Very good service and excellent stay

The hotel was quite small and far from everything, so getting around without a car was a bit inconvenient. As for the so-called “buffet” breakfast, it was really just pancakes and juice — nothing more.

Anything that could go wrong did go wrong!!! For a disabled room there was no power point near the bed. The only available power point in the room was in the bathroom. The air conditioning was manually powered and was positioned above the window so anyone in a wheelchair or that was short could not reach it. The only place to hang up your clothes was on the back of the bathroom door. The bathroom was quite large but when I went to put the towel on the hanger it came apart!!!! And the top of the toilet was broken. Then I opened the fridge and it looked like a soda can had exploded and nobody had cleaned it. When I informed the staff member he was very lovely, he came in and cleaned the fridge, gave me a power board and extension cord for the bed which did help. But then in the morning the young staff member on took an hour and half to bring a toasted sandwich to my room after saying it would only be 10mins. He had clearly forgotten about it. So after such a bad experience I asked for my money back!!!!

Ibis Budget Canberra is at a distance of some 7 km from the city centre which is quite remote and not easily accessible, especially at night time. On the other hand, Ibis Budget room charge is quite competitive and is ideal for travelers who have limited budgets. The concierges are polite and helpful and help make your stay very pleasant.

Receptionist was absolutely wonderful and friendly. Room is a bit dated with the toilet separated from the sink but it was fine for a good night's sleep and was quite clean. Just be aware they charge an extra $5/day for car parking.

An affordable budget hotel on the outskirts of Canberra. There was a dead cockroach in my fridge when I opened the fridge door. I’ve stayed there before and most likely will stay there again.

Fine. Location outside the City. You can arrive late at night. The key is prepared and all is arranged.

The hotel is quite economical. The breakfast is fine and inexpensive, and it is worth to pay extra for it. It is a few kilometers from city center but the area is nice.

The service from the front desk was ok but to have to pay to park my vehicle at the motel was an imposition. As it was compulsory, the true cost of staying at the motel should have been increased by the cost of the parking. This is deceptive pricing policy. It is almost as bad as charging more for toilet paper. The room and the bed were comfortable. The air conditioner did not work but there was a heater (probably all that is needed in Canberra in June) I did not partake of any food.

Good location, affordable, clean.

Was all okay - one of the beds in our room did not get made throughout the stay for some reason. Sheets were also not the cleanest on checkin. There was also some sort of power cut one afternoon which left us without power and Wi-Fi for about 5 hours, quite frustrating when we were job hunting. Staff were nice and location was fairly good however.
