Mercure Hotel (Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street Seaview)

We have a very great time in town and the receptionist Ren Jie was most helpful. She gave us a very good introduction of the hotel and the town. We would definitely be back again.

Been traveling to China a few times within a year, this is the first time I meet with an unhelpful front desk. I was checking with the front desk to see if my room is available if I might want to extend my check out for an hour or two, the front desk straight told me there's an hourly rate if I wanted to extend my checkout time. Well, I say it's totally fine. I'll check out at noon, to my surprise she called me back and said she can waive off the hourly charges if I write good reviews on my stay. Buying good reviews is never a good practice for the hotel. I honestly rejected her offer and walked away. I would never go to stay here again although the location is good. There are other similar hotels around the location.
