Booked at the last minute, visited Ironbridge museums, clean, comfortable lovely breakfast choice, full English food was hot and tasty, good service.
For what we paid it was exceptional value.

Great place and staff but who ever the new bunch of people who own it rub it or whatever are rude and made me and my girl feel very uncomfortable it's never been like this and I have been going there since a kid

Nice hotel in a great location. Room very clean and bed comfortable. Wi-Fi only really available in bar and dining area, not in guest room.
As usual I was given a room next to a noisy person, must be my face. Apart from that very good…breakfast good as well with friendly staff.

I was walking in the area when I spotted this hotel down the lane. A sign said bar open and coffee. I didn't need any more encouragement to investigate. An old fashioned place but with a friendly and helpful receptionist. She showed me to the bar and took my order for a coffee and made me an excellent tuna sandwich plate. All this in the luxury of their bar lounge. There was nobody else about. They could have easily said they were not serving, so I appreciated the effort she went to. Thank you. The cost was very reasonable.

Booked 2 night stay as was working away from home. Check in was fine with no probs. Went up to room showered and decided on taking a little nap. Couldn't understand why I was constantly itching all over my neck and back. Got up out of bed to see numerous tiny insects all over the pillow and the mattress.(See pics Contacted reception and was transferred to a different room which I was thankful for. Unfortunately the replacement room had no towels except a little hand towel. I informed reception the following morning requesting that they provide me with a towel as I will need to shower on my return from work. Returned that evening only to discover that no towels had been left in the room. Went back to reception to ask for a towel only to be told that no towels were available as they were having problems with the laundry company. Had to use little face towel to dry off. Overall, not a pleasant stay to say the least.

Arrived there very late but the nighy manager accommodated us promptly. The room is nice, had everything that up to standard. We love the balcony, very relaxing in the morning. A cappa and a nice view of garden. The room and the hotel is clean and tidy. One small thing is, the miscommunication between night shift and morning shift. I was asked to pay again in the morning even tho I paid already when I arrived but I explained with the pdq receipt. However, they sorted out quick. No issue for us as we understand things can happen but could be better system about payment etc.

****DO NOT BOOK INTO THIS HOTEL ****- IT IS CLOSED BUT THE HOTEL BOOKINGS ARE STILL GOING THROUGH. PAID TO STAY ON 24/09 AND HOTEL HAS CLOSED DOWN, WE PAID FOR A ROOM BUT IT HAD CLOSED A MONTH BEFORE AND SO HAVING TO RECORD AS FRAUD - PLEASE DO NOT BOOK

Interesting to read this morning that it's closing no surprise it's the worst hotel I've even stayed in from the owner and very rude staff tasteless food of poor quality I'm not surprised .I witnessed some older guests spoken to by a member of staff very ubrubtly totally unprofessional service
