It is a very nice little hotel and good location with easy walk to MRT. Hotel is very clean and has everything a traveller needs. Price is excellent. It is much better than I expected. Breakfast could be better. It is take out food and it is cold. We will definitely be back next time when we are in Taipei!

Our family had a wonderful six-day stay at Illume Taipei, and we couldn’t have asked for a more convenient location. The hotel is surrounded by multiple 7-Eleven and FamilyMart convenience stores, ensuring that snacks, essentials, and quick meals are always within reach. In fact, there’s even a 7-Eleven located inside the hotel itself, which adds to the overall convenience. For families traveling with young children, the accessibility to medical facilities is a major plus. A hospital is located nearby, and a pediatric clinic is just a two-minute walk away, providing peace of mind in case of any unexpected health concerns. The room was spacious, well-maintained, and equipped with all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. The thoughtful layout and cleanliness made it a welcoming space to return to after a long day of exploring the city. Overall, Illume Taipei offers a fantastic balance of comfort, convenience, and accessibility, making it an excellent choice for both families and travelers looking for a hassle-free stay. My friend and I stayed in the No-Window Twin Room, and although the room is located in the middle of the floor, it is not noisy. The room we stayed was very spacious, especially the bathroom. Although the hotel is about 7-minute walk from the nearest station, it is conveniently located just right at the front of bus stops that made it easy to navigate Taipei and visit popular tourist attractions without any hassle. The receptionist was incredibly helpful. We realized we had forgotten our adapter, and they graciously lent us some pairs. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for comfort and convenience in exploring Taipei.

One of the best backpacking hostels I've ever stayed anywhere in the world. 1. Comfortable beds, with privacy curtains, light, socket and locker along with AC in the room 2. Huge lounge area with great wifi connection. 3. Almost fully equipped kitchen to make a full meal. 4. Also had laundry with washer and dryer (costs 50TWD each) 5. Location is excellent with the bus stop and train station hardly 5-10mins walk. Quiet residential area. PX Mart is right next door while 7/11 and family mart are 2 mins away.

We are very impressed with this hotel. Design is modern and pleasant. Facilities are new and sufficient. Staff are friendly and helpful. Most importantly the bed is super comfy. Free snacks and drinks are refillable daily. Nearby there’s a market with great local food. This is by far the best hotel we have ever stayed in Taipei so far. Will be back again!

2nd stay for our trip. The team is helpful and accommodating. The hostel is clean and tidy in general. The only downer was we suspect there could be bed bugs? As we got a bit of rash the next day (for both stays). Other than that, the experience was positive.

Returned traveller! The hotel location is great with exit 2 just across the road and exit 1 behind the hotel. The service of the staff is also great! A quieter side of taipei but yet with quite a few food options around too! Only thing to note is that taiwan doesnt provide any toothbrush shaver etc (based on the law) so do remember to bring your own!

Excellent location and friendly staffs. Although the hotel is a little old but it’s very well kept. Daily supply of bottled water, coffee & tea bags in the room. There’s also a coffee machine at the reception area. Staffs are very friendly and helpful. There’s no toilet amenities like toothbrush/ comb/ shaver so please prepare for the trip. Overall I recommend this hotel. Thank you.

I really liked this hotel . Location is great and convenient. The price is a little bit high , but is okay . I guess in Taipei is not really easy to find a nice place for a small amount of money .By the way ,the Room was cleaned well , the hotel provided towels, personal care toilet stuff, sleepers etc
