"The staff were incredibly nice and polite throughout our stay. The floors and surroundings were very clean and well-maintained, which made the place feel even more comfortable. And the sunset view? Absolutely magical such a beautiful and relaxing experience. Highly recommended!
However, I was very disappointed with the Trip.com booking and refund process. I originally booked two rooms, but one of the rooms was suddenly cancelled by the hotel and trip.com. It has already been 7 days, and I still haven’t received any update regarding my refund and its hard to contact them . What made it more frustrating is that the cancellation was not on my end — they were the ones who cancelled the booking, yet the refund process is taking far too long.
Because of this issue, I had to urgently look for another hotel and make another payment to cover our stay. I hope Trip.com and the hotel improve their room availability updates and customer service to avoid this kind of hassle for future guests."

Guest UserThere aren't many good hotels in this area, and I felt this one wasn't worth the price. The entire La Union coastline faces the South China Sea, so the waves are really strong, making it only suitable for surfing. It's definitely not the right place for snorkeling or diving. The sand on the beach isn't fine either. The section in front of the hotel was okay, but the public beach was overflowing with sewage, which was truly an eyesore.

I recently enjoyed a fantastic stay at Marand Beach Resort by Cocotel, and it was nothing short of spectacular. The location is absolutely stunning, with pristine beaches and crystal-clear waters creating a tranquil paradise. The rooms were spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated, providing a cozy and comfortable environment. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, always ready to assist with a smile. The resort's amenities, including the pool and dining options, were top-notch and greatly enhanced the overall experience. Gine26The deluxe room was spacious for a family of 4, and take note of the washroom providing a “suite like” feel.
Although the cabinets were obviously worn out, one of them had molds and can even smell once you open it. However, room had been kept clean throughout our stay in.
There was a limitation on access to amenities.
The beach was closed due to soil erosion, hence we only able to use the infinity pool.
Prepare cash for the deposit of 2k per night.
No lift (south wing, ocean wing) we had to ask assistance from the hotel concierges to bring the luggages all the way up to the3rd floor.

Our stay at San Juan Hostel was really great. The place is clean, relaxing, and perfect for a short getaway. We loved that there was a pool where we could unwind and enjoy our free time. The location is also very convenient because it is near Kabsat and just a short walk to the beach, which made it easy for us to explore and enjoy the area. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and the overall atmosphere of the hostel felt welcoming and peaceful. It was definitely a pleasant experience, and we would gladly stay there again.

The wifi signal was difficult in the pool area and we had to ask the front desk multiple times to fix the room wifi. The shower water was also very slow. The cafeteria has no onsite waiters, you will have to look for them in order to order. The aircon wasn't cold enough for a room that's for 4 pax so we had to ask for an extra fan in the room.
But the pool is good especially if you have kids. The beach area is also clean and not crowded so that's a good point. The food price is also affordable. The location if good for those who have private cars but i'll be quite far for commuters to find places to eat outside of the hotel.
