Originally a Qing Dynasty scholar-official's residence, its nine interconnected courtyards, with their green tiles and high walls, effectively block out the heat. Stepping inside, one is immediately enveloped in a refreshing coolness. In the afternoon, sitting quietly in the tea room, brewing a pot of Green Willow Spring tea, the cicadas' chirping fades behind the brick courtyard walls, leaving only the fragrant scent of plants in the air. The Huaiyang dim sum at Xi Banquet is refreshing and delightful. Sitting by the window, one can watch the tree shadows gently sway on the white walls. There's no need to venture to the distant suburbs; here, in a century-old mansion, you can steal half a day of serene living. As the evening breeze drifts through the long, narrow alleyways, carrying away the oppressive heat, you begin to understand Yangzhou's unique summer elegance and leisurely pace within the Ice Bowl Hotel.

As a frequent traveler, I've stayed in many high-end hotels, including Four Seasons, Grand Hyatt, and Mandarin Oriental. This was my first time staying at a Novotel, and the service at the Novotel Yangzhou was actually the best I've experienced across all high-end hotels. All the staff genuinely love their work, providing sincere and warm service that truly makes you feel at home. There were many delightful details: complimentary drinks, afternoon fruit, and turndown service with fruit, which are rarely seen in hotels of similar price offering such great value. I sincerely thank all the staff for giving my mother and me a wonderful trip and stay experience, and I hope more travelers can experience this outstanding service.

Surprisingly this 5 ⭐️ hotel has a Executive Club floor with Oriental looking room. Well equipped with all the pampering hotel amenities. What wow us was the luxurious Laundry Room 🧺 which can only be accessed with your keycard, Best thing, it was fully furnished like a lounge with cool music 🎵 🎶 . Great experience, worth considering for a short stay ✌️

We were a family of three, and I specifically chose a room with a 1.5-meter bed plus a slightly smaller one, which made for a very spacious sleep. The pillows were a bit high; it would have been even better if there were options for pillows of different heights. Overall, the hotel's recreational environment is great for kids, with animal feeding and an outdoor swimming pool. In the evening, we went to the hot springs, which had many pools and a nice ambiance, although the fish spa, which the kids loved most, cost extra. If you want to visit Slender West Lake, it's very convenient from here. We also drove a short distance to a highly recommended restaurant online called Da Mao. If you're traveling with children and just want to enjoy the hotel and its surroundings, it's a relaxing choice.

Arrived in Yangzhou in the evening, and as soon as I got to the hotel entrance, someone helped me with my luggage and escorted me to the lobby. The front desk staff was incredibly gentle and patient during check-in, even upgrading my room and gifting me a local Yangzhou specialty: Yangda yogurt. The room was very clean and cozy, truly feeling like a home away from home, which put me completely at ease. The breakfast had a wide variety of options and tasted great. For lunch, I ordered Huaiyang cuisine at the hotel, which was delicious and comforting for the stomach. Dinner was also in the lobby, a hot pot that warmed me right up, melting away the chill from the rainy Yangzhou night. I was so impressed that Wanda Realm takes such care with its food, making my tired traveler's heart feel a sense of belonging. I'll definitely come back next time… I really didn't want to leave and felt a touch of reluctance.

Overall, I was quite satisfied. The waiters were very nice and there were many breakfast varieties. The dinner included in our original package was a buffet. Because there were not many people, they changed it to a Chinese restaurant to save costs. However, the standard was lowered to only 200 yuan, and it was not easy to order dishes by ourselves. We could only eat the dishes prepared by the chef. In addition, when checking in at the front desk, I saw that other tourists who stayed in the room had upgraded their courtyard rooms to garden views. So our package didn't seem to be that cost-effective, right?

Experience a private hot spring, rich in metasilicic acid and lithium, exclusively at this hotel. It seems to be the only one around Yangzhou Slender West Lake that offers private hot springs. The hot spring was incredibly relaxing. The first round of the minibar included Coke, Sprite, and Fanta. The hotel's location is excellent, with the East Gate of Slender West Lake within walking distance. There are also many restaurants nearby, so you can easily find options for both breakfast and dinner.

The place is beautiful. The rooms/cottages of the hotel are spread around a nice area. There is a vegetable garden and kids could feed the goats and rabbit. My kids loved the hotel and the room. Front desk gave us kids slippers and toothbrushes and a bag full of treats and snacks for the kids. Beds were very comfortable and the family room was beautiful with a balcony looking to the canal. Black swans swimming in there. The private outside hot bathtub was cool. They gave us some activity tickets (kids cookies baking, two free coffee cups and free entrance to the park beside), sadly we couldn’t use them, because we came noon and went to visit a different area , then left the next day after breakfast. The outside hotel surroundings are nice and peaceful. The food was great! Breakfast buffet is delicious. I would recommend it. There was a staff speaking English, but was not necessary for us. The service is very good and friendly…I’ll return.

The room was incredibly spacious with a great view. It's conveniently located next to a commercial area, making dining and even experiencing a Yangzhou-style scrub (a local bathing tradition) very easy. The hotel also offers laundry facilities, including detergent. It's very close to the Yizheng Baseball Field, just a 10-minute walk away. I have to especially commend the hotel service; they truly went above and beyond to provide whatever we needed. I'll definitely stay here again if I have the chance.

房間裏的衞生狀況一般，地毯看起來像是臟了很久了，地毯和地磚連接的部分有明顯的碎頭髮。 房間很大，但是設施一般，也沒有智能馬桶什麼的，整體看起來像是上個世紀的縣城招待所。 但是酒店外部環境很好，草坪打理得很到位，湖景也讓人賞心悦目，陽台門打開可以直接看到湖。 但是酒店位置真的很偏僻，晚上餓了周圍沒有任何便利店餐館或者外賣什麼的，如果想吃，最少要開車到高郵市裡才行，這一點不太好。
