"Just returned from another fabulous stay with Lynn and Paul, who are the best hosts you could wish for. The rooms are lovely and comfortable, spotlessly clean, and decorated to a very high standard, the fern room we stayed at is large and bright with its large turret windows, and is very peaceful, with a lovely large ensuite and a very comfortable bed also. The beautiful home made flapjacks made by Lynn were a very welcome treat on our arrival. And as always the breakfast was outstanding, with fresh produce, and beautifully presented in the lovely spotless dining room. Another big plus is the great parking provided. We can highly recommend Carlton Court, and will definitely be returning to stay with the super/friendly and welcoming, Lynn and Paul again, Many thanks once again for our fabulous stay."

"What an amazing experience! From our initial welcome from Anthony and Pauline., to departing as friends. The B&B is beautiful, clean and classy. We were given a room on the ground floor ( when they saw my husband limping) without any hesitation . The room was spotless and spacious with everything needed. Breakfast was absolutely stunning! The choice of the cold buffet was great, the small and mighty yoghurt pots with fruit they have grown ( where they can) was my personal favourate, but the hot choice was where they excelled! The " full english", was tasty and excellent quality. I had smoked salmon and scrambled eggs, and was probably the best i've ever eaten!! We really didn't want to leave! We are hoping to go back again very soon."

Assan the owner went above and beyond to make us feel welcome.nothing was too much trouble.sadly the indoor pool was out of action,but managed to use the outdoor pool which was lovely.clean,very friendly and will definitely visit again.it was my 2nd time staying here and really didn't want to go home....."

We chose to eat there three out of our four nights - OMG amazing fine dining. Beautiful food, really excellent thank you. Excellent staff too, on the desk, in the restaurant and housekeeping."

"The room we were given was at the bottom of a flight of stairs resulting in a lot of noise disturbance throughout the day and night. The hotel itself feels a little dated and the bed was incredibly uncomfortable. The fire alarm at 7am was also an unwelcome wake up call. The breakfast was good, with a decent selection and the general location is good for accessing local walks and the costal path. Parking is a bit of a nightmare and you can end up with a lengthy walk to the hotel when it is busy."

"Lovely convenient place, reasonably priced. Only downside is Room 43. No air in room, bed was the most uncomfoftable one we have ever stopped in. New mattress needed. Shower was ok, but again it was part broken, so you couldn't raise it. Looks like it's been like that for years judging by colour of tarnished yellow of fixings. Brekkies were pay as you go, just pay reception in morning. 8.50 each. No coffee machine, just sachets. Sausages and bacon was a vast improvement on what I had last time I visited. I would stay again, but NOT room 43"
