I clearly said it was, but when I got to the room, I found that it was a double room. How can three people sleep? I called and said that they made a mistake and changed us to a room on the same floor. OK, but when I went in, I found that there was no sofa. It was basically a triple room changed from a double room. There was only one bedside table, shared by two beds, and there was only one charging socket on it. The other bed had no bedside table and no charger to use! ! I raised questions at the time and asked us to wait. After waiting for about 20 minutes, there was no news. We were so tired from driving and wanted to lie down, and we still had a trip! So I called and said that I would not change it. Then I didn't want to get water from the car, so I thought about asking the waiter to send 3 bottles of water. The front desk said it was okay. After a while, I called again and said that each bottle would cost 2 yuan because there were already three bottles of water in the room. Why didn't you say it directly when you answered the phone? Are you not proficient in business? Moreover, we traveled all the way in southern Xinjiang, and the hotels we stayed in gave us 3 extra bottles of water. It's not that we have to pay for extra water. From the beginning, we were assigned the wrong room, the wrong room type, and then the waiting... the surprise we had when we saw the hotel environment before was gone. It was disappointing! The hotel facilities are also a bit old. They said it was their newest building. I hope they can improve their service and live up to their good reputation and good environment!

On the way home from southern Xinjiang to Korla, we rested at the All Seasons Hotel in Turpan. Although the hotel was a bit long, it was still clean, hygienic and comfortable. Breakfast was pretty good. The front desk clerk is warm and smiling👍👍. There is a dumpling restaurant next to it, and the dumplings are delicious!

The hotel we chose on short notice was much better than the one we had booked before. This 4 star hotel has a goid rating on Trip.com and I can understand why. However, I liken this hotel to a 20 year old luxury car such as an E36 7 series BMW or Lexus LS 430. Exceptional and glorious when new, but getting old and tired fast. On a superficial level the rooms look grand and sumptuous, but on greater scrutiny there are issues. One if these are the carpets, which are either in dire need of steam cleaning on a forensic level of thoroughness, or outright replacement. Some sections are worn and faded, while many odd bits and pieces can be found (and felt with bare feet), that seem to have escaped the attention of the room staff, e.g toothpicks, other miscellaneous refuse deposited by previous guests. I booked a continental double room, for $68 AUD per night and there was a misalignment of the door with its frame. Large enough to see through to the outside! The room contained a sofa Comfortable enough but with fabric badly worn away. The white veneer paint on tables has seen better days. Having said all this, overall, the hotel offers rooms of a relatively high standard. Ornate furnishings, large, extremely comfortable beds and pillows, a huge bathroom with sufficient water pressure and responsive hot water on demand (bathroom has a smart lighting arrangement which switches on via a sensor). There are a dozen individual controls for room lighting. Lots of cupboards and drawers and powerpoints where needed. There is a gym but for some undisclosed reason is currently closed, of February 2024. Is a buffet style restaurant with several guests dining in it which looked very well staffed. Reception will go out of their way to give assistance with arranging tours, ordering taxis etc, and try to ensure guests are satisfied. In summary, the hotel looks good and to some extent is good, but may not be worth paying $50 US a night to stay in and was a little disappointing.
