Chaka Evening Maple Hotel
"The room was spacious and bright, with comfortable air conditioning, which was great! They also provided complimentary fruit and juice. You can even buy oxygen here. I'm very satisfied and recommend it."
Ronghexin Hotel
"The room was filthy, the washing machine was broken, and I couldn't do laundry. There was no hot water, and the breakfast was terrible."
Chaqia Salt Lake Tianyu Holiday Inn
"Stayed here for a night to cover Chaka Lake next day. Most people take a hotel in Chaka Village for the same purpose. Nothing special about the hotel. Smooth checkin, facilities are decent for overnight stay at such a remote area of China. Breakfast is mostly Chinese food but they do have bread slices, jam and coffee. Toaster was not working on that day, however, manager was kind enough to get it toasted. For some reason, they provide plastic cups in the rooms rather than a proper coffee or tea cup."
Starway Hotel (Chaka Town)
"Extremely clean! The room was very spacious, and the large parking lot made parking super convenient. It's less than four kilometers from Chaka Salt Lake, which is fantastic. Highly, highly, highly recommend!"
ChaKa Huacheng Grand Hotel
"This hotel offers incredible value for money! It's super easy to find, right off the highway exit – you can't miss it, no navigation needed. Downstairs, there's a supermarket and plenty of restaurants. Both the front and back yards have parking, which is really convenient. The surrounding area is quiet, no disturbing noises. The lobby is spacious and clean, and the front desk staff are exceptionally polite, gentle, and provide excellent service. The room itself is huge, not just big, and has great natural light with a view of the scenic area and the snow-capped mountains, which is absolutely beautiful. The room was spotless, bedding was tidy and comfortable, making it feel very welcoming. Facilities are complete, and the hot water supply is stable and plentiful. The front desk even gave us complimentary fruit. Five stars, highly recommended! [Strong][Strong][Strong]"
Xingsu Grassland Starry Sky Inn
"Wonderful hotel. Loved the view of the lake and mountains from our bed! The owner was exceptionally kind. Can recommend this hotel to everyone who travels to Chaka lake and wants to have an extraordinary experience of the location"
Chaka Sky One Hotel (Sky One Scenic Area)
"The location is perfect just right next to the entrance of the scenic area. You can see Chaka salt lake from the window of the room. The breakfast is good but not much variety. The only setback is that the hygiene of the hotel is not up to 4 star standard. You can smell the awful stink when you pass by the toilet going to the dining hall."
Qianyue Gangting Homestay
Jundao Hotel
"I couldn't be happier with my choice of Chaka Jundao Hotel for this trip to Chaka Salt Lake! The hotel's location is fantastic, very close to the salt lake scenic area, making travel very convenient. There are also plenty of dining options nearby, and you can even visit the lively night market in the evening. The room was cozy, the bed was large and soft, and I slept soundly. The room was also spotlessly clean, and the basic amenities were complete."

Rezen Select Hotel (Chaka Salt Lake)
"Hotel is pretty new and has all the amenities that you’d expect from a 3 diamond hotel. In particular they have the oxygen machine that distributes oxygen to the room the whole time. At checkout, they gave some small gifts that could well save you a quick lunch:-)"
HanTing Hotel (Chaka Salt Lake)
"Bucuo"
Chaka Salt Road Hotel
"This stay truly exceeded my expectations. The room was clean and tidy, with great natural light and ventilation. The bedding was comfortable, and there was an oxygen concentrator. After visiting the Salt Lake, my pants were covered in salt, and the hotel staff kindly took them to be washed and delivered them back to my room, which was a really thoughtful touch. I slept soundly until morning. When I woke up, I saw a thick blanket of snow outside and even got to play in the courtyard for a while. The front desk service was warm and attentive, and both check-in and check-out were quick and efficient. The location is convenient, making it easy to get around and find places to eat. Overall, it offers great value for money, and the environment is quiet and peaceful. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in the area, and I highly recommend it to any friends traveling here – it's well worth a stay!"
Vienna Hotel (Ulan County Branch)
"1. The room was new, but there was a slight smell when I first entered, which disappeared after opening the window. On June 16th, they upgraded me to a room with diffused oxygen during check-in. The receptionist was a slightly overweight man, and I was very grateful. 2. The breakfast selection was very limited. If breakfast isn't included in the room, there's no need to buy it separately. How limited was it? The noodle stall only had one type of food. I ate there for three days, and it was either noodles or rice noodles – this is the first time I've encountered this at this price point. The coffee was only black; there was no latte. You had to add milk yourself for latte, and they couldn't froth it, even though the coffee machine has a latte function. There were eight stir-fried dishes (including boiled eggs, but no fried eggs). The stir-fried noodles were dry and hard, while the stir-fried vegetables were okay. The Chinese steamed pastries were acceptable, but the four Western pastries were all rock hard. 1. Juice was not available; only plain water, powdered soy milk, and milk were offered. 2. Although it was advertised as non-smoking, the lobby, elevators, and guest room corridors were filled with the smell of smoke. Even in the bathrooms, the smell could be detected from other rooms. Those with rhinitis or allergies should be aware that this hotel is not recommended for those who cannot tolerate the smell of smoke. The frequency of the smoke smell was higher than in other non-smoking hotels I've stayed in (this is based solely on my personal experience). I raised this issue with the female manager at the front desk, who said that smoking was not prohibited in public areas and only in some rooms. However, Qunar clearly stated that all room types were non-smoking. When I presented her with the evidence, she couldn't explain why Qunar stated this. (Note: I booked my first two nights through Qunar, where all room types were listed as non-smoking, not partially non-smoking.) 3. On June 17th, I booked another night on Ctrip for June 18th. This extended stay was in a family room with diffused oxygen, not the standard family room I mistakenly booked on Qunar. I checked in at the front desk on June 17th, and they informed me it was complete, without mentioning that I needed to go back to the front desk to refresh my room card on June 18th. However, when I returned to my room on the evening of June 18th, I found that the room card wouldn't open the door, meaning I had to go back downstairs to re-register after driving all day. When I extended my stay on June 17th, I informed the front desk that I didn't need cleaning. The front desk replied, "So you don't need cleaning tomorrow?" I said, "Yes." The "Do Not Disturb" light in the room was also on. But when I returned to my room on the evening of June 18th, I found that it hadn't been done as I requested. I figured not needing cleaning wouldn't be that difficult. I called to report this that evening, but the front desk staff on duty said they didn't know and would get back to me the next day. However, the next day, when I checked out, they didn't give me any response unless I brought it up. When I asked about the outcome, there was nothing. They brought in a female manager who made numerous excuses, saying she didn't know, and told me to leave and they would verify it via WeChat. I demanded it be resolved on the spot because I didn't have time to deal with these things while traveling. After they reviewed the security footage, they had nothing to say, and the front desk staff who handled it said they didn't remember. My request was a refund of 300 yuan, but they said they could only refund 100 yuan and wouldn't allow any reviews, claiming there was no actual loss. I said I would write an honest review, praising the good parts, but the female manager refused, insisting on no reviews. I couldn't accept this, so I refused the 100 yuan refund and no-review offer and ultimately chose to write an honest review. The average price is over 400 yuan per night, which isn't cheap, especially since it's not peak season and occupancy isn't high. However, the breakfast and service were far below expectations. I extended my stay simply because I was going to Hala Lake but didn't want to stay at Tianjun. Also, the male receptionist was helpful when I checked in on the 16th, which made me think the service wouldn't be too bad, but I was wrong. Choose carefully. Compared to other similar establishments at this price point outside of peak season, it's simply unacceptable."
Chaka Yanhu Xingruhai Hotel
"The hotel room was clean and didn't have any strange odors, plus breakfast was included. However, the duvet was too thick – at around 15 degrees Celsius, it was too hot with it on and too cold without it. The curtains didn't block out light effectively, and the soundproofing was poor; I was woken up by the alarm from the next room in the morning."
Gaoyuanhong Inn
"The front desk service was excellent; they even upgraded our room for free, and the room had a view of Chaka Salt Lake. Most importantly, the room provided clean and hygienic disposable bath towels and face towels."
Xingji Hotel
"The environment is clean and the hygiene is good, with warm and enthusiastic staff. The location is excellent, with convenient transportation and complete surrounding facilities. The overall atmosphere is quiet and peaceful, without any noisy disturbances."
Yanhu Zhixing Pinzhi Hotel
"The worst stay. The hotel is in a good location and has convenient parking, but the room is not clean. There are hairs and odors in the bathroom, and the bedding also has an odor. I hope the room hygiene quality can be improved."
Wulan Youzhi Holiday Hotel
"Very good, very good"
Wulan Pinsu·Good Time Inn
"Very unique homestay, rows of wooden houses, the room layout is OK, the whole homestay is very large, it was a bit cold when it rained on the day I went there, and the room was equipped with a heater"
Diamond Star Hotel Caka Salt Lake
"This is a great hotel to be in when you're visiting the Chaka Salt Lake as it's just part of the Lake. The room is kind of small but all amenities are provided. The toilet is a little awkward but on good working condition. The entrance fee for the tourist site 天空壹号 are given free of charge. The reception is warm and friendly."
Sky Mirror Grand Hotel
"This was truly the best hotel I stayed at during my entire trip to Gansu. I brought my elderly family member, who was feeling unwell due to altitude sickness after arriving the previous night. Surprisingly, the receptionist provided constant care and assistance, offering oxygen, upgrading our room, checking my blood oxygen levels, helping with our luggage, and much more. It was incredibly attentive and considerate. The breakfast the next morning was also exceptionally delicious; the steamed buns seemed to be homemade, and the vermicelli soup was amazing. The elderly gentleman in charge of breakfast explained each dish to us, and he was incredibly hospitable. The hotel environment was also top-notch, with a diffused oxygen concentrator and air purifier – a truly perfect experience!"
Bailandao Hotel
"The location is fantastic, with a great view of Chaka Salt Lake right from the window. There are plenty of dining options nearby, making it very convenient. The room was clean and tidy, and the breakfast was excellent. The front desk staff was very attentive and welcoming. Plus, the yogurt at the hotel is absolutely delicious!"
Jinhengji Hotel
"Basic hotel in rural area."
Boyue International Hotel (Chaka)
"Exceeded expectations! The staff even gave me earplugs and a silk scarf as a welcome gift, and there's a dedicated butler service. My room faced directly onto Chaka Salt Lake, offering a fantastic, expansive view. The room also came equipped with an oxygen machine and air conditioning."
Lan Xi Bo An Hotel
"The front desk service was terrible. They were unresponsive when I arrived, and only gave vague answers to my questions. The hotel itself resembled one of those traditional rural houses in southern China. The rooms weren't very big. They advertised an oxygen concentrator, but it was completely unusable. Breakfast was limited to porridge and steamed buns. The service staff's professionalism was also quite poor."
