The location is great; it is just a block away from a variety of food options and grocery stores. The front desk is English and Chinese speaking which is helpful. Room is dusty and toilet has a smell. But the room size is biggest I've seen in japan.

It’s worth the price but I decided to not come back and stay here as originally planned for one specific reason. First the pros: Large room, very extensive bathroom, comfortable bed, and every single staff person was extremely helpful and kind, especially when I forgot my computer a day later and found it safely held there. They seem to all speak adequate English for hotel stays. It is very centrally located and seems to be in high demand. Good for a late night or a first night in Tokyo, but probably no more. For me, the biggest con was despite there being a window that let in light, it was completely covered in plastic shrouding that allowed in only light, but no view. This is why I cancelled my planned reservation when returning. I know there are other rooms without this window “feature” but didn’t want to take the chance as it felt extremely claustrophobic to me. Even if the view was of a dirty alley I wanted to be able to see it. A minor con is also the weird system where you have to surrender your key to the front desk every time you leave. The decor of the rooms, neither pro nor con to me, is quaintly “1980s Japanese business hotel” and little besides the aircon and toilet have been updated since then, including the carpet.

Was good value and large size rooms but a bit older style. I would stay again.

The hotel is located at one station away from Shinjuku, which is quite convenient for tourists.

First of all the staff is really friendly and helpful but the wifi here doesn't work no matter how many times they claimed that they’ve reboot it. And the hotel is on 2nd floor no elevator.

I didn't expect much, but it was much bigger and better than I thought! The location is close to Shin-Okubo Station, and best of all, there's a Don Quijote in the same building, so I could shop whenever I wanted :) I'd like to stay here again next time!

While looking for accommodations around Shinjuku, I found out about Royal Hotel Shin-Okubo. It takes 10-15 minutes to walk to Shinjuku, and the location is good. The price of the accommodation seems to be good value for money. However, there were no windows that opened inside the accommodation, and there was no view. Still, I was satisfied and would visit again~

The location was good because the subway was close and Donkey was right in front. It was clean, but it felt old because it was an old place.

The room is nice, but the service attitude is not good. It is on the second floor and there is no elevator. It is very tiring to carry large items up there, and the hotel does not provide any help

The hygiene is average, but when it's time, the boss is rushing me. I'm wearing shoes and pajamas and I just washed my hair. I said I'll go out right away and change clothes. He got so anxious that he got mad. I give up.

The price/performance ratio is quite high. The advantages are good location, large room, low price. The disadvantages are that it is a bit old and you have to leave the key at the front desk when you go out.

What should I say? This hotel feels like a hot iced Americano. 1. The hotel is on the 2nd floor, but there is no elevator. => The price is the best for the price of hotels near Shin-Okubo (the hotel next door is also noisy anyway lol. The stairs here are wide, so it's the furthest.) 2. Slightly otherworldly soundproofing => The soundproofing is that Fuji is a bustling area. There is a Don Quijote on the 1st floor, so it's convenient for duty-free shopping. There are also drugstores and convenience stores nearby, so it's convenient for buying various things. If you buy something in a place with a lot of tourists, your blood pressure will really rise every time you wait in line. There's none of that. 3. A bit old interior => This size is really the best for this price range... The interior is old, but it's antique and nice, and it makes you feel good. There are bigger hotels in Tokyo!! But this size is ridiculous for this price lol. The bathroom is really big. Tokyo hotels are so cramped that it's hard to open your suitcase, but there's room for a 28-inch one, right? And that's it? Just a hotel room What should I say... Isn't there a better place than this hotel? I always think about it. But I give up looking for such a hotel. But I'm the one who always comes back to this hotel that I thought was okay in the past... That's me... This is already my third visit. I think I won't book again unless something happens. Haha

It was very close to the station and convenient. The exterior was very beautiful, but the interior was a little worn. However, the bathroom and toilet were separate, there was a sink with a large mirror, and it was a good price to stay. I would like to stay again if I have the opportunity.
