"Everything about this hotel's environment is great, but we booked breakfast and the hotel said they didn't receive our breakfast confirmation. When we got to the breakfast area in the morning, they asked us to show an English version of our order and email it to the hotel to verify. We had to wait over ten minutes before we could even enter the dining area. This experience was really not good; it felt like their staff weren't on the ball and thought we were trying to cheat them out of breakfast money. I've never had to email a hotel just to get into breakfast before. I'm not sure if it's a Ctrip issue or a hotel issue, but I hope they can improve and upgrade their service. Thanks! ☺️"

"Originally booked in for three nights extended it to five, would have been longer but they are fully booked. Nice clean room in a good location, friendly and helpful staff, will be returning. Nice Sunday roast yesterday evening enjoyed it very much."

"This is an old property, which oozes charm. Set in an idyllic location, with the quaint village to one side, (with a superb pub/restaurant 5 mins walk away) and rolling fields and fishing lakes to the other, it is the perfect location to unwind and recharge. We stayed in Katrina’s room, which was large, with a super comfy king size bed, en-suite bathroom with roll top bath and corner shower. It has everything you need within it, and views overlooking the fisheries, fields and gardens. The rest of the house is filled with beautiful furniture, and has such a relaxed atmosphere. The owner, Sue, is the perfect host. She met us upon arrival, and we were provided with coffee and cake. She also makes the most delicious cooked breakfasts. We stayed for three nights at this property, and will certainly be returning."
