We traveled as a group of eight, including two young children, three grandparents, and three adults, and every single one of us had an incredible time. Nestled amidst lush tea plantations, the setting is absolutely stunning. Each morning, we woke up to breathtaking sunrises and a serene mist that blanketed the landscape. The house itself is a work of art—crafted entirely of wood and with impeccable aesthetic taste that reflects a deep respect for nature. But as beautiful as the surroundings and accommodations are, the true highlight of our stay was the hospitality of the host. In our three years in China, we have never experienced anything like it. From the moment we arrived, it felt as though we were visiting a dear friend rather than staying in a hotel. Her warmth, generosity, and genuine care made us feel completely at home. The food was exceptional, and we were treated to fresh fruits and tea throughout the day. She showed special care for our children, teaching them (and us!) how to make tea, and even accompanied us on a walk to share her knowledge of the local flora. One day, she surprised us with her hidden talent as a musician, singing traditional Chinese songs while playing the guitar and drums. Her smile and positive energy were infectious, leaving a lasting impression on all of us. This homestay was more than just a place to stay—it was an unforgettable experience filled with beauty, warmth, and cultural connection. We left with full hearts and wonderful memories, knowing this was the best place we've ever stayed in China. "We drove from the bustling Jinghong to Menghai. The road was dusty and we were a little disappointed, but when we arrived at the place where we stayed, it was still worth it. Because we were the only family staying on the first day, the housekeeper still strongly recommended taking an open-air hot spring bath, which was much more comfortable than the room, but it was too hot. Thank you for letting us use the water. The environment was very good, and we also drank Pu'er tea brewed by the housekeeper and learned some knowledge about tea. It was very quiet and comfortable at night. I slept much better than the previous few days. I replenished my energy and had a great time going to the market the next day. I highly recommend it to Menghai!"
