Positioned directly on the famous Four Mile Beach, Sheraton Grand Mirage Resort Port Douglas is a premier hotel in Port Douglas, Australia, and is the perfect stepping-off point to the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Great Barrier Reef and Daintree Rainforest. The resort has had a long-term responsibility to protect the natural environment and create a positive impact on the community through water conservation, energy efficiency, recycling initiatives, and the reduction of food waste. Famous for the two hectares of palm-fringed lagoon-style pools filled with water from the ocean, guests can float the day away, relax in a private poolside cabana, or swim up to the pool bar. Alternatively, explore 147 hectares of tropical gardens including the world-renowned Mirage Country Club, and choose from seven vibrant restaurants and bars. Sheraton Grand Mirage Resort Port Douglas also offers Green Meetings by Marriott in 18 flexible indoor and outdoor event spaces, the largest catering for up to 1,000 delegates.

The hotel is very far away. In Douglas Town, we went to Cairns by boat for an hour. I am a Platinum Member of Marriott. Sheraton gave me a wine and it was said that the room type was upgraded. But they told me I was not a Platinum member, wasn't it funny? The hotel facilities are good, the scenery is very beautiful, the swimming pool is very large, parking is free, and there are golf courses, but the hotel is located in a tropical rain forest, there are a lot of bugs, and there are cockroaches and small flying insects everywhere in the corridor. It will be stinging, the room is still quite large, and the bathroom is also large. If the hotel can pay attention to cleanliness, the business should be better, which is not comparable to the Gold Coast Sheraton. In addition, I want to tell people who live here not to go to a Chinese restaurant called Jadeinn in Douglas. The owner ’s 10,000-percent Hong Kong independence is simply not dead. If you like to spend all day in the hotel, can recommend this

We were disappointed when we first arrived at the property. It looked much nicer online, and we didn't feel it was worth the money. It's run down and needs some TLC. Our room was a 3-bedroom self-contained unit. It was spacious and neat, but the bathrooms were disgusting. I would expect bathrooms like that if I stayed at a caravan park. It needs a significant update. There is no mini-bar or lift to the second floor where we stayed. Two young girls were assigned to bring our luggage to our room, but they struggled with our heavy bags, and my husband and 17-year-old son had to help them and bring them up. The same thing happened when we checked out. The poor girl couldn't push the trolley with the luggage, and my husband ended up pushing it for her. The buffet breakfast is average. Not worth $45. The staff are all backpackers. The service could have been better. We would have tried to find a nicer hotel if we hadn't paid upfront. The only saving grace was the swimming pool. Although it also needs a revamp, it was a great pool, and the kids liked it. We wouldn't stay here again.

We loved our stay at paradise links resort! We had a two bedroom apartment, which is actually a studio room and one bedroom apartment combined. Loved the coffee machine and comfortable couches and nice big comfortable bed. The resort is lovely and quiet. The main pool looks beautiful but isn’t heated, however the other pool is heated and is very nice. The apartments do need a bit more maintenance, crockery could be replaced and the cabinetry in the studio room is chipped and old, but even so we loved staying here and would do so again!

We had an incredible 5 nights at Niramaya villas in mid October. We have traveled to many luxury hotels across the world, Niramaya really stood out for us particularly in terms of value for money. We stayed in Villa 41 (2 Bedroom) 2 adults & toddler & a baby. we requested an infinity pool & received just that. The villa was stunning, gardens were immaculate, pool a nice temperature. The villa was spacious with beautiful bathrooms, double garage with a stunning view across the little lake. It felt very private and was quiet. We booked direct through the hotel which included a $100 food voucher per day. One thing to note is when travelling with young children the second bedroom is quite far from the Master bedroom. Our baby monitor range did not reach, as a result one of us had to sleep in the same room as our toddler which was fine. Also there are rainforest noises throughout the night, so if you are a light sleeper I suggest ear plugs. We want to thank Ranaul, he was a wonderful staff member who went over and above to make our stay memorable. We will definitely be returning!

A hotel searched on the Internet, the facilities are complete, the rooms are spacious, the price is good, the quality is good, the port is very close to the port of Douglas, the surrounding food and beverage supermarkets are all available, the whole is value-for-money, satisfactory. However, as a high-scoring hotel, there is still a gap in service. I haven't cleaned the room for two nights. Indeed, I have come back for a day, and I haven't moved in the room. I wonder if there is a rule to live without having to clean it? It doesn't matter, it's okay to clean up. I just told the front desk in advance that I had to leave the store at 7.30 in the morning of the second day, but the next morning at 7.30, the front door and window of the reception hall were closed, no staff on duty could be found, no one answered the phone... The luggage was taken down, and It is inconvenient to throw it and then send the room card to the room. In desperation, the room card is stuffed from the door seam, and the reservation customer service is sent to inform the check-out email... The result is unknown. Fortunately, I only brushed a 10-knife credit guarantee when I checked in. It doesn't matter if I can't retreat...

YYUPort douglas apartments have underground parking garages for convenience. No elevator. No breakfast. The owner Robin is enthusiastic. The room is nice, bright, clean, 70 meters from the beach, at the end of Macrossan Street, very quiet. Especially suitable for vacation. Just a few steps away is the end of the four-mile beach. There is a walkway on the left side, 1.3km long. Stay a few more days. If you come from Cairns, rent a car at the airport and drive for up to an hour. You can also drive to Dancui Rainforest by yourself. Don't listen to the boss's flickering road conditions. It is recommended to join a one-day tour. It is well worth taking a cruise to the daintree river by car. You can see wild crocodiles. If it weren't for this small group to be sent back on time, we could just wait to see wild crocodiles attack the cows standing in the water. regret! Picture one is a hunting scene photo we were unable to wait for. The video is a daintree river boat ride to find the crocodile.

GGuest UserThe hotel is in a very central location, on the edge of the city center street, very quiet, but close to the beach, not a 5 minute walk away to enjoy a reclining beach or a beach walk and watch the sunrise. In addition to the master bed, there is also a small room with a single bed, which is suitable for families. There is a microwave oven, a kitchen sink and cute tableware, which can be used for simple cooking. Large-scale cooking must be in the public kitchen. It's a little inconvenient. Although it is not cleaned every day, the cleanliness of the room is not bad. All in all, it's worth recommending.

This was the best place for a family holiday. We were an extended family and the owners treated us so well, helping to accomodate 4 separate families. Throughout our time here, we experienced comfortable, spacious accomodation, friendly staff and a great swimming pool. The location is perfect to access all the great experiences North Queensland has to offer. Mossman Gorge close by. Only 20 minutes to Port Douglas for reef tours or a night out. We have really happy memories of our week here.

The suite we booked was not cheap. So very disappointed that it hasn’t been updated or maintained since it was built in 1999. Really old fashioned and ran down. The bathroom has black mould between the wall tiles. The floor tiles are dirty. You get dirty feet walking around barefoot. The floor got wet after a shower so I wiped the tiles with a flannel which was then a muddy brown colour. Tge toilet bowl has brown stains in. The bedroom door dividers don’t even meet so the light comes in early. When I asked if there were any alternative room options the manager said none of the rooms had been refurbished in the last 25 years so all equally bad. He also said it was my fault for booking it and my travel agent! Hilarious that it’s the customers fault that it’s poorly maintained! Apparently it’s not a hotel, strange given the sign outside and website that all call it a hotel. Apparently you’re renting a room from an individual owner, so none of it is the management’s responsibility. So run down and not clean. Looking forward to leaving and going to a proper hotel with up to date facilities and clean. We had our first bad breakfast here after 3 weeks of travelling around Australia. Nothing seemed to work out well here for us! One plus is the view is nice overlooking 4 mile beach. So if they do refurbish and start cleaning properly would be nice. Also convenient for town centre and restaurants.

Sstaceye687My mum and I shared room 15. The configuration was perfect for us, as it was actually 2 rooms with a common entrance opened up, so Mum was able to have 15B to herself. This meant she not only had her own bedroom, but her own bathroom, kitchenette, veranda, outdoor chairs and table, spa, sun lounge and pool ladder! I was in 15A (a double room in itself) and we used its much larger lounge, kitchen (full size with dishwasher), veranda and spa as our common area. Both bathrooms have walk-in showers. The pool isn't heated but it was in the sun from early morning so, even in August, I found the water plenty warm enough. It's always beautifully clean too, without noticeable chlorine, only slightly salty, good mix. Excellent location, next door to Zinc restaurant and bar, which is on the corner of Davidson and Macrossan Street. Short stroll to the beach. If you're not able to manage the walk all the way down Macrossan St to the inlet, there is a great shuttle bus service available (SR Coaches) to take you anywhere in Port Douglas for a fixed price of $8 one way or $14 return. Just call their mobile number to tell them where you are and they'll be there in a flash.

GGuest UserBooking our stay at the Coral Beach Lodge was a bit of a last minute thing and I must say that I was a bit dubious about the communal kitchen, but I was pleasantly surprised. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful and our room was clean and a good size, which included an outdoor table and 2 chairs outside the sliding door at the back of the room. The pool was lovely! There was also a table tennis table and a pool table which we had a few games on. The communal kitchen was great as everyone was friendly and chatty with each other. I think this may be a back packers place as there were a lot of young travelers there. We did plan a barbecue for that night though, but the gas bottle was empty so we cooked it in the kitchen. They are building a bar there but it won't be ready until April. Overall, a nice place to stay and was only $99 for the night.

Our family of 5, including three teenagers stayed for 5 night at this hotel: What we liked: Location: although on the main road to lovely Port Douglas, it has a short back pathway to the superb 4-miles beach. 15' walk to most restaurants, shops, marina, cafes. This said we drove around Family room was spacious enough for five. There was also a kitchenette and kitchen ware. Well working air conditioning and ceiling fans Nice curvy pool beautifully embedded into the hotel courtyard. Plus a jacuzzi our kids loved. Not really a pool for swimming but very relaxing and very appreciated by children around i noticed. Funnily enough, in spite of how exposed it was to the pool area and the other rooms around, our room was quiet. Available and free parking in the garage Things that need improvement: On arrival in the evening we were given a room on the basement that did not correspond to our booking months before for a room with a nice pool view. The reception was not able to solve the issue that evening. We complained to the manager and she organised the change of rooms the following morning. Thank you Karisa! To our surprise, the room was not serviced during our 5-day stay. When we asked on day 2 we were told that it was at an extra cost. I do not remember having read about that on the Accor web site when booking. A change of towels is only offered for stays of + 4 nights. Given the cost of the stay and that we eat out and therefore we do not use the kitchen, not having the family room cleaned is suboptimal. The safe box needs an extra key from the reception to be operational. Not sure if that is for free or a paid service. Bathrooms and amenities are adequate. We cannot comment on breakfast as we did not try it. There is a tennis court and a small fitness room too, but we did not use those either.

GGuest UserThe environment is good, there are standard resort scenery, pool, pool table, bar are OK. At night, the lights under the swimming pool are dim, and it feels very suitable for the swimsuits to line up, but unfortunately the pool is not open at night. Health, the overall facilities are not bad. In the evening, the hotel restaurant can order some western food, and the price and taste are not bad. The only thing that is inconvenient is that the traffic is not convenient. If you want to go out for dinner and need to walk for more than half an hour, the hotel can also help to call the bus, but it is still not convenient.
