rice, so if I bring a kitchen, the optional range is very small. This homestay is not bad. I am familiar with the landlord Helen, and their white couple are very good. Someone cleans it every day. This is basic. The room can see the sea, so the view is not bad. The disadvantage is that it is indeed a homestay, and the facilities are not new. The light is a bit dim at night. Nothing else Advantages: Close to the gateway, and the security of umhlanga is very good. The summary is very good

A good place to be with a beautiful view.... ”The View” as its name . Closer to a shopping complex , gas station, 5min drive to the beach, closer to the beach there also restaurantswhere you can dine whole having the beach view, Toti Beach. its also closer to galleria Mall. The place is too steep so be ready for that... Their food is delicious, we had dinner there at their restaurant called Giorgios but its expensive I must say. Not sure about their breakfast and lunch though. Staff and reception is just ok. I had requested them to add a crib bed for a child and upon arrival they told us that the storeroom is closed because we arrived at 6pm so it's too late. We then asked them to give us atleast a bedsheets or any linen so we can make a plan for our son, they said ok but never pitched , nothin, not even getting back to us to say what could be the matter. We asked again the following day, they took four hours to bring a bedsheets. Bottom line is if you have a child do not, I repeat DO NOT book that place because they will lie straight to your face saying they could not reach you since you booked via an APP. I'm not sure whetherI want to talk about their kitchen in the rooms. You will have to call them now and again to bring things and they take 3 to 4hours just for a simple thing like a spoon. One thing I can say is they don't listen and listening means you respect your business and your clients I flew from overseas to rest and have a good time and have treat ourselves since they have a spar but I ended up canceling my plans for a spa because I didn't want additional dissapointments. The rest I don't even want to mention...and that is my experience after paying so much Money and looking forward to a good vacation 😌 BUT...

I recently stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn Umhlanga Arch and had a mostly positive experience. The location is fantastic, right in the heart of Umhlanga with easy access to everything. The room was lovely and super comfortable, which made for a relaxing stay. The breakfast buffet was amazing,delicious and with plenty of options, which was a great way to start the day. However, the restaurant was way too hot. It felt like everyone was trying to grab a fan, and I honestly think they should either switch on the AC or find a better solution for cooling the space. The pool was nice and well-maintained, and it’s heated, but honestly, it felt a bit strange to swim in a hot pool during summer. I think the heated pool would be much more enjoyable during the cooler months, like in winter. Another downside is that they close the pool way too early….7 pm is pretty unreasonable, especially in a place like Umhlanga where you want to enjoy the evenings. Overall, it’s a good hotel with great amenities, but the restaurant temperature and early pool closure definitely need some attention.

Beautiful place, it is very quiet and peaceful. I loved the sea view😍. The room is very clean and spacious, very friendly staff, always there to help. Breakfast was very delicious, many options to choose from, this guest house is close to many restaurants and party places, this is a huge bonus, very convenient, I highly recommend. Whether you want a peaceful stay of you want to be out and about, this is definitely the right place to book😉❤️

The hotel room wasn’t clean enough,dust on the headboard and table,water dripping from the window of the shower to the room,the tv was not working,the hotel is nicely located and nearby the biggest shopping mall,has nice view,overall the hotel was okay but a little bit of renovations would be nice,if i had to book there again,I’d definitely would.

This was really great. The breakfast was also great however please reduce the salt on your food. And the meat be taken out the oven so that it doesn’t dry out. The rest of the hotel was absolutely amazing!!! Also please change the feather cushions. They looked rather old
